Ashton Kutcher And Mila Kunis Spotted On Dinner Date Too bad Demi isn’t gettin’ her groove back like we thought , because her ex boy-toy hubby seems to be doing just fine in the post-divorce cakes department. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are keeping fans guessing about whether they are just friends or something more after being spotted around town together numerous times in the past few months. The pair, who both starred on Fox hit “That ’70s Show,” were seen zooming around Hollywood on Kutcher’s motorcycle earlier this week. And, according to the Daily Mail, Kunis’ car is sometimes spotted outside the actor’s home. Kunis, 28, has directly addressed the rumors since they began to surface this past April. “It’s absurd,” she told Extra of reports that the two were dating. “A friend is a friend.” But People magazine reports that the pair’s insistence that they’re not a couple is merely an attempt to “be discreet.” “They seem to spend every free second together,” a source points out to the magazine. Another source tells Us Weekly, “They’re not exclusive, but they are hanging out and seeing where it’s going.” In addition to motorcycle rides, the pair have also been spotted out shopping for furniture, having one-on-one dinners, and even heading on a three-day road trip together. “They’ve been hot for each other for years,” another source tells Us Weekly. “It stretches back to when they were friends on their show!” Check the gallery for more pics of Mila and Aston ducking the paparazzi on their night out. ‘Newsroom’: Five Reasons To Watch

New HBO series stars Jeff Daniels and is penned by ‘Social Network’ and ‘West Wing’ writer Aaron Sorkin. By Kara Warner Jeff Daniels in “The Newsroom” Photo: HBO is on quite a roll with its Sunday night programming. In the wake of TV series success stories like “The Sopranos,” “True Blood,” “Game of Thrones,” “Veep” and “Girls,” the award-winning cable network has developed and debuted yet another buzzworthy show, “Newsroom.” Why is it buzzworthy? Because it’s written and created by Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy winner Aaron Sorkin and it’s a television show about television, specifically the behind-the-scenes drama involved in the production of a nightly news show. The major characters include a hotheaded and egocentric anchor ( Jeff Daniels ), his strong-willed-yet-soothing executive producer and ex-girlfriend (Emily Mortimer), their jovial and bourbon-loving boss (Sam Waterston), and the idealistic newbie (Alison Pill) who’s dating a senior producer. There’s much to love and hate judging from the mixed reviews from critics, but we’re totally hooked. Here are five things to love about “Newsroom.” Sorkin Speak Aaron Sorkin didn’t win a Best Screenplay Oscar for “The Social Network” or Emmys galore for “The West Wing” for nothing. The man can write the heck out of dialogue. Say what you will about the pretentiousness, preaching and politics involved in an action-packed pilot that calls out America (and the mainstream media) for not being as good as it can be, but Sorkin moves things along at a crackling clip complete with pop-culture references from sources ranging from Twitter to Don Quixote. Going Back to the Future “Newsroom” is set in 2010 and the first episode revolves around the news of the BP oil spill. The show’s unique setting allows Sorkin to write around, and in some ways re-write, history, giving the “News Night” team the fictionalized plotline of being the only major news program to dedicate considerable airtime to early reports. Each episode will deal with fictionalized perspectives on memorable real-life news events and how they were reported. Inside Baseball Sorkin loves his behind-the-scenes-style stories — see his previous shows “Sports Night,” “The West Wing” and “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.” In setting a show around something with which we’re all familiar (TV news, the White House) on a superficial level and then adding a healthy dose of interpersonal drama that everyone goes through at their respective places of work, Sorkin piques interest quite effectively. With “Newsroom,” the majority of the population can relate to watching TV news at some point in their lives, and Sorkin is using that to his advantage to draw in the audience as well as challenge them to think more critically about what they watch. We shouldn’t have to point out that it’s all a highly romanticized version of the real story, but there you have it. Jeff Daniels Although his comedic brilliance in “Dumb and Dumber” will live on forever, Daniels’ equally special skills as a dramatic actor are on full display in playing “News Night” anchor Will McAvoy. He is arrogant and self-obsessed, moody and unpredictable, which might all come off as a bland stereotype were the role in less adept hands than Daniels’. In short, McAvoy isn’t all bark and bite and blowhard. There are finely flawed layers to slowly peel away as we greet new sides of his character in each episode. Sam Waterston (and Other Support Cast) It would be a disservice to lump all of the other castmembers into one brief blurb, so this week’s “Newsroom” MVP award goes to Sam Waterston for bringing wit and lasting charm to the character of OG newsman Charlie Skinner. There’s a lot to like about Skinner since he’s the big bad boss making sure “News Night” continues to exist, in the process not firing the overly opinionated anchor, and re-hiring said anchor’s former flame. He clearly has a backbone, integrity and an eye for talent, even if that eye is frequently blurry from day drinking.

Justin Bieber Goes Home, Recalls His Roots

In ‘All Around the World’ NBC special, Bieber shares, ‘It’s important I never forget where I came from.’ By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber on his “All Around The World” special Photo: Last time on Justin Bieber ‘s primetime special, “All Around the World,” the singer’s camp worried about him after he fell down some stairs following a concussion he suffered running into a glass wall during his performance in Paris. Well, on part two of the NBC special, fans get to see just what happened next. “He’s got a nice little bump. Doctors said he should be OK,” his manager, Scooter Braun, shares. “It just scared me in general when he was nonresponsive. … In that moment, when he was not waking up, that was scary.” While Braun was concerned about the star’s wellbeing, later on, Bieber is shown being mostly concerned about whether you can see the bump he got in the process. After wrapping up his time in Paris, Bieber embarks on more dates in Italy and Spain, where he meets more screaming, crying fans. “The team is definitely like a family. There’s never a dull moment,” Bieber says of his tour crew. “Seeing fans is always the most important to me,” he later says of his devotees. “I wouldn’t be in this position without them. Sometimes it can get really chaotic … but I go out of my way.” In addition to traveling the globe with his tightknit road family, in Spain, Bieber is joined by his little sister and dad. “Just being able to come back at the end of the night and see my little sister, it’s amazing,” he shares. While he has folks like his crew and family to keep him grounded, the pandemonium he causes everywhere he goes never lets up. Mexico City is next on the schedule. “I miss home … but it’s all worth it. I get to do so many other things that I wouldn’t get to experience. It’s been really a blessing,” he says. “I have definitely changed over the last few years, and I think it’s for the good. I think that I’m getting more mature. But as far me as a person, I think I’ll always be the same person.” Later on, Bieber visits his hometown in Canada. While there, he performs on the same street corner where he used to play before he was famous, noting how “weird” it is to do his own song there rather than a cover. “For me, it’s important I never forget where I came from,” he says. His trip around the globe ends in the Big Apple, where he prepares for a number of appearances and shows, including his now-infamous performance at the Apollo Theater , which he finished unplugged after losing power. “I want to go someplace Michael [Jackson] performed,” he says in the lead-up to the performance. Instead of shutting it down, Bieber continued the show with a sing-along and a dance battle, much to the delight of his fans. “My fans, to me, mean the world. I’m very blessed, and I have all my Beliebers to thank for that,” he notes. “I never thought that I would be in the position that I am now. I think that it’s so important that if you have a dream to just believe.” While in New York City, he also appeared on his very own MTV special, “Bieber Live,” where he opened up about his just-released new album, Believe . Adam Levine, Jessica Lange ‘American Horror Story’ Details Revealed

In ‘AHS’ season two, Lange is ‘a bride of Christ,’ writer tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Tami Katzoff Jessica Lange in “American Horror Story” Photo: While there have been scant details regarding the second season of “American Horror Story” floating around since it was announced it would be rebooted in a new time and place with spanking-new characters, what fans have been most clamoring to know about is how season one bad girl Jessica Lange will be re-imagined for the series. “She’s not playing this kind of ersatz Tennessee Williams character this time,” “AHS” writer Tim Minear told MTV News about Lange in season two. “She’s playing something that’s a little more East Coast, a little more patrician.” While she was a bit of a darkly motivated, self-involved floozy in season one, her new backstory seems to paint a different picture for the character. “She’s playing a nun,” he said. “She’s playing an administrator of a facility. It’s different. In this instance, she’s a bride of Christ.” Season one of the FX horror series took place in sunny Los Angeles, which served as the backdrop to Murder House and its disturbed inhabitants, both living and dead. But, season two will take place in the 1960s on the East Coast with a mental institution as the locale for all the creepiness. Lange will call the shots, which is sort of what she did in season one as well, but it seems she’ll be motivated in a whole new set of ways. “We thought it would be cool. I mean, the truth is, when I first met with [creators] Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk about the show, I came in, I read the pilot script, and I’m like, ‘OK guys, this is all very well and good — I don’t know how you make this into a TV show. I don’t know how you sustain this,’ ” Minear recalled. “And Ryan immediately had the answer, and that was, ‘Oh, the way we sustain it is by the end of the season, we have killed off every character.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m in!’ And then you revamp it. Basically, in season two, you have a whole new story, a whole new location, a whole new time frame. You just do something different,” he added. “The reason we’re doing it in the 1960s is because that fits the story that we want to tell.” Given that anything is possible in the “AHS” world, there’s a chance that the infamous Murder House just might make a cameo. “I wouldn’t rule anything out,” Minear shared. Sure, everyone has been salivating over details about Lange and her newly learned good-girl character, but there’s another casting that has everyone intrigued: Maroon 5 leading man Adam Levine has been cast as one of “The Lovers.” “Let’s say that Adam’s character is kind of a nod to contemporary sensibilities, as opposed to something from the mid-century,” Minear noted. Levine joins other returning castmembers Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Lily Rabe as well as Lange. Levine and his bandmates will drop Overexposed on Tuesday. They will sit down with MTV News for an “MTV First” on Monday to discuss the new album, and perhaps Levine will share more details about his “AHS” role. Don’t miss the premiere of Maroon 5’s “One More Night” video during “MTV First: Maroon 5” on Monday, June 25, at 7:53 p.m. on MTV, followed by a 30-minute Q&A with the band on MTV.com. ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’: The Early Reviews Are In!

U.K. critics are divided down the middle on Sony’s ‘Spider-Man’ reboot, starring Andrew Garfield as the friendly neighborhood hero. By Josh Wigler Andrew Garfield in “The Amazing Spider-Man” Photo: Peter Parker swings back into U.S. theaters on July 3 with “The Amazing Spider-Man,” this time played by British up-and-comer Andrew Garfield — and while Stateside critics have stayed hush-hush on their feelings about the “Amazing” reboot for now, our friends across the pond have been more outspoken with their reactions. Several U.K. news outlets including The Guardian and Empire have published their reviews of director Marc Webb’s “Spider-Man” reboot, following the film’s London premiere on Monday. The consensus is not unlike Parker’s own superhero career: rocky at points, healthy at times and flat-out “amazing” in other areas. Keep reading for the good and the bad from the early “Amazing Spider-Man” reviews! Webb & The Web-Spinner “Webb successfully treads a fine line between keeping the hardcore superhero-movie fans happy and injecting a dose of meaningful affect. Parker is generally reckoned to be the most ‘relatable’ figure in the superhero canon, but the pastel-bright synthetics of the earlier movies did little to dispel the sense that the comic-book world could only construct its characters out of clunking great blocks of melodrama. In re-engineering Parker into the introspective, uncertain male more typical of his previous film, Webb is aided by a terrific performance from Andrew Garfield, who brings a genial unflappability that allows him to negotiate the often-ludicrous demands of the superhero plotline. At the same time, Webb also shows an unarguable facility for the more traditional action elements of the story, and the 3D certainly helps: he pulls off some properly nauseating shots as Parker dives off skyscrapers, rescues kids from falling, and the like.” — Andrew Pulver, The Guardian Toning It Down “The shadow of ‘Batman Begins’ looms as ‘Amazing’ opens, the gold standard of origin-skewed reboots riskily invoked. Parker as a child plays games at home, stumbles on some destiny-sealing revelations, loses his parents on a stormy night… A dark roots movie steeped in tragedy? Some ‘untold story,’ that. Webb finds much surer footing as Parker hits high school, helped by crack casting. More confident than the last, this Parker is slick on a skateboard and not shy about standing up to Flash Thompson. The geek just got chic: who better to play him than the guy with the algorithms and rhythm from ‘The Social Network’? A young buck made testy by grief, a rebel without a comb, Garfield nails all bases here, star DNA aglow. Stare-y eyes melting, he’s winningly earnest; lithe of physique, he delivers in the dust-ups; blithely gatecrashing Gwen Stacy’s bedroom, he gives good dreamboat.” — Total Film Love For The Ladies “Then there’s his needle-sharp young girlfriend, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), who wants to get under his skin even more than that radioactive arachnid did; find out what it is that makes his Spidey-senses tingle. Amid all of the soul-searching and lip-biting, it suddenly struck me: Webb has created the first superhero movie aimed primarily at women. Ever since ‘Twilight’ tipped off Hollywood to the spending power of girls and their mothers, a range of increasingly expensive films aimed at that audience has materialised. Perhaps it was only a matter of time before a superhero suited up with them in mind, although it remains to be seen how die-hard Spider-fans will react to their hero courting a different — some would say rival — demographic.” — Robbie Collin, The Telegraph The Negative Spin “Director Marc Webb aims for a new realism, stripping away the brio of Sam Raimi’s 2002 version with Tobey Maguire. He also dispenses with much of the character and sass that always made this character fun. It’s not Garfield’s fault: he is a convincingly troubled, inarticulate Peter Parker, a springily athletic Spider-Man, and has awesome hair. His greatest enemy is the script. That, and the rather wearisome 3D.” — Nick Curtis, The London Evening Standard The Final Word “Graced with great performances from Garfield and Stone, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ is a rare comic-book flick that is better at examining relationships than superheroism. If it doesn’t approach the current benchmark of ‘Avengers Assemble,’ it still delivers a different enough, enjoyable origin story to live comfortably alongside the Raimi era.” –Ian Freer, Empire What do you think of the early “Spider-Man” reviews? Rihanna To Sit Down With Oprah On ‘Next Chapter’

Singer will appear on the show in August, Winfrey announces on Twitter. By Jocelyn Vena Rihanna Photo: Oprah Winfrey is following up her sit-down with the Kardashians and 50 Cent with another pop-culture superstar interview. The talk show maven took to her Twitter on Monday (June 18) to confirm that Rihanna would appear on an upcoming episode of her OWN talk show, “Oprah’s Next Chapter.” Oprah didn’t have an exact date for the interview, but did note that it would all go down in August. A rep for OWN hadn’t responded to MTV News’ request for further information at press time. Rihanna appeared on Winfrey’s talk show back in January 2010 , where she performed Bob Marley’s classic “Redemption Song” to benefit the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Oprah also dedicated an entire episode of her talk show to the issue of domestic violence one year before in March 2009 . The episode was in part inspired by the 2009 assault of Rihanna by then-boyfriend Chris Brown. While Ri didn’t appear on the episode, Winfrey did have a message for young women who find themselves in abusive relationships. “If you go back with a man who hits you, it’s because you don’t think you’re worthy of being with a man who won’t,” Winfrey said during the episode. “I’ve said before, ‘Love doesn’t hurt, and if a man hits you once, he will hit you again.’ ” Given all the headlines that Rihanna has found herself in recently, including reconnecting with Brown on several tracks earlier this year and having her name tossed around as one of the reasons why Drake and Breezy got into a fight last week in New York City, the singer and the talk-show host should have some interesting talking points. In addition to her newly announced interview with Winfrey, Rihanna also made headlines on Monday thanks to her brand-new tattoo. Over the weekend, she tweeted out a photo of her new ankle tattoo. The tat is that of a falcon shaped somewhat like a handgun. “Falcon: a light that shines in the darkness! Never close their eyes during sleep,” she tweeted on Saturday. It joins her many, many tattoos, several of which are actually gun images . What questions do you hope Oprah asks Rihanna? Leave your comment below!
