Kelly Clarkson has confirmed the amazing news: She’s a married woman! The singer exchanged vows with Brandon Blackstock yesterday at a resort in the Smoky Mountains of Walland, Tennessee, a ceremony first Tweeted about by the sister of an employee at the venue… … and now Tweeted about by Clarkson herself! “I’m officially Mrs. Blackstock 🙂 We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!” Kelly wrote this morning online, including with the announcement the above wedding portrait. Isn’t the bride gorgeous in it? The couple met through the Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock, who has been Clarkson’s manager for years. He’s married to her former touring partner, Reba McEntire. The man who allegedly beat Minnesota Vikings superstar Adrian Peterson’s two-year-old son to death earlier this month has been charged with murder. Joseph Patterson faces one count of second degree murder and two counts of first degree manslaughter, as well as aggravated battery of an infant. He was also charged with felony child abuse in the death of the two-year-old. Patterson, who was dating the boy’s mother, was supposed to be caring for the child while she was away. It’s unclear why the alleged attack occurred. Second degree murder carries a mandatory life sentence in South Dakota. The tragic case came as a surprise for obvious reasons, but also for some of the details it unearthed about Peterson, the 28-year-old 2012 NFL MVP. He had never met the boy before he was in a coma after the alleged beating, although he recently was informed of and acknowledged he was the father. Bobby Ruffin, the man who raised the deceased boy, and whose last name he carries, and who believed he was the dad until recently, called out Peterson. More specifically, he said he was sick of the “poor AP” s–t following the tragedy, even though he is not in a relationship with the boy’s mother either. Peterson has also fathered six other children by various women.

Kendra Wilkinson is expecting her second child with husband Hank Baskett, a source exclusively confirms to Us Weekly. The reality star and former Playboy model, 28, is around eight weeks pregnant. Wilkinson and the 31-year-old former NFL player, who wed in June 2009, are already parents to son Hank Baskett IV, almost 4. “She and Hank have been planning a second baby for a while,” the insider tells Us, “and they are very excited.” Indeed, Wilkinson told Us in August that she was ready to give her son a sibling. “We are trying, we are going to start now,” she said. “This is my first official announcement! According to The Hollywood Reporter Kerry Washington is set to make her debut on Saturday Night Live. The Emmy-nominated star of ABC’s Scandal is set to host the NBC show on Nov. 2. Eminem, whose new album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, will be released Nov. 5, will serve as the night’s musical guest; it marks his sixth appearance on the show. The news of Washington’s hosting gig comes on the heels of a TV Guide interview with SNL star Kenan Thompson, who lamented the lack of black female cast members. “It’s just a tough part of the business,” Thompson said. “Like in auditions, they just never find ones that are ready.” Meanwhile, Oscar-nominated actor Edward Norton is set to make his own debut as SNL host the week before Washington. According to TMZ Adrian Peterson’s baby count is now at 5 … ’cause a 4th woman has surfaced who has a child with the NFL star, TMZ has learned. This time, the baby mama is Erica Syion — a former dancer who worked at a gentlemen’s club in Dallas, TX. Erica and Adrian have a 4-year-old son together. Sources connected to the situation tell us … the two have a financial arrangement, in which Adrian gives Erica money to pay for the kid’s schooling, as well as living expenses. We’re told the two met in Houston back in 2007 … but their relationship has deteriorated in the past few years. Sources tell us Adrian IS involved in the child’s life — but Erica is the primary parent, with Adrian visiting when he can. In total, Adrian has fathered (at least) 5 children: 2 kids he referenced in a 2009 documentary … one was 4 at the time. He didn’t mention the age of the other (it’s likely he was referencing his son with Erica). Since then … he fathered Adrian Peterson Jr. (who’s 2-years-old) and a 3-month-old daughter with a waitress in Minnesota. His other son, a 2-year-old, passed away last week. Adrian Peterson’s son has died following an assault, according to reports. Sioux Falls, S.D., police have confirmed that the 2-year-old child of the NFL star. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that the young boy was beaten by the boyfriend of his mother in South Dakota, suffering severe head injuries. Earlier Friday, he was listed in critical condition. Adrian Peterson’s Son Dies Per the family’s request, the state is holding the child’s name, but the athlete’s father, Nelson Peterson, confirmed he was Adrian Peterson’s son . “All I can say is, we are asking for prayers and respect for our family as we deal with this tragic situation,” Nelson Peterson told a local newspaper. How and why did this tragedy occur? That is very much unclear at this time, but authorities believe strongly that the attack on the boy was deliberate. Joseph Robert Patterson, 27, has been charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery on an infant. According to the Sioux Falls Argus Leader: “Patterson was dating the child’s mother and was the only one home with the boy Wednesday when the abuse allegedly took place. “Patterson called 911 around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday to report the boy was choking at their Platinum Valley apartment.” “But Lt. Blaine Larsen of the Sioux Falls Police Department said it became clear at the hospital that the boy’s injuries were not accidental.” “An examination led doctors to suspect that the boy’s injuries were ‘consistent with abuse and not accidental.'” “The assault on an infant charge involves blows, shaking or causing a child’s head to sustain impact with an object in a manner that causes bleeding or swelling on the brain.” The boy was confirmed dead Friday afternoon. Adrian Peterson, the 2012 NFL MVP, returned to Vikings headquarters Friday. The all-world running back said he would be on the field Sunday. “I will be playing Sunday, without a doubt,” Peterson told the media today. “I really appreciate all the support that I’ve been receiving from fans and the Vikings. He added that “this is a private matter and I would ask you all to please just respect my privacy and not ask at all about the situation at hand.” Peterson also tweeted two hours ago: “The NFL is a fraternity of brothers and I am thankful for the tweets, phone calls and text messages from my fellow players.”

And to think, they threatened to sue him for releasing pictures. According to The NY Daily News Police say six people have been arrested on charges they were among hundreds of young partygoers who trashed the upstate New York home of a former NFL player. The Rensselaer (rehn-suh-LEER’) County sheriff’s office says more arrests are expected. The arrests came after former New England Patriots offensive lineman Brian Holloway said Thursday he signed papers authorizing the sheriff to bring charges in the Labor Day weekend party attended by up to 400 teenagers. Holloway says investigators have told him the number of people charged could end up in the hundreds as they work through the case. Holloway gained national attention by reposting pictures the teens had put on social media websites. He says he did it in an effort to get them to take responsibility but only four did. They had a “Project X” type of night and it’s going to end like “Project X”- with them all getting in trouble.
For disgraced NFL great O.J. Simpson, that’s just how the cookie crumbles. When you get caught stealing them from the prison cafeteria, that is. The Juice was caught with not one, not two, but a dozen oatmeal cookies pilfered from the correctional facility he calls home, a new report says. O.J. Simpson Steals Cookies From Prison Simpson, who’s serving a 33-year sentence for armed robbery at Lovelock Correctional Center in Pershing County, Nev., ganked them after lunch. He may have gotten away with his unusually non-violent offense but for an inquisitive guard who noticed O.J. hiding something under his prison clothes. When the corrections officer questioned O.J., he allegedly confessed. For once. “O.J. just stood there with a goofy grin on his face as the guard kept digging inside his shirt and throwing the cookies on the floor,” a source reports. Simpson’s fellow inmates were reportedly on hand to witness guards bust him. “When the guard started physically pulling cookies out of O.J.’s shirt, the other inmates started laughing so hard they nearly fell over,” the insider said. One can only assume that’s true, as it’s really the only possible reaction. Simpson, 66, was arrested in 2007 for numerous felonies, including armed robbery and kidnapping, stemming from the armed theft of sports memorabilia. He claimed it was his own and he was taking it back. A jury was unmoved. Sentenced to 33 years, the Nevada Parole Board recently granted Juice parole on some of the charges , but ordered him held for the next four years. Still, means he could be out in under 10 of the 33. Not terrible for a murderer. This incident is not expected to impact his parole. O.J. was reportedly given a warning for the theft and instructed to keep his hand out of the cookie jar. If the prison breaks out the funfetti cookies next, that could be tough.
