Congrats to Nicki Minaj she has set a new record on Vevo with her brand new video “Stupid Hoe” getting 4.8 million views in 24 hours. Nicki also revealed yesterday via Twitter that she will be starring in a new film project. When asked about her plans for the day, she told her followers she’s “Shooting a mini movie.” Minaj was hush-hush on what kind of movie she was filming only adding that it was for the initials “RH.” Hopefully this won’t be some kind of Lady Gaga -like lengthy music video. After being coy with her fans, Minaj wished them a good day. “So blessings & love to all of u!!! Excel today. Excel, ” she tweeted. Minaj did promise plenty of surprises before her April 3 release of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, so whatever “RH” is might be part of the surprises. In two weeks, Minaj will join Madonna onstage for the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show on Feb. 5 in Indianapolis.

And it seems that these two milestones will have a few things in common. First off, there’s a good chance Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. will not only play parts in the video for the first single off Madge’s M.D.N.A. release, dropping later this year, but as heavily speculated, they might take the stage with the Queen of Pop during the February 5 halftime show. In true Madonna fashion, when MTV News caught up with her at the New York premiere of her film, “W.E.,” she played it cool regarding rumors about the performance. Asked whether the ladies will join her at the Super Bowl, she coyly responded, “I am not saying ‘Yes,’ and I am not saying ‘No.’ ” The only tease she wanted to give was, “Pom poms. That’s all I can tell you.” When Madonna takes the halftime stage next month, her performance will be “imagined” by Cirque du Soleil and Madonna’s longtime choreographer and creative director Jamie King. According to reports, the set list for the show will include “Luvin” as well as the Madonna classics “Ray of Light,” Vogue” and “Music.” Of course, fans won’t find the theme a far stretch for the Michigan native, who was a cheerleader back in her high school days. “I have eight minutes to set up my stage, 12 minutes to put on the greatest show on earth, and I have seven minutes to take it down so that football field is clean for the second half of the game,” she told ABC News about the performance. “That’s the challenge. How do you do that? I actually wanted to have 100 drummers come from the ceiling, a drumline from the ceiling.” So, what else will the Super Bowl show and her Megaforce-directed clip have in common? Madge simply told us, laughing, “Pom poms.” The video was shot in December with both Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. on set. The “Back to December” singer hit Sundance on Friday (January 20) to attend the red-carpet premiere of “Ethel,” the HBO documentary chronicling the life of Ethel Kennedy. Indeed, a grand total of 23 members of the Kennedy clan were on hand, including the documentary’s director Rory, daughter of Ethel. What exactly prompted Taylor’s attendance at the “Ethel” red carpet? According to the musician herself in a recent interview with Vogue, Taylor had an encounter with the 83-year-old Ethel some weeks ago. Describing the woman as “effervescent,” Taylor said the meeting with the wife of the late Robert Kennedy left her feeling “starstruck” for the first time in her life. “The only time in my life I have ever been starstruck was meeting Caroline and Ethel Kennedy,” she told the magazine. “I got to spend the afternoon with Ethel a couple of weeks ago. She is one of my favorites, because you look back at the pictures of her and Bobby, and they always look like they are having the most fun out of everybody. You know, 11 kids, all these exotic animals on their property. I’ve read a lot about them.” Taylor wasn’t the only non-Kennedy who showed up to the “Ethel” red carpet. Sundance founder and legendary actor Robert Redford also hit the scene to show his appreciation and admiration for the project — and to pose for a few photos with Swift. Young Money rapper softens the blow of sophomore album’s delay by premiering her ‘Stupid H–‘ video. By Nadeska Alexis Nicki Minaj Photo: Getty Images Back in November, Nicki Minaj announced that her sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, would debut February 14, giving fans a little something extra to look forward to on Valentine’s Day. Now, there’s been a change of plans. Just a couple of hours after premiering the video for her latest single, “Stupid Hoe,” on Friday (January 20) Minaj announced that the album would be delayed until April. “New Album Date: April 3rd. Pink Friday: ROMAN RELOADED,” she wrote to her throngs of followers on Twitter . “But have no fear. Tons of surprises before then ;). Love Always, HB.” Fans weren’t thrilled to hear about the delay, but the new video for “Stupid Hoe” was enough to tide them over momentarily. In the colorful clip, directed by Hype Williams, Nicki is in full Barbie mode with bright makeup, her signature pink wig and prosthetic body parts, and she even gets a little ferocious, morphing into a caged tiger. With the sexy, bubblegum effect of the video, it’s almost easy to forget that the track throws a few harsh words at her female critics, most notably Lil’ Kim. When “Stupid Hoe” originally premiered in December, the song held the first clue that Minaj might perform at Super Bowl XLVI (“2012 I’m at the Super Bowl,” she raps), and the video confirms that suspicion. In the midst of the outrageous colors and special effects, the video cuts to a sign that reads “2012 Super Bowl,” which means the Young Money rapper will likely perform alongside headliner Madonna . After premiering the video, Minaj proceeded to retweet the overwhelmingly positive responses from her Barbz, who will likely be thrilled when she releases the album’s second video for “Roman in Moscow.” In December Minaj told MTV News that the visuals would set the stage for Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. ” ‘Roman in Moscow’ is like a teaser to Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, ” Minaj said. “When I say it’s a teaser, it’s like a trailer to the movie, it’s like setting the stage, and I just wanted to touch the surface. Trey Songz’s “Unusual,” Big Sean and Kanye West’s “Marvin & Chardonnay” and, of course, Nicki Minaj ‘s 2010 single “Your Love” are just a few of the duo’s hits. Now they’re up for a Grammy thanks to their work on Nicki’s Pink Friday, which is nominated in the Best Rap Album category. Pop, a Philadelphia native, and his production partner Oak, who hails from Istanbul, Turkey, have been working as a duo since 2008, back when they first produced “Your Love” for a then-emerging Minaj. ” ‘Your Love’ was a song that didn’t make Beam Me Up Scotty, the mixtape,” Pop told Mixtape Daily. Nicki was super-critical of her performance on the song, but after it eventually leaked at the top of 2010, there was no stopping it — well, there was one little obstacle to clear. The original leaked version featured a sample of Annie Lennox’s 1995 version of “No More I Love You’s,” but after the U.K. singer wouldn’t clear the sample, Pop and Oak had to come up with an alternative. “They didn’t let us clear the sample, so the version that leaked wasn’t the version that got on the radio. We ended up re-creating it,” Oak said. The duo redid the sample a little too well, it seemed. Even after the switch-up, Lennox’s lawyers continued to reach out, thinking Nicki’s new version of “Your Love” still incorporated the sample. “They thought what they were hearing on the radio was still the master,” Oak said. “Annie Lennox thought she was hearing herself, which was fly as hell,” Pop added.
