Josh Hutcherson is no longer hungering for a girlfriend. Why? Because he’s reportedly playing the game of love with Ariana Grande! An insider tells Life & Style that the actor is romantically involved with Victorious star Ariana Grande. She plays Cat Valentine on that Nickelodeon sitcom. “They’ve been seeing each other since the beginning of the year,” a source tells the tabloid, adding that Grande even attended the Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games with her man, but didn’t walk down the red carpet because “they’ve been trying to keep it low-profile.” Hutcherson previously dated Vanessa Hudgens .

So when TeenNick decided to bring back one of my favorite 90′s nostalgia shows, All That, you must have did the cabbage patch in your chair. ‘X Factor’ finalist will make her Nickelodeon debut as Starr, an eccentric, big-voiced teenager. By Christina Garibaldi Rachel Crow Photo: MTV News Even though Rachel Crow was eliminated from “The X Factor” earlier than expected, most believed that it wouldn’t be the last time we would see the pint-sized teen. And they were right. In the four months since that night, the 14-year-old has landed a recording contract with Columbia Records and an overall talent deal with Nickelodeon . On Friday (April 6), Crow starts this next chapter in her career as she begins her guest starring role on the hit Nickelodeon series “Fred: The Show.” “I can’t even tell you how much fun I’m having,” Crow told MTV News on set last month. “It’s gonna be cool looking and being like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m on TV again!’ … It’s very exciting. I’m very happy with it. I’m having a great time; this is really fun. It’s not work when you come here, it is work, but it’s fun. It’s something that you want to go to. It’s really awesome.” Crow plays the role of Starr, a high school student who believes she is a talented actress and singer. Yet, to her classmates, she is seen as eccentric and somewhat awkward. “My character Starr is theatrical, she is wacky,” Crow said. “She’s very out there and very over the top.” In her debut episode, “Class Election,” which has a two-episode story arc, Starr tries to help Fred win a school election against his nemesis, Kevin, but when the election turns dirty, Starr decides to run against them both. During the episode, Crow shows off her sharp acting ability, but also reminds us what made us fall in love with her in the first place: her voice. “I do [sing], “Crow said. “I do a little bit and I just sing like wacky stuff like two words or a couple words and some wacky school anthems, it’s really fun.” Check out Crow on “Fred: The Show” on Friday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon. ‘There’s an American rapper, potentially, and he’s very good and I can’t mention who he is,’ Tom Parker hints to MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Kelly Marino The Wanted Photo: MTV News The Wanted dropped their swagged-out party track “Chasing the Sun” this week, and despite any literal interpretations one might expect from a video for a song with that title, the guys say they want to go a bit more fun and less obvious. “We’re gonna be flying through space, literally, running after the sun the whole three minutes,” Nathan Sykes joked to MTV News after they stepped off the “American Idol” stage Thursday night. But bandmate Jay McGuiness quickly clarified that’s not the case at all. “We saw a lot of treatments and a lot of them took it literally, somewhere chasing the sun,” he said. “But we decided we weren’t into that. We worked with a director called Director X, so we know it’s going to be a good party. But we’ll leave the details until we release it.” Director X has already hooked up with the guys on two of their videos, the sun-drenched “Glad You Came” and the darker clip for “Warzone.” “Chasing the Sun” is the lead single from the Wanted’s forthcoming U.S. debut , set for release later this month, and Max George is counting down the days until it drops. “We’ve got an EP coming out in the 24th of April that’s all ready to go. I wish it was out now, really,” he said. “We’re really excited for it to come out. Hopefully all our fans will love the other songs. We’ve got some singles we’ve done in the U.K. We’ve got some new songs we’ve written. I think they’ll like it, I hope.” And while the album is done, Tom Parker noted there could be a last-minute guest on it. “For ‘Chasing the Sun’ there’s an American rapper, potentially, and he’s very good and I can’t mention who he is,” he teased. The guys added he’s someone who loves cats but noted it’s not Cee Lo Green, who frequently chills with his cat Purrfect on “The Voice.” Sykes said the rapper would appear on “just the single version; the full version of the track will be on the EP. Potentially the single version is with this unnamed rapper. He’s very talented.” What is your favorite song by the Wanted? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists The Wanted
The band will make their acting debut on ‘iCarly’ Saturday, the same night they take the ‘SNL’ stage. By Christina Garibaldi One Direction on “iCarly” Photo: Nickelodeon One Direction fans, get ready, because you are about to get a double dose of the boy band this Saturday night. The British pop sensation will take the stage as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live and will also make their television acting debut on Nickelodeon’s “iCarly.” Fans have been patiently waiting the special episode, “iGo One Direction,” since it was taped in January. MTV News visited the set of “iCarly” recently to talk to the cast about their exciting guest stars. Noah Munck, who plays Gibby, gave us a preview of what will happen on Saturday’s show, including One Directioner Harry Styles catching a disease called “jungle worms” from Carly. “Gibby is a huge fan of One Direction, he screams like a little girl every time they come in the room, so that definitely was a fun episode to shoot,” Munck added. And in terms of their acting abilities, it seems like the One Direction boys got rave reviews from the cast. “Having One Direction on set was really cool, we didn’t really know what to expect from them, because we had heard that they didn’t really have any acting experience because they have a lot of lines and are almost in every scene. So we were uncertain as to how well the shooting would go,” Nathan Krauss said. “But we were all very pleasantly surprised they did very, very well, especially Harry, because he had to pretend to be sick the whole time. … It was cool, just seeing the five of us mesh with the five of them.” In addition to adjusting to five new people on set, the “iCarly” also had to deal with the hundreds of screaming fans who waited outside the show for hours hoping to catch a glimpse of the 1D boys. “It was a crazy day here,” Munck said. “Along the fence of our studio was like maybe 200 screaming girls. I’m like, ‘Oh are they here for me?’ No, they’re here for the band. I hear they tried to push the gates down to get in. It got intense.” Yet, the biggest 1D fan of them all might just be the star of “iCarly” herself, Miranda Cosgrove. “I’ve known about them for probably the last two years, so I liked them a lot,” Cosgrove said, saying she first discovered the band watching the U.K.’s “The X Factor.” “I was really excited to have them on the show. Every one of them was really funny and they all knew their lines and I think they have very good chemistry and they seem like really good friends.” “iCarly” airs Saturday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon. ‘X Factor’ vet, who recently signed deals with Nickelodeon and Columbia Records, tells MTV News, ‘Everything worked out perfectly.’ By Christina Garibaldi Rachel Crow Photo: MTV News It was the most shocking elimination of the first season of “The X Factor” when Rachel Crow was sent home in December. The 13-year-old, known for her infectious personality and smile, dropped to her knees in tearful exit, saying to the crowd, “I hope this is not my ending. You know what? I know it’s not, and I will go so far. I promise you, and I love you.” It seems Crow was right: Just last month, the young star signed an overall talent deal with Nickelodeon to star in her own comedy series and signed a record deal with Columbia Records. MTV News caught up with Crow recently in Los Angeles, who revealed that she has no regrets about her time on “Factor” or her fifth-place elimination. “A lot of people ask me if I looked back, what would be one thing that I would change? And, nothing,” Crow said. “Everything worked out perfectly.” A big supporter of Crow was her mentor on the show, Simon Cowell, who said after her elimination, “Like I said from the very first time I met you, we’re going to be hearing a lot more about Rachel Crow. I give you my word on that.” Crow revealed that she and Cowell have kept in contact and that his support is a big reason for her success. “I text him, funny enough,” she shared. “I love him; he’s just a really nice guy. “It’s really awesome to have someone like that on your team. I really love him, and I look up to him as well and what he’s done for me. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t be where I am today, so it’s really amazing getting to say that to people. I’m very thankful.” Yet, Cowell isn’t the only “X Factor” vet Crow keeps in touch with: She said she remains friends with many of the contestants as well as former judge Paula Abdul. “I do keep in touch with Paula a lot; we tweet back and forth, which is awesome,” Crow said. “I do keep in touch with a lot of the contestants, such as Drew , Marcus, I do keep in touch with Stereo Hogzz, Melanie [Amaro] , a lot of people from the show, Chris Rene , just pretty much everyone that was top 10.” So what was Crow’s reaction to the firing of both Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger ? “Well, I think they’re both really great people, and they’re gonna do amazing things,” she said. It’s now looking likely that Britney Spears will fill one of the vacant judges’ seats . The pop star was reportedly offered the position and a $10 million paycheck. “That’d be cool,” Crow said of Spears being a judge. “I’m just kinda moved past it right now.” Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: Rachel Crow
‘X Factor’ alum tells MTV News her Nick pilot will be ‘really Rachel.’ By Christina Garibaldi Rachel Crow Photo: MTV News Rachel Crow, the pint-size cutie who won over America on “The X Factor” and made a lasting impression with her heartbreaking elimination , may have come out of the singing competition a winner after all. Just last month, Crow not only landed a recording contract with Columbia Records, but also signed an overall talent deal with Nickelodeon to star in her own musical-comedy pilot. MTV News caught up with Crow on the set of the Nick series “Fred: The Show,” where she will be a series regular as the character Starr. “My head was exploding when I couldn’t tell anyone,” Crow said about her new projects. “I kept telling people, ‘Oh, stuff will be coming out soon,’ and then it kept getting pushed back, pushed back, and I was like, ‘People are gonna think I’m lying!’ But I’m so happy I can tell everyone about it now. I’m really excited.” Crow, who finished in fifth place on “X Factor,” has not yet started filming her own series but promises it will be a true representation of her personality. “I’ve been thinking about it. We’re kind of in the first stages of deciding what it’s gonna be now,” Crow said. “But it’ll be really fun, really Rachel. We’ll see how it goes. I’m still thinking about it, something really fun and something that kids can relate to.” In addition to staying true to herself, she’s also hoping to reach an audience that may not be too familiar with her: the boys. “I want to reach the boy audience, because I know that’s really hard to do,” Crow admitted. “Boys don’t usually watch a really girly show, but I want to make sure that it’s a family-oriented, very fun, edgy, wacky show.” And to get that edgy twist she is looking for, she already has some dream guest stars in mind. “I’ve always wanted to sing with Eminem . I know, it’s really weird. I really love him,” Crow said. “I would really love for [‘Fred: The Show’ star] Lucas [Cruikshank] to be on my show, a lot of the Nickelodeon stars. I’m still super excited, I can’t even believe what’s happening.” Are you excited for Rachel Crow’s Nickelodeon show? Let us know in the comments! Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: Rachel Crow
