Tears. Lots of tears. That’s what happens when things spiral out of control between Jill and Ramona . It’s the aftermath of their battle as The Real Housewives of New York City continue their Moroccan adventure. THG’s +/- recap breaks it down: “That will be a day rotting in hell before I kiss that woman’s ass.” Jill cries. Jill’s upset but then Luann jumps in saying she won’t let that happen. Then she storms off to find Ramona. Minus 7 for taking sides without having been in the room. Alex describes Luann as acting as though she were watching the Christians being fed to the lions and although I was taken aback by the description, I can’t disagree with it. Luann reacts with a strange combination of judgement, condescension, and glee.

‘Twilight’ experts point out inconsistencies and omissions in the MTV Movie Awards-debuted sneak peek. By Eric Ditzian Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Breaking Dawn” Photo: Summit Entertainment On Sunday morning, a few hours before the 2011 MTV Movie Awards went live and while the red carpet at the Gibson Amphitheatre was still a hive of pre-show activity, we welcomed three “Twilight” experts into the fray with a simple assignment: Take an early look at the “Breaking Dawn” teaser trailer, which we would be debuting during the Movie Awards, and let us know what you think. They more than came through. Kara Hassell of TwilightersAnonymous.com , Laura Byrne-Cristiano of TwilightLexicon.com and Kallie Matthews from TwilightSeriesTheories.com analyzed the trailer like only die-hard “Twilight” specialists can. But there was too much info to pack into one story . And now that a few days have passed since the trailer’s debut and the bloggers’ opinions are still fresh in our minds, we have a few lingering questions we want answered in the future. Two Wedding Rings? Early in the trailer, we see Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan wearing a large diamond-incrusted ring — a family heirloom, as explained in the book. But as Matthews pointed out, when Bella notices she is pregnant in the trailer, she is wearing a simple silver band. What gives? Will the two-ring situation be explained? Matthews thinks she knows the answer already. “I’m thinking it’s one of those things where the one ring really is an heirloom,” she told us. “You put it away and wear it on special occasions.” Too Hot for PG-13? Last summer, Summit Entertainment distribution chief Richie Fay assured us that, despite the book’s sex scenes and horror-like elements, the adaptation would not be rated R . That hasn’t stopped online talk, as Byrne-Cristiano put it, that “we’ve got to make this R.” Well, now that we’ve seen the first trailer, it seems regardless of the PG-13 rating, the flick is going to be pretty steamy. Just how hot? Though we’ve gotten a peek — Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen cracking a headboard mid-coitus and the duo taking a honeymoon skinny dip — the real question about the heat factor will have to wait until we glimpse a different scene: the famous one with the feathers . “There are no feathers on the bed,” she noted. “That’s a well-known point that everyone wants. So in that trailer, there are three moments, and there’s got to be another one.” What Else Has Changed? The eagle-eyed Hassell noted two small but significant changes from “New Moon” to “Breaking Dawn.” For one, Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays the blond vampire Caius, seems to have a reworked ‘do . “His hair is A-plus!” she said. “A lot better than ‘New Moon.’ ” And Hassell also noted the Volturi’s thrones appear to have gotten a makeover. “It seems like the ones in ‘New Moon’ are more intricate,” she said. “The ones in ‘Breaking Dawn’ are very square and not as ornate.” It’s hard to say what accounts for such changes; the same production designer, for example, worked on both films. But it does raise the question: What else has changed in the world of “Twilight” for these final films? Will We See The Wedding Dress Before Opening Night? While the trailer showed us much more than many predicted — a shirtless Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, Bella quizzically examining her pregnant belly — there was one thing we didn’t catch a glimpse of: Bella’s wedding dress. Might we see the gown in a subsequent trailer? Or will Summit hold that back until the film itself? “I’m hoping beyond hope that we get the wedding dress in the next trailer. I’m not holding my breath. I think we’ll have to wait,” said Hassel, adding, “I hope it’s something classic that fits in with [author] Stephenie Meyer’s vision. But Kristen’s gorgeous. She’ll look great in anything.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .
For a show that’s branded itself as the anti-American Idol, The Voice sure felt like American Idol last night, with eight finalists singing solo for votes. There was even a girl from American Idol closing out the night! Eight of the 16 finalists performed Tuesday, with the rest on tap next week. While the show has lost considerable steam since its premiere, due largely to its complicated format, these performances were strong. Let’s break them down! Raquel Castro – Blow (The Voice) Raquel Castro performed Ke$ha “Blow,” a song notable mostly for its beat and its video, as Ke$ha cannot actually sing, channeling mentor Christina. Mama Aguilera, along with the rest of the panel, loved it. America should do, especially coming from the youngest and smallest Voice cast member. Jared Blake – Use Somebody (The Voice) Jared Blake went with “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon, a fitting choice, even if Blake said that Jared struggled with being either country or rock. The guitar tossing and strutting took care of that debate: “You’ve shaved your head, you’ll never get through a metal detector – you’re a rock guy.” Beverly McClellan – I’m The Only One (The Voice) Beverly McClellan sang Melissa Ethridge’s “I’m the Only One,” with enthusiasm and energy that you couldn’t help but embrace. Especially for Adam. He lamented letting her get away in the previous round, after which Christina bragged, after which s-bombs were dropped. Pretty standard fare: Dia Frampton – Heartless (The Voice) Dia Frampton’s acoustic interpretation of Kanye West’s “Heartless” got a lot of praise for being original (Kris Allen and The Fray may beg to differ). Still, that’s not her fault, as she let loose like never before for her, and Cee Lo promised to tell Kanye PERSONALLY about it. That’s high praise! Xenia – Price Tag (The Voice) One-named Xenia took on “Price Tag” but looked uncomfortable up there. If there was a performance that wasn’t up to par, this may have been it. Will she stick around after this? It would be something of an upset, as she was almost hard to watch at times (we feel bad saying it, but it’s true). Lily Elise – Big Girls Don’t Cry (The Voice) Lily Elise sang Fergie, and despite the fact that “Big Girls Don’t Cry” is a somber, poignant track, the backup dancers may have stolen the show. Seriously, you gotta check out the dancing mannequins. They don’t really fit the format of the show, but they sure made this a lot more fun! Patrick Thomas – I Hope You Dance (The Voice) Patrick Thomas took the stage with Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance” and did his best to channel his inner Scotty McCreery up on stage. His performance was technically sound and but very safe. Sound familiar? Hey, it worked pretty well for McCreery a couple of weeks ago … Frenchie Davis – When Love Takes Over (The Voice) Frenchie Davis ended the night with David Guetta’s “When Love Takes Over,” and managed to show off her range without trying too, too hard. She’s the most powerful singer in the competition, according to Blake, and he’s probably not the only one. She was pretty terrific out there. Thoughts? Who was the best on The Voice? Who are you most looking forward to seeing on next week’s show? Discuss!
‘There’s a lot of joking and having a good time,’ he tells MTV News of vibe on set. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Eric Ditzian Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images The cast of “The Twilight Saga” might have won all their MTV Movie Awards for “Eclipse,” but the real focus was on the trailer for “Breaking Dawn.” Because the hype is so strong for the fourth installment of “The Twilight Saga,” newcomer Noel Fisher was invited to attend his first MTV Movie Awards. Fisher, who plays Vladimir in “Breaking Dawn,” described the experience as “way next level.” Fisher won’t hit the big screen until “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” comes out in 2012, and he was completely unwilling to share any plot tidbits when MTV News caught up with him on the red carpet. “Can’t tell you about that yet! I’m in the second movie, I can tell you that. But other than that, can’t tell you too much about the actual script or what happens in it,” he said with a laugh. SEE PICS OF THE “TWILIGHT” CAST’S BIG MOVIE AWARDS NIGHT. Since it was his first Movie Awards and the rest of the “Twilight” cast’s third, MTV asked if any of his co-stars gave him some words of advice for walking the red carpet. “The biggest piece of advice I found was just be yourself,” he said. “The really nice thing about it is that everyone is so friendly, so just kind of relax and be yourself and get to meet people.” Fisher said he had a similarly good experience on the set of “Breaking Dawn,” where everyone welcomed him in as part of the “Twilight” family. The vibe on set was “really fun,” he said, especially since Vladimir comes into the story at a point when many other new characters join up with the Cullens as well. “One of the best parts about doing this for me was everyone was really friendly. They have such a nice camaraderie and such a nice repartee back and forth. You can see it onscreen, [and] it’s very much offscreen [too]. There’s a lot of joking and having a good time,” he said. “They’re all very professional and they can do that, and then they can turn in and be in what they need to be in. It was really nice.” Another exciting part of coming to the Movie Awards for Fisher was the chance to see the exclusive “Breaking Dawn” trailer. Unfortunately someone leaked the sneak peek before the Movie Awards started, but Fisher said he held off on watching the video so he could see it at the show. He said he was a bit upset about the fact that it had been leaked ahead of time and the fact that “Twilight” exclusives have been leaked in the past. “There’s a lot of excitement about the movie and people want to see it really badly, but I think that the point of it, you kind of have to hold on to it and just let it come. It’s more satisfying,” Fisher said. MTV News has all of the highlights from the 2011 MTV Movie Awards . Patrick Carney earned the wrath of Little Monsters by comparing Gaga to Madonna on Twitter. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney is a man who seems to grasp the power and purpose of Twitter — namely, using it to mess with Bravo TV star Bethenny Frankel and profess his love for condiments . So it was probably a bit of a shock when, after writing a seemingly innocuous tweet about Lady Gaga, he bore the full brunt of her (very angry) Little Monsters. It all started last month, when Carney sized up Gaga’s “Saturday Night Live” performance by writing , simply, “Madonna is killing it!” The comment went largely unnoticed by Gaga’s fans, and Carney returned to important things like tweeting with Ke$ha about shrimp. But then, he dared to compare Gaga to Madonna once again, and, to borrow a phrase from Calvin Tran , “Oh, here go hell come.” Gaga’s fans picked up on the tweet, and soon began inundating Carney’s Twitter account with a steady torrent of vicious hate that quickly escalated to a full-on downpour of acrimony. So, he did what any self-respecting Twitter-head would do: retweeted the best of the worst. In fact, all day Monday (June 6), Carney’s Twitter account was nothing but a stream of profanity-laced, poorly-punctuated vitriol from Little Monsters, who called him “an ugly ass bitch,” compared him to “the kid in the wheelchair on ‘Glee’ ” and even threatened him with bodily harm. For his part, Carney helped stoke the flames by pointing out that Gaga’s anti-bullying message didn’t really seem to be translating to her fans. “Hey, little monsters! Everyone knows lady gaga sounds nothing at all like Madonna. I was joking! I am so depressed,” he wrote , adding that he was heading to Red Lobster. The tweets don’t seem to be losing steam too quickly. As of Tuesday morning (June 7), Carney was still RT’ing some of the zestier messages he’d received from Gaga fans, and he summed up the whole experience by complaining that @Bethenny had replied to one of his brother’s tweets, but not his (link), proving that, much like life, the Twitter-verse is, in fact, cyclical. ‘Harry Potter’ star tells MTV News that all the Movie Awards smooching had her feeling left out. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Emma Watson at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday Photo: Steve Granitz/Getty Images Aside from the much-anticipated premiere of a new “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” clip during Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards, it was a pretty quiet night for Team Potter, who sat and watched as “Twilight” reaped (nearly) all the awards , besting “Deathly Hollows, Part 1” for Best Movie, Best Male and Female Performance, Best Fight Scene and Best Kiss. In fact, “Potter” took home just one bucket of Golden Popcorn — Tom Felton’s turn as Draco Malfoy earned him Best Villain honors — and as if that weren’t bad enough, it was the stars of “Twilight” who garnered the lion’s share of the headlines too, as everything from Robert Pattinson’s lip-lock with co-star Taylor Lautner to the squeeing reactions to the “Breaking Dawn, Part 1” trailer burned up search engines in the hours following the show. So you could imagine what it must have been like for the “Harry Potter” stars who were actually on hand for the Movie Awards — like, for example, Emma Watson, who not only lost Best Female Performance to Kristen Stewart, but didn’t even get to see the kiss between Pattinson and Lautner. “I missed this moment! I came out, and they were like, ‘Rob just missed Taylor!’ and I was like, ‘Damn!’ ” Watson told MTV News’ Josh Horowitz following the show. “I was still backstage [after introducing the ‘Deathly Hallows, Part 2’] clip, so I missed it. But, I mean, yeah, good on them!” And as if missing out on the kiss-to-end-all-kisses wasn’t bad enough, the whole lip-locking theme of the night had Watson feeling left out. Seems she was the only person who didn’t have someone to kiss. “I mean, I was really up against it. Kristen [Stewart] had two kisses, and Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman making out,” she laughed. “I mean, I couldn’t really compete!” MTV News has all of the highlights from the 2011 MTV Movie Awards .
