One point separated first-place Katherine Jenkins from William Levy and Donald Driver at the end of Monday’s Dancing With the Stars performances . Each finalist earned another 30 from one more routine on Tuesday’s finale, but the votes were in, and that Mirror Ball already had one name on it. That name was Donald Driver. The Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver was named the winner of the 14th season, making pro Peta Murgatroyd a first-time champion. “Amazing! This is awesome!” Donald said when asked how he felt. His competitors, not surprisingly, took their defeat in stride, and with class. William and Cheryl Burke finished in third place. “It was an amazing experience,” said the Cuban actor. “I thank you guys for all you have done for us.” “I’m going to miss all of you guys, I love you!” Jenkins and Mark Ballas were the runners-up. Donald Driver & Peta Murgatroyd – Freestyle (DWTS Week 10) “Thank you so much, Mark, you’ve been… I can’t put into words how much I’ve loved this,” the ever-gracious Katherine Jenkins said in defeat. “And thank you to everybody who’s had me on the show. It’s been an absolute dream, thank you.” “Congratulations, my man,” Mark Ballas said. Driver’s win makes eight for men in 14 seasons. Donald is also the third NFL pro to win after Emmitt Smith and Hines Ward, last season’s champ. What do you think? Did Donald deserve it?

After taking on ‘American Idol’ over the winter, ‘The Voice’ will now take on ‘X Factor.’ By Gil Kaufman “The Voice” coaches Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton Photo: NBC Fans of NBC reality singing competition “The Voice” will get a double-dose of spinning chairs and clashing mentors this year, as the show is being moved to the fall for its upcoming third season. The just-wrapped singing competition whose panel is anchored by country star Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and jousting judges Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine, will move to the fall, where it will vie for eyeballs with another singing reality show, Simon Cowell’s “X Factor.” According to Billboard magazine , “The Voice” will benefit from Sunday night NFL promotions in its new slot, where it will run on Mondays from 8-10 p.m. and Tuesdays from 8-9 p.m. The “X Factor” will air on Wednesday from 8-10 p.m. and Thursday 8-9 p.m. Neither show has announced a firm return date. Unnamed sources close to “The Voice” told the magazine that there are a number of revisions in store for the program that could make it look much different from the first two seasons. Among them could be more air time for the top finalists instead of a renewed focus in season two on the blind audition rounds. As “The Voice” has grown into a consistent ratings generator for NBC, executives believe it will become a go-to place for labels looking to push their big fall and holiday releases in the fourth quarter during the show’s live November and December shows. It’s unknown how the double-dip this year will impact the careers of its stars, as Aguilera is working on new music, Levine and his band, Maroon 5, are preparing to release the new disc Overexposed on June 26 and Green has said he’s working on his next solo album and prepping a return from his hip-hop crew, Goodie Mob. The only hiccup from the “Voice” move is that Cowell may steal their thunder on Monday (May 14) when he is expected to announce that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will join the judging panel of “Factor” for season two. That isht cray! Tebowing To Be Included In New Madden 13 Video Game “Tebowing” has made its way to “Madden NFL 13,” according to the game’s creative director Mike Young. Young made the announcement on his Twitter account, but it was not clear when or how the popular kneeling pose — inspired by Jets quarterback and devout Christian Tim Tebow, who is known for dropping to one knee in prayer — will be used in the EA Sports game. Tebowing, which also requires placing a fist on your forehead, has been mimicked across the world and spawned a website where people can submit pictures of themselves striking the pose. The game is set to be released on Aug. 28, with Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson on the cover. No one can agree if Tim Tebow is a good quarterback or not, but he’s provocative, he gets the people GOING!!! #BallSoHard Images AP Images/EA Sports Source
Actor’s lawyer says he’s been ‘completely vindicated.’ By Gil Kaufman John Travolta Photo: Ryan Pierse/Getty Images The first of the two anonymous massage therapists who filed a sexual battery lawsuit against John Travolta has withdrawn his legal action. According to CNN , Okorie Okarocha, the lawyer representing a client known as John Doe #1, filed papers on Tuesday to drop the client after he discovered that the masseur had misstated the date on which he alleged the incident with Travolta took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Travolta’s lawyer, Martin Singer, said the withdrawal means the actor has been “completely vindicated” and added that, “we fully expect that my client will similarly be vindicated with respect to Doe #2, as well as with respect to any other person who makes meritless claims against John Travolta.” Despite Singer’s claims, Okarocha he stood behind the second unnamed plaintiff, who claimed Travolta groped him during a massage in an Atlanta hotel last January. “I can guarantee that John Doe #2 has a truckload of witnesses to back up what he’s saying,” he said. Okarocha said the second therapist’s claims are reportedly backed up by a series of e-mails in which he complains to his supervisors about Travolta’s advances. Reacting to that comment, Singer said the documents he’s seen online purporting to be one of those e-mails, “significantly does not refer to my client at all, nor does it make any mention whatsoever of any of the things outrageously alleged in Doe #2’s lawsuit … Instead, Doe #2 voiced complaints about his co-workers gossiping and being insubordinate.” The fact that the e-mail doesn’t once mention Travolta’s name, “says it all,” according to Singer. “Nothing that is alleged in Doe #2’s lawsuit was mentioned in the e-mail he sent to his bosses, making his claims even more unbelievable … The allegations in ‘Doe #2’s’ lawsuit are unraveling, just like ‘Doe #1’s’ ridiculous allegations, which were proven false and impossible,” he said. Okarocha appeared confident in his case, though, vowing to “mop up” in the courtroom with the witnesses and documents in the case against Travolta. “I think I can show a custom, habit and practice,” Okarocha said, referring to his claims that the actor has sexually assaulted dozens of other massage therapists over the years. “If I bring in 100 people that don’t have an ax to grind, don’t want any money, they’re in 50 different states, they don’t know each other, they’re all massage therapists, they all have dates, they’re at different spa resorts and they say this exact same thing happened, it’s pretty hard to refute.” Unlike the first accuser, Okarocha vowed that his client, “ain’t going nowhere,” and is looking forward to a trial. Travolta, 58, has been married to actress Kelly Preston for 20 years and has repeatedly denied whisper campaigns about his sexuality. Before dropping the first accuser, Okarocha apologized on Friday for putting the wrong date of the John Doe #1 incident in the lawsuit, which his client initially told him occurred on January 16, 2012. Singer was able to produce a restaurant receipt and a time-stamped photo that showed Travolta was in New York, not Los Angeles, on that date. Rather than amend the lawsuit, Okarocha decided to withdraw the allegation from the suit and drop John Doe #1 to avoid hurting the chances of the second plaintiff’s suit. Radar Online reported that John Doe #1 has hired famed L.A. attorney Gloria Allred to represent him. “I represent John Doe #1. Mr. Doe’s lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice which means that he is still legally entitled to file another lawsuit against John Travolta if he chooses,” said Allred. “We are in the process of conferring with him regarding the next steps, which he may wish to take. Our client and our firm has no further comment at this time.”
‘I love the effect she has on people,’ KStew tells MTV News. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Charlize Theron in “Snow White and the Huntsman” Photo: Universal Despite their obvious differences both onscreen and off, Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron have formed a bond during the filming of “Snow White and the Huntsman” and even more so during the current press tour in support of the film. When MTV News caught up with Stewart recently, we asked her to compare the familiar scenario of doing interviews with her longtime “Twilight” co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner versus her new castmate, the lovely Ms. Theron. “When Rob, Taylor and I do interviews together, they usually don’t actually ask us anything. We just get to hang out and people like to watch that,” Stewart said with a laugh. “It’s fine, because I like hanging out with those guys, but it is weird. With Charlize, it’s been great, because we’re so proud of the movie and we actually only worked together for three days, so we got to know each other probably more or at least on a certain level during press, and it’s been nice. It’s been fun.” Stewart said she especially admires Theron’s ability to light up a room with her energy and humor. “Some people intimidate you. Some people’s energy is so big you feel like you don’t fit in the room, but with her, I really appreciate how different we are. I love the effect she has on people,” Stewart said. “I find it hilarious. I love watching it happen. I do not have that. Maybe I have something else, but it’s definitely not as visceral. Also, she’s really hilarious,” she added, noting that the Oscar winner uses the more colorful swear words with particular aplomb. “[She] puts me to shame, to be honest,” Stewart said.
