Kelly docuseries —actually after episode 1—many were asking, “How is he not in jail?” Those hoping the R&B crooner and alleged sexual abuser get his proper comeuppance have gotten new hope since he is now officially under criminal investigation in Georgia.  According to TMZ , the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office has opened an investigation into the allegations that were made against the singer in the documentary. Via first-hand accounts, multiple women detailed being held by Kelly in horrifying conditions in his Georgia home. Investigators have reportedly reached out to several of the survivors, including Asante McGee, a woman who per her account had enough and managed to leave Kelly’s clutches. In the documentary, McGee returns to the now vacant home and the experience is traumatic, to say the least. Joycelyn Savage’s family has also been contacted. Kelly dominated the news and social media conversation this past weekend and a LOT of bozos, losers, apologists, and ashy types out to cape for Robert and shame the victims. Well, let it be known that airing out Robert’s disgusting decades of behavior wasn’t in vain. Not in the least bit. According to TMZ, Fulton County District Attorney’s Office has opened an investigation into sexual abuse claims made by one of the women who managed to escape R. Kelly’s clutches. Sources close to the situation say this new look into R. Kelly’s alleged crimes is directly influenced by doc. Police are reaching out to numerous women who have horror stories about the R&B singer and it is confirmed that they have already spoken to escaped Kelly’ victim Asante McGee. Joceyln Savage’s family is also cooperating with the police. It is said that after Surviving aired, detectives received an overwhelming amount of phone calls with pertinent information. We hope to GOD that something comes of this.

They say that love happens when you least expect it, and that was definitely the case for Jessica Share who recently met her daughter’s biological father and ended up falling in love with him. Share and Aaron Long have been dating for a little over a year now, but their genetics were introduced nearly 13 years ago when Jessica chose him as her sperm donor back in 2005. GMA reports, Long was a sperm donor in the mid-90s, and in 2005, Share selected his sperm to have her daughter with her female partner in Ohio, saying she was initially attracted to his sperm donor profile. Share and her wife split up a couple of years ago, and at around the same time she says her daughter started poking around on the DNA testing site 23 and Me. There, Alice connected with her biological father, who soon began talking to her mother. After Share and Long met, the rest was communal home history. Jessica, Aaron and their daughter Alice all live together in Seattle along with Jessica’s other children. No word on how many of the kids Aaron may be the papi of.

According to the Seattle Times , legislation was signed to name the Renton Highlands Post Office after Hendrix. Instagram removed an advertisement for a mobile game from their app after the singer posted several IG stories denouncing the ad and asking for it to be taken down.  The sponsored post promoting a game called “Game of Sultans” featured two side-by-side characters, one dubbed “obese” and another called “pretty.” “Why is this fat shaming bull**it on my feed,” the 26-year-old wrote on her Instagram story. “So many things wrong with this ad.” She even tweeted about it to draw attention to the ad and how much of a problem she has with it, urging her fans to “always speak up for what you believe in.” Just called out Instagram and some bullshit game on my insta stories.. go check it out. Always speak up for what you believe in! — Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) January 4, 2019 The message from the ad is basically that only skinny women are pretty–which is clearly wrong and problematic–so Demi took it upon herself to take a stand. “This is absolutely harmful to anyone who is easily influenced by societal pressures put on us from the diet culture to constantly be losing weight in a world that teaches us to equate our value and worth with the way we look and especially anyone in recovery from an eating disorder,” she wrote. “Especially when eating disorders are all about ‘control.’” Lovato goes on to directly call out Instagram for allowing an ad that degrades the way people look on its platform. “Please Instagram, keep this bull**it off mine and other’s feeds who could easily be effected by this disgusting advertisement,” she wrote. “With how aware people are becoming of mental health and mental illnesses, I expect you guys to know better by allowing this advertisement to be allowed on your app. And shame on the game.” Following the post, Instagram ended up apologizing and told  TMZ   the ad violated its terms of service and would be removed. “We’re sorry. Lee Merritt are offering a $100,000 reward anyone with more information on the gunman.

Today, one of their most recent suspects was allowed to walk away from his alleged crime unscathed. According to ESPN , San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster had the domestic violence against him dropped the State Attorney for lack of evidence. Prosecutors concluded there was insufficient evidence to file charges against Foster after “a meticulous review of the facts of the case,” said Estella Gray, director of communications for the State Attorney’s Office. Adonte Pointer, Attorney for the victim, Elissa Ennis, didn’t mince words in response to the State Attorney’s decision. “We’re disappointed. The prosecutor’s choice is yet another slap in the face to Miss Ennis, just like the one Mr. Foster gave her in Tampa,” Ennis’ attorney, Adante Pointer, told ABC News. “Elissa Ennis was fully ready to participate and hold him accountable. This is not a situation where she recanted, nor that the prosecutor had new evidence that it didn’t happen.” Just so that we’re all clear about what exactly Reuben was charged with… Tampa police said Foster and Ennis were involved in a verbal altercation and that “Foster slapped her phone out of her hand, pushed her in the chest area, and slapped her with an open hand on the left side of her face.” Police said a 1-inch scratch was observed on her left collarbone. This incident followed a February 2018 arrest where Reuben was suspected of domestic violence and weapons possession. Charges were dropped when Elissa recanted her initial testimony that Reuben hit her. She then said the recant was lie during an interview on GMA. A “love” lie. Scot. Free.
