Robin Thicke, Jimmy Fallon & The Roots Perform “Blurred Lines” With Children’s Instruments [VIDEO]

Jimmy Fallon & The Roots joined Robin Thicke in an elementary-school remix of his hit summer jam, “Blurred Lines.” The Late Night collective and the blue-eyed soul crooner performed his hit with children’s instruments, complete with a new verse from Black Thought, and it still knocks. Miley Cyrus [VIDEO] Big Sean just dropped the official (we think) video for his latest single, “Fire.” In the clip, Big Sean joins the ranks of rappers like Juicy J and Jay Z in the new favorite hip hop pastime of gassing America’s favorite twerking white chick: Miley Cyrus. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper doesn’t actually appear in the confusing clip, save for his image on the cover of his forthcoming album, Hall Of Fame. Not only was country singer and fan favorite Keith Urban asked to return, but will.i.am has allegedly been asked to judge for the show as well. Music Rapper Pusha T Last night, Bossip was at Privé nightclub in Atlanta as special invited guests J.Cole and Kelly Rowland popped bottles and partied with their entourages well into the night. We also saw G.O.O.D. Music’s resident dope dealer Pusha T enjoying himself amongst ATL’s celebrity socialite scene. Initially, we thought Pusha’s presence at the club was a random occurrence. Maybe he was in town for a show or was recording music in the A, but after seeing a pic that Kelly posted to her Instagram page around 4am we might have to re-think the “randomness” of the whole situation. We know that Destiny’s Children like “soldiers” with “street credibility” that are known to “carry big things” but WOW. What do you think of Kelendria and Terrence as a couple? That Taylor Swift, she’s good people. Following a concert with Ed Sheeran and Austin Mahone last Friday, the singer and her tour mates stopped for a meal at Ralph’s Italian Restaurant in Philadelphia. Turns out, the head chef of that establishment is a man named Shawn Gallo and he’s a HUGE Taylor Swift fan. “My son has autism, and while I’m at work my mom and my son love to listen to her music,” Gallo told E! News. “He loves her music!” Upon learning this story, Swift shocked Gallo by giving him two tickets to the following evening’s show – and then she left him a $500 tip! “It was so kind-hearted of her,” the chef said after the experience. “My son Shawnee is 11. It was my son and I’s first concert we’ve ever been to! It was really special.” So much for Taylor Swift being Satan , huh?

Lady Gaga to Perform at 2013 MTV Video Music Awards

Lady Gaga is ready to take the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards stage for her first live performance since undergoing hip surgery in February. At the August 25 show, Gaga will be performing her new yet-to-be-named single, which is due out August 19, off her highly anticipated album ARTPOP. Gaga is no stranger to the VMA stage, where she’s appeared in: A gory, murder-simulating rendition of “Paparazzi” in 2009 A meat dress, one of her top fashion moments, in 2010 Drag, as her male alter ego “Jo Calderone” in 2011 What can we expect this year? Lady Gaga nude in an ARTPOP live-action performance art piece? More gender-bending, hermaphrodite rumor madness? Being escorted in by a large animal? Wearing a giant frog suit? Who can say. But THG will be there at the Barclays Center.

Danny Zuko lives! Sort of. In an ad for a Brazilian rum called Ypióca, John Travolta proves that his dance moves may not get better with age… but they remain better than most! The 30-second spots starts with the former Grease and Saturday Night Fever star donning a straw hat and sauntering around on the beach, followed by an attractive woman giving him an exciting hug. With the season finale looming on August 5 (see The Bachelorette spoilers for the latest scoop), Des looks back on a wild summer and looks ahead. Here’s what she writes about her experiences with the Men Tell All special: “I was anxious, nervous and excited,” the brunette blogs. “It was an emotional journey and I have nothing but fond memories … of most of them. “Walking out on that stage brought mixed emotions. Royal Baby Watch: Who Will Be the First to Know?

As the Royal Baby Watch enters its final hours with Kate Middleton in labor , onlookers across the world are wondering how they will know when the child is born. Assuming all goes according to plan with the delivery, Queen Elizabeth II will be the first person to receive word that the royal heir has been born. Unless she’s asleep, in which case no one will find out until she awakes. Pround papa Prince William will call his 87-year-old grandmother on an encrypted phone to let her know that Kate Middleton has given birth, reports say. But if the birth is in the middle of the night, he will not wake her up. Kate has been in labor since early Monday at St. Mary’s Hospital in London. Experts estimate that first-time mothers are generally in labor 12-24 hours. Queen Elizabeth, who returned to Buckingham Palace today from Windsor Castle where she usually spends weekends, says she’s quite anxious for it to arrive . Mostly because it’s exciting stuff, but a little bit because she’s going on her annual vacation next week to her Balmoral estate in Scotland. Naturally. Royal Baby Watch So how will mere mortals find out about the royal baby’s birth? Not from celebrity gossip sites breaking the news. If it happens in the next few hours and it’s still daylight, a royal courier will emerge from the hospital. With a police escort, the courier will head to Buckingham Palace to post a notice of the baby’s gender, size and weight on an easel at the palace front gates. If the birth comes at night, this will wait until morning. Long story short … there is no royal baby news until there’s a baby, at which point the royals themselves will break the news, as the BBC notes above. The entire nation is demanding justice for Trayvon Martin ! Rallies Gather For Trayvon Martin One week after a jury found George Zimmerman not guilty in the shooting death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin, people gathered nationwide Saturday to press for federal civil rights charges against the former neighborhood watch leader , and to call for changes in the nation’s self-defense laws. Via HuffPo reports: The Florida case has become a flashpoint in separate but converging national debates over self-defense, guns, and race relations. Zimmerman, who successfully claimed that he was protecting himself when he shot Martin, identifies himself as Hispanic. Martin was black. For some attendees, particularly those who are black, the rallies seemed as much about those larger issues as about the verdict. “It’s personal,” said Cincinnati resident Chris Donegan, whose 11-year-old son wore a hoodie to the rally, as Martin did the night he died. “Anybody who is black with kids, Trayvon Martin became our son.” Chants rang out across the rallies. “Justice! Justice! Justice! … Now! Now! Now!” “`We won’t forget.” “No justice! No peace!” Many also sang hymns, prayed and held hands. And plenty of participants carried signs: “Who’s next?” “I am Trayvon Martin.” “Enough Is Enough.” Most rallies began at noon. In New York, hundreds of people – including Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, and music superstars Jay-Z and Beyonce – gathered in the heat . Fulton told the crowd she was determined to fight for societal and legal changes needed to ensure that black youths are no longer viewed with suspicion because of their skin color. “I promise you I’m going to work for your children as well,” she told the crowd. At a morning appearance at Sharpton’s headquarters in Harlem, she implored people to understand that the tragedy involved more than Martin alone. “Today it was my son. Tomorrow it might be yours,” she said. In Atlanta, speakers noted that the rally occurred in the shadows of federal buildings named for two figures who had vastly differing views on civil rights and racial equality: Richard B. Russell was a Georgia governor and U.S. senator elected in the Jim Crow South; Martin Luther King Jr. is the face of African-Americans’ civil rights movement. “What’s so frightening about a black man in a hood?” said the Rev. Raphael Warnock, who now occupies the pulpit at King’s Ebenezer Baptist Church. “History would suggest that we have plenty of data to be worried when we see other folk moving through our neighborhoods in hoods. Some of them have on pinstripe suits – but in their hearts, they’re wearing a hood.” In addition to pushing the Justice Department to investigate civil rights charges against Zimmerman, Sharpton told supporters In New York that he wants to see a rollback of “stand your ground” self-defense laws. “We are trying to change laws so that this never, ever happens again,” Sharpton said. “Stand your ground” laws are on the books in more than 20 states, and they go beyond many older, traditional self-defense statutes. In general, the newer laws eliminate a person’s duty to retreat, if possible, in the face of a serious physical threat. Zimmerman didn’t invoke “stand your ground,” relying instead on a traditional self-defense argument, but the judge included a provision of the law in the jurors’ instructions, allowing them to consider it as a legitimate defense.
