After church, the first family spent a few hours at the rental home, and then the president and Michelle Obama went back to the base to meet hundreds of service members and their families, repeating a tradition Obama has followed since 2008. Read: Obama’s Favorite Late Night Joint The Obamas joined the service members for Christmas lunch, which included roast beef, salad and apple pie. A highlight of the president’s visit was an eight-month-old son of a service man, who got closer to Obama than everyone else. He grabbed Obama’s face and then stuck his fingers in the president’s mouth. Mother Monster herself played Santa to all her fans when she presented them with an unreleased song at midnight on Christmas Day. “Been racking my brain on what to get Little Monsters for Christmas!! I finally figured it out!!” Gaga tweeted on December 22. “On Christmas Day I will leak to you an unreleased Song off Born This Way! It was recorded live, in one take, on the tour bus. Uncensored.” “Stuck on F***in You,” which was recorded on the road in Minnesota during her Monster Ball tour, captures the feeling of a late-night jam session, where Gaga’s voice soars over just a guitar and drum machine. It’s a stripped down, bluesy joint that showcases her humor and flair for improvisation. “We were all wasted on the bus making records,” Gaga tweeted Saturday (December 24) night, “It’s such a timecapsule of the spirit of our creativity. I wrote, sang and freestyled the last minute + half of the song.” Gaga is spending at least part of her holidays abroad. “Well, I’ll be in Japan right up until Christmas Day,” Gaga told MTV News earlier this month. “So I’ll be eating with all my Japanese Little Monsters. I like shabu shabu [a form of Japanese hot pot].” Lady Gaga, who was MTV News’ Top Newsmaker of 2011 , will be ringing in the new year in her hometown of New York. My name is Valery and I’m 16. My dream came true on October 19th. I was the last OLLG of the My World Tour. Everything started when I was checking the dates of My World Tour and I saw my country (Venezuela, Latin America) in that list, I was extremely excited for the concert! First I bought my ticket but I was really sad and disappointed because I bought a ticket with a horrible view but was still excited. That week I saw on Twitter that a fan club was selling tickets for the concert with a better view, I sold my old ticket and I told my mom. She said that I wasn’t going because we didn’t know if that ticket was a real one or a fake one and I know she was right. Those days were the worst for me, I cried so much. The day of the concert I was so excited, my best friends and I traveled to Caracas (I live in another city named Valencia), we arrived and I couldn’t believe it. I was so thankful for being there. The concert started and I was freaking out! When I saw Justin for the first time I couldn’t believe it, he is so sexy and beautiful I couldn’t believe that I was seeing my inspiration, singing my favorite song ‘Never Let You Go’. I was crying and I saw a blond girl (the translator of the tour) with a tall man. I smiled at her while I was crying, I didn’t even know her. Then she comes to me and asks, “Do you wanna be the OLLG?” and I said “YEAHHH”. I wanted to jump, scream, cry. I didn’t know what to do or what to think, I was shaking so hard. Backstage I met Alfredo, I hugged him I met Scooter, Carin, Kenny and all the crew. I hugged them all and talked with Scooter, he’s so awesome! Carin took my hand and I walked onto the stage and I sat in that famous chair. Omg it was like a dream and when Justin gave me the flowers and touched my face and hugged me, he showed me how much I worth am worth. ONE BOY, ONE SONG, ONE NIGHT- CHANGED MY ENTIRE LIFE! We look back at videos that got the ‘Twilight’ treatment in this week’s ‘Twilight’ Tuesday. By Kara Warner Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I” Photo: Summit Entertainment In the spirit of the season of giving and spreading holiday cheer, this week’s “Twilight” Tuesday is all about the gifts we’ve received via several higher-profile “Twilight” parodies that were prevalent in pop culture this year. With four films having been unleashed upon the masses to date, there is more than enough material to work with, and you know what they say about imitation: It’s the highest form of flattery. Without further ado, here are the best videos that got the “Twilight” treatment in 2011, plus a couple old-school standouts that are always worth revisiting. Auto-Tuned at the Oscars The Academy wasn’t subtle about trying to lure younger viewers for the 83rd annual Oscars telecast when they signed on co-hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway, and that was even more apparent when a musical mash-up was introduced that featured short Auto-Tuned videos from the year’s most popular films. The “Twilight” moment arrived toward the end of the video in a little ditty titled “He Doesn’t Own a Shirt,” which featured that infamous scene in “Eclipse” wherein Edward scoffs at Jacob’s impossibly toned abs and asks Bella why the werewolf never wears shirts. Nickelodeon’s Fred Figglehorn Does “Twilight” Speaking of shirtlessness, in Nickelodeon’s “Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred,” Internet celeb Fred Figglehorn showed off his own set of impressive abs in a kooky Jacob vs. Volturi-type scene . In this setup, Fred/Jacob has a squeaky high-pitched voice and instead of turning into a wolf, he morphs into a Pomeranian. “Breaking Prawn” With the Muppets We can all agree that the marketing campaign for “The Muppets” was brilliant. After taking on the likes of “Green Lantern” and “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” via parody trailers, our favorite fuzzy friends spoofed “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” with their “Breaking Prawn” clip and three equally clever posters advertising “The Muppet Saga” that featured Kermit as “Vamphibian,” Miss Piggy as “Bella Swine” and Rowlf as “WereRowlf.” Bonus #1: Jimmy Kimmel’s “Friggin’ Twilight” Yes, this video arrived in 2010, but because it stars our very own colorful characters from “Jersey Shore,” it’s too good not to mention here. This little gem first aired during Kimmel’s talk show and featured Snooki as Bella, The Situation as Edward, JWoww as Alice, Vinnie as Tyler Crowley, Pauly D as Jacob, Ronnie and Sammy as Cullens/Volturi, and a cameo by “Shore” cast-off Angelina as evil Victoria. Most ridiculous moments involve The Sitch’s sparkling abs and Pauly D’s stringy werewolf facial hair. Bonus #2: “SNL” Digital Short “Firelight” Leave it to the kings of pop culture mockery at “Saturday Night Live” and pop star princess Taylor Swift to create a killer “Twilight” parody. In the 2009 Digital Short “Firelight,” guest host Swift did a spot-on Kristen Stewart impression, complete with repeated lip biting and multiple hair-behind-the-ear moves, all while quoting actual lines from “Twilight.” However, in this case the Edward character is not a vampire, he’s the big, green, clumsy, strangle-happy monster Frankenstein. Police have so far been unable to identify gunman in Friday shooting in Atlanta. By Rob Markman Slim Dunkin and Waka Flocka Photo: MTV News Waka Flocka Flame is taking the Friday shooting death of his friend and rap cohort Slim Dunkin very hard. “WISH IT WAS ME … MY F—ING RIGHT HAND IS GONE,” Flocka tweeted the day after the murder. The “O Let’s Do It” MC continued to vent over Twitter, writing , “damn I feel dead” and “IM LOST” in reaction to the tragic news. Dunkin, who was born Mario Hamilton, was fatally shot once in the chest after an altercation with another man inside an Atlanta recording studio. Slim was an up-and-coming rapper in Waka’s Brick Squad Monopoly crew and had collaborated heavily with both Flocka and BSM-affiliate Gucci Mane. Atlanta police have interviewed a number of witnesses who were on or around the scene at the time of the shooting, but police have been unable to identify the gunman. “Right now we’re just trying to … identify who may have seen what, really just trying to put the pieces together,” Atlanta Police Major Keith Meadows told The Associated Press. “It seems everybody witnessed something very different. We’re just trying to go back and make sense of everything.” Despite their musical beef, rival rapper Kebo Gotti explained that he was in no way involved in the murder of his onetime friend. “I just don’t know what to say rite now,” Kebo said in a statement issued to MTV News. “What can u say u know when people are pointing the finger at you saying you killed someone you cared about just [because] you just had a fight, what can you say, what are you supposed to say about something like that. He was my brother.” Kebo, who was an original member of Brick Squad, split from the crew and has been involved in a beef with both Dunkin and Waka for some time now. The drama has even gotten physical. In an edited viral video that surfaced on World Star Hip-Hop in October, Gotti spews numerous insults at Flocka and is seen having a street fight with Dunkin. On Halloween, Slim released Menace II Society, a 20-track mixtape featuring Gucci Mane, Roscoe Dash and Pastor Troy. Rest in peace, Slim Dunkin. Leave your condolences in the comments below.
