Meek Mill Squashes Breakup Rumors By Calling Nicki His Girlfriend Onstage The internet has been swarming with rumors of a breakup between Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj for the last two weeks, thanks largely to the strife that’s resulted from Meek’s twitter rant. With Meek coming up short in his rap battle with Drake thus far the rumors have grown louder that Meek and Nicki have called it quits — but the couple, who have fallen back from posting PDA’s all over social media, seem to still be intact. Especially hear Meek tell it: His GIRLFRIEND… Y’all heard him right? Hit the flip for Nick’s tweets. Instagram
Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj, and Chris Brown all had a crazy week, but last week’s mayhem hasn’t stopped them from dropping their collaborative “All Eyes On You”…
Are Meek Mill And Scaffbeezy Going Tit-For-Tat? Rapper Meek Mill has been very open about his disgust for Nicki’s ex SB , even going off about his “twerk” skills in a twitter rant recently, but is Meek trying to go tit-for-tat with the rapper? Safaree seems to be trying to move on with dignity , all the while he’s being subtweeted and ridiculed. The rapper who dated Nicki for a decade before Meek Mill, posted this photo in the early morning to show love and appreciation to his new boo. Just a few hours later Meek Mill Posts this image on Instagram. It wouldn’t be far-fetched to think Meek took at peek at Safaree’s IG account. Do you think Meek is trying to upstage Nicki’s ex?
Earlier today the 2015 MTV VMA nominations were announced, and while there were few surprises (Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran predictably led the pack with the most nods), at least one artist is downright shocked that she didn’t receive more recognition. Nicki Minaj received three nominations including Best Collaboration (“Bang Bang”), Best Hip Hop Video and Best Female Video (“Anaconda”). Even so, Ms. Minaj is pissed that she wasn’t nominated for Best Choreography or Video of the Year, and she’s been going off on Twitter in a rant worthy of Kanye. “U couldn’t go on social media w/o seeing ppl doing the cover art, choreo, outfits for Halloween…an impact like that & no VOTY nomination?” Nicki tweeted. “If I was a different ‘kind’ of artist, Anaconda would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well…When the ‘other’ girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture they get that nomination.” She’s right that the “Anaconda” music video was wildly popular, racking up more than 500 million views on YouTube, but as with the Oscars and other awards, VMA nominations aren’t determined by popularity. Many fans believe that when Nicki references “different” artists and “other girls” she’s implying that she’s a victim of racial discrimination. It’s a hard argument to make when Beyonce, Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar are all nominated for Video of the Year and Bey and Kendrick are nominated again for Best Choreography, but what do we know? Maybe Nicki is on to something and something is foul over at MTV. At this point, all we know for certain is that Miley is hosting and we’re hoping Nicki will perform so that the two of them can engage in a twerk-off that will register on the Richter scale.
