Nicki Minaj covers the April 2012 Issue of Allure Magazine. In the interview, she talks about coming for Jay-Z’s spot and how she loses weight WITHOUT exercise. Check out a few excerpts from the interview here. When asked about “dethroning” Jay-Z Nicki had this to say: “I never thought about music as just being the end-all, be-all. I always looked at it like a business, something that I could create an empire out of…. I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. He said, ‘Congratulations on all your success.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m coming for you. I’m coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul.’” When asked how she stays fit Nicki says: “I’m naturally petite, but I definitely struggle with keeping those extra pounds off. And I hate working out. I can’t stand being on a treadmill. That mentally irks me. When I need to lose a few, I just cut out sugar and starch.”

Karrueche Tran and Rihanna have been taking subliminal shots at each other for weeks now. It all started when Rihanna posted a photo of a package of Rice Cakes wearing sunglasses and earrings (as an insult on Karrueche Tran’s Asian culture). Following the diss, Karrueche dished her own jab at Rihanna, or at least “we think” she did. Yesterday, screenshots of Karrueche Tran’s Facebook Page with the status update: “I’m Angelina, you Jennifer. C’mon, you see where Brad at!” The popular lyric is from Nicki Minaj’s single “Stupid H*e” which many viewed as a directed towards Rihanna. However, Karrueche cleared things up with a simple tweet yesterday. Apparently, THAT Facebook page is bogus:

Discovery News reports that Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest has distributed 55,000 condoms around local colleges and universities that feature implanted QR codes, which track when and where people have sex. The reported data is stored on a website called WhereDidYouWearIt.com , all in the name of public health, of course. The way it works is each condom has a barcode which the user can scan with their Smartphone to upload their location as well as general details of their sexual experience (anonymously). A rep for Planned Parenthood said: “Condoms are an essential tool in preventing unintended pregnancy and stopping the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV… We hope the site promotes discussions within relationships about condoms and helps to remove perceived stigmas that some people may have about condom use. Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-rapper Cee-Lo Green has signed with Grand Central Publishing to publish his memoir next year. The as-yet untitled book will “tell the personal and candid story of how he found his voice as an artist and a showman.” Mediabistro.com says that fellow Goodie Mob member Big Gipp and Rolling Stone reporter David Wild will also aid with the project. In a statement, Atlanta-native Cee-Lo said about the release: “After reading my book, there will be no doubt that I am meant to be. You will enter into the supernatural, the surreal, and extraordinary. As CeeLo Green, a.k.a. ‘everybody’s brother,’ I will make you a believer. It’s no wonder Nicki Minaj and her boyfriend Safaree are always fighting … how would you feel if your lady was locking lips with other guys? Over the weekend at the NBA All Star game, Nicki greeted Lil Wayne with a kiss on the lips. Nicki was given the honor of kicking off the 2012 NBA All-Star Game, performing several songs including “Moment 4 Life,” “Turn Me On,” her latest single “Starships,” and of course one of my favs, “Super Bass.” It was really more like the Nicki Minaj show, But here is the kiss that everyone is talking about! Look how Drake is looking down as if he does not want to look! Ehhh What do you think?
Rumor has it Drake was supposed to be on the cover of the February issue of VIBE, but pulled some diva moves that may have gotten him pulled from the cover. Word is, he came to the set eight hours late and refused to cooperate with the styling for the issue. VIBE contributor Lola Ogunnaike says that Drake was set to appear on the cover to accompany his story, but he showed up eight hours late and refused to wear any of the provided wardrobe. A source at the shoot says, “He brought his own clothes, which was mostly Hemès and leather bomber jackets … But it was a shoot about spring fashion. He was going on and on about wearing his leather bomber, and wasn’t letting it go. He said the [female] stylist was too aggressive, that he wasn’t a model and he wasn’t feeling the vibe. He hopped in his SUV and left.” Nicki Minaj ended up scoring the cover instead.

The reigning queen of rap rocked her smash single “Super Bass” in the jam-packed b-ball arena. Wearing a skintight white jumpsuit and a blond and pink hairdo, the Young Money MC spit her bars and hit her dance steps in front of the thousands of fans in Amway and the millions watching at home. After the short set, Nicki strutted back to her dressing room and spotted MTV News on the way. The topic of conversation? MTVs Hottest MCs in the Game VII , of course. Nicki placed #4 on the list and proceeded to talk her ish as a true MC should. “Hottest MCs #4, let’s get it,” she boasted with a Queens swagger. “That’s big, though. I deserve it. I put in work.” On Thursday night Nicki released her new single “Roman Reloaded” with Lil Wayne, and on the new single from her upcoming sophomore album she made sure to brag and boast. Only Rick Ross, Drake and Kanye West placed higher, giving Minaj the highest Hottest ranking for a female MC in the history of the debate. Nicki was initially slotted at #5 with Young Money boss Wayne clocking in at #4, but several members of the MTV Hottest Brain Trust felt strongly enough about Nicki’s accomplishments mixed with her lyrical impact and ability to more than hold her own when playing with the boys warranted a second look at her ranking. Hottest MCs moderator Sway Calloway called for a vote and in the end, six of the nine experts elected to move Nicki up to the #4 spot, sending Weezy down to #5.
