Chad OchoCinco Redoes Deal To Stay With New England Patriots Evelyn might need to get him a full-time gig on Basketball Wives until their spinoff airs: New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco agreed to restructure his contract for the coming season, lowering his base salary to $1 million from the $3 million he had been scheduled to earn, according to a league source. The restructured deal ensures that Ochocinco will be returning to Patriots training camp this summer. The paperwork on the contract is expected to be turned in to the NFL Players Association this week. Ochocinco, 34, struggled in his first season with the Patriots after being acquired in a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals, catching just 15 passes for 276 yards and a touchdown. The Patriots have added many new faces at the receiver position this offseason too, agreeing to deals with Brandon Lloyd, Donte’ Stallworth and Anthony Gonzalez. Deion Branch agreed to a one-year deal to return and Wes Welker received the team’s franchise tag. Hmmmm…sounds like he’ll be cut when the season is over. Magic got that GWAP!!! Magic Johnson Group Buys The L.A. Dodgers For $2 Billion One Los Angeles institution is buying another. A group that includes former Lakers star Magic Johnson and longtime baseball executive Stan Kasten agreed Tuesday night to buy the Dodgers from Frank McCourt for a record $2 billion. The price would shatter the mark for a sports franchise. Stephen Ross paid $1.1 billion for the NFL’s Miami Dolphins in 2009, and in England, Malcolm Glazer and his family took over the Manchester United soccer club in 2005 in a deal then valued at $1.47 billion. Mark Walter, chief executive officer of the financial services firm Guggenheim Partners, would become the controlling owner. The deal, revealed about five hours after Major League Baseball owners approved three finalists for an intended auction, is one of several steps toward a sale of the team by the end of April. It is subject to approval in federal bankruptcy court. “I am thrilled to be part of the historic Dodger franchise and intend to build on the fantastic foundation laid by Frank McCourt as we drive the Dodgers back to the front page of the sports section in our wonderful community of Los Angeles,” Johnson said in a statement. As part of the agreement, the Dodgers said McCourt and “certain affiliates of the purchasers” would acquire the land surrounding Dodger Stadium, including its parking lots, for $150 million. Looks like VH1 will be missing one thirsty a$$ reality slore from it’s programming Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner and his baby mama, Rasheeda Walker, recently reached an agreement in a custody battle over their second child. Via TMZ reports : According to the agreement, Michael will get to see his new son significantly during the off-season — from January to August — and on his bye weeks during the season. Turner also agreed to pay Rasheeda $6,000 a month. But the best part — according to the docs, “The parties agree that it is not in the best interest of either of the children to appear on any reality television show or program, absent mutual consent” … meaning neither party wants the other to exploit the child on a reality show without the other’s prior approval. It’s a pretty amicable conclusion — considering Rasheeda and Turner’s current GF got into a nasty golf club-wielding brawl last month … in front of the NFL star’s Georgia mansion. So, he probably believes $72k a year is a small price to pay to keep his name out of the media spotlight. For those of you still in doubt that Evelyn Lozada will actually wed Chad Ochocinco … Just know there is a whole TV production riding on it! Late yesterday a press release went out describing the premise for their newly announced “Ev And Ocho” reality series, which is set to air in September, and it turns out the WHOLE show pretty much revolves around the wedding-planning and concludes with a two-part wedding special. Here are the details: VH1 has signed “Basketball Wife” Evelyn Lozada and her fiancé, NFL superstar Chad Ochocinco for a new series showcasing their upcoming wedding, including all the scheduling, details and drama that lead to their special day. Deion’s estranged wife is suing the NFL Hall of Famer for $200 million , for “emotional and physical abuse, mental distress, public humiliation and financial loss.” Pilar also claims that Deion had an affair with Tracey Edmonds , the ex-wife of Babyface Edmonds. Tracey told TMZ : “I am shocked to learn that Pilar Sanders is trying to drag me and my employees through her pre-nuptual dispute. Last year, MediaTakeOut reported that Falcons Linebacker, Michael Turner has 7 kids. According to one of his baby mamas, he has another one on the way. TMZ reports that Rasheeda Walker has 2 kids with the NFL star and one more on the way. Unfortunately, Michael’s new girlfriend wasn’t trying to hear that. According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, Walker claims she has 2 children with Turner and is “upset because he refuses to see them.” She also claims she’s pregnant with Turner’s 3rd child and wanted to talk to him about the situation. Walker told cops she knocked on the front door … only to be ambushed by Turner’s new GF Elizabeth Delacruz … who was wielding a golf club and shouting, “YOU AT MY HOUSE NOW B*TCH.” Source TMZ

Jack Wagner, Sherri Shepherd, Maria Menounos, Gavin DeGraw and Melissa Gilbert are among those competing on Dancing With the Stars this spring. A pair of sports stars – Green Bay Packers wideout Donald Driver and tennis legend Martina Navratilova – will also be lacing up their dancing shoes. Perhaps more importantly, Maksim Chmerkovskiy says he’ll be back! DeGraw is up for some serious double duty, as he will also continue his current U.S. tour for the first few weeks of the season, if he can last that long.
