Angelina Jolie Considers Kids, Marriage, Movies and More

Perhaps sick of concocted cover stories in which she played no role – did you hear Brangelina is over ?!? And Brad and Jen are sneaking around ?!? – Angelina Jolie sits down with the latest issue of Vanity Fair and opens up about a number of life issues. Among them: the possibility of more children; an eventual marriage to Brad Pitt; and whether there will be a Mr. & Mrs. Smith sequel. Excerpts are below… Will she have more kids? “We’re not opposed to it. But we want to make sure we can give everybody special time. They’re kids now, and can play together, but they’re going to need a lot more talking in the middle of the night, like I did with my mom for hours. We want to make sure we don’t build a family so big that we don’t have absolutely enough time to raise them each really well.” Will she and Pitt ever get married? “it’s just like we already are. Children are clearly a commitment, a bigger commitment [than marriage]. It’s for life.” Will she quit acting? “I’m very, very grateful, it’s a fun job. It’s a luxury… But I don’t think I’ll do it much longer. Because I have a happy home… I got back from work last night, and everybody was playing music and dancing and I suddenly found myself dancing around with a bunch of little fun crazy people.” Will she and Pitt ever co-star in another movie? “I’d love to. We’ve talked about it. We’d have to figure out who’s going to watch the kids, but it’s really about finding the right thing, because we’ve looked. When you’re a couple, there are certain things people don’t want to see you do. It becomes too indulgent, too personal. “I don’t think people want to see people who are really together intimate on-screen. Maybe we have to play bad guys that try to kill each other, so it’s just fun and aggressive, not dealing with some man-woman deal.” This issue goes on sale nationwide on July 6. In the meantime, let’s talk more about how awesome Angelina Jolie is!

Lil Wayne Personally Thanks Nearly 100 Fans On Blog

Incarcerated Young Money boss expresses gratitude to followers for their thoughts, gifts, prayers on WeezyThanxYou.com. By Jayson Rodriguez Lil Wayne Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage Lil Wayne posted the third letter to his fans on his website, WeezyThanxYou.com on Monday (June 28). The post follows Weezy’s Mother’s Day letter written last month and and initial note in April written when he first launched the site from prison to communicate with fans. In the new message, Wayne writes that he hopes his fans are enjoying their summer and profusely thanked everyone for their support, from the pictures he’s received to all the letters sent to him at the Eric M. Taylor detention center at New York’s Rikers Island. The rapper only gave a short update about his life behind bars, saying he was doing well. “On my end, I’m alive, breathing and blessed,” Wayne wrote. “You already know how I’m passing time — reading and working out.” The Young Money boss also gave a shout-out to his artists and said the collective had made him proud the night before, as both Drake and Nicki Minaj scored hardware Sunday night at the 2010 BET Awards . Wayne then went on to personally thank nearly 100 supporters who’ve written him letters of encouragement, responding to individuals, including Karla Moy, who runs Drake’s official fan website and Vanessa Satten, the editor of XXL magazine. “First, I thank you for your thoughts and prayers,” he wrote to followers Ashley and Lil Mackenzie. “I would also like you to know that your letter touched my heart. I wasn’t able to keep the wristbands but thank you anyway. Gudda and I send our deepest love to you and Lil Mack.” “Cool middle name,” Wayne told Kyle Rockin McLaughlin. “And I’ll be in W. Palm one day. Hope you’re there.” The rapper is almost halfway through his prison term and appears to be ready to get back to his career, as he told Satten he hopes to grace the cover of the magazine again soon; earlier this month the Cash Money Records superstar recorded a verse from prison for a remix of Drake’s “Light Up.” “Thank you for the love and I can’t wait to be on the cover again,” Wayne wrote. El DeBarge Returns At BET Awards, Prepares New Album

Singer wows crowd with a medley of his and his family group’s biggest hits. By MTV News staff El DeBarge performs at the BET Awards on Sunday Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage Sunday night’s 2010 BET Awards had no shortage of surprising, thrilling and emotional moments. There was Chris Brown’s stirring tribute to Michael Jackson (which saw the embattled singer deftly pull off some of the late Jackson’s most classic dance moves before his vocal performance was undone by tears), an incredible salute to Prince (featuring the likes of Alicia Keys, Patti LaBelle and Janelle Monae) and a savage performances both Eminem (with B.o.B) and Drake . But perhaps the most pleasantly surprising moment of the evening came when El DeBarge graced the stage for a run through some of his biggest hits. The R&B legend — whose signature falsetto buoyed such smashes as “Who’s Johnny” and “Stop! Don’t Tease Me” — returned to the public eye after a long absence to tear through a medley of massive tunes from his back catalog (mostly with his family band DeBarge). His mini-concert included “All This Love” (one of the group’s earliest hits, later sampled on Da Brat’s “Ghetto Love”), “Time Will Reveal” (another big hit later covered by the likes of Blackstreet, Boyz II Men and Janelle Monae) and the classic “Rhythm of the Night,” which was not only a giant hit for the group (it peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the R&B chart) but was also the first big smash for legendary songwriter Diane Warren (also responsible for such hits as Toni Braxton’s “Un-Break My Heart” and Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing”). 2010 could end up being the year of El DeBarge, as the singer is set to release his first album of new material since 1994 this fall with the aptly-titled Second Chance. In the interim, he has clearly made an impact on the hip-hop community, as has collaborated with the likes of DJ Quik and the RZA on various projects while getting his comeback together. Chris Brown’s BET Performance Joins List Of Greatest Pop-Culture Crying Fits

Halle Berry, Kelly Clarkson, Justin Timberlake and more have had their moments. By Kyle Anderson Chris Brown performs at the 2010 BET awards on Sunday Photo: Frederick M. Brown/ Getty Images Despite the triumphant TV returns of Kanye West , T.I. and El DeBarge at Sunday night’s 2010 BET Awards , the big headline from the show was Chris Brown ‘s moving tribute to late superstar Michael Jackson . Brown flawlessly executed all of Jackson’s most classic dance moves (including a scorching moonwalk), but when it came time to lend his voice to Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror,” Brown broke down in tears and could not sing, apparently overwhelmed by the emotion of the situation. Crying in public is hardly a new phenomenon in the world of popular culture. Brown joins the list of some of the biggest stars in the world who have also broken down on television. Halle Berry When Berry won the Oscar for Best Actress at the 74th Annual Academy Awards in 2002 (for her work in “Monster’s Ball”), she became the first African-American woman to take home the prize. That, combined with the overwhelming experience that was making the emotionally-charged “Monster’s Ball” and the huge standing ovation she received, threw Berry into hysterics during her acceptance speech. “This moment is so much bigger than me,” she said. Kelly Clarkson When Kelly Clarkson won the very first season of “American Idol,” she was initially in a state of shock. Unable to express how she was feeling to the television audience who voted her the victor over Justin Guarini, she moved on to her performance of “A Moment Like This.” When she hit the lyric, “I can’t believe it’s happening to me,” she finally broke. She managed to get through the song, but to continuously apologized for her emotion. Justin Timberlake Ashton Kutcher’s hit MTV show “Punked” certainly pushed a lot of his famous friends to the brink, but few had a reaction like Timberlake. When Kutcher’s crew of actors pretended to be federal officers seizing most of his possessions for failure to pay back taxes, Timberlake flipped out and wept. Usually, Kutcher’s reveal at the end of the episode throws the celebrity in question into laughing jags or fits of anger, but Timberlake was clearly just filled with relief. Tonya Harding Athletes cry all the time, but it’s usually because of the overwhelming thrill of victory or the agony of bitter defeat. Rarely do they weep during a particular competition, but that’s exactly what Harding did at the 1994 Winter Olympics. After dealing with her connection to the attack on fellow skater Nancy Kerrigan in the run-up to the games, Harding took the ice only to realize that a lace on one of her skates had broken. In between sobs, she pleaded with the judges to allow her to get new laces and start over. They allowed it, though Harding still only finished eighth. Crystal Bowersox The season nine “American Idol” runner-up had an extremely emotional run to the finals (including a harrowing health scare), but it took merely the presence of her father and a particularly heartfelt song to push her to tears. Bowersox slipped a handful of sobs into her performance of Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions’ “People Get Ready” during Inspirational Week on the show. It was one of the many performances that put Bowersox in the discussion of the best “Idol” contestants of all time . Tracy Morgan The always unpredictable star of “Saturday Night Live” and “30 Rock” has had a tough life and a challenging career, but the mere mention of co-star Tina Fey sent Morgan on the crying train when he visited with Oprah Winfrey on an episode of her show back in April. “She’s my friend. Tina is my friend. I love her,” he told Winfrey as he was fighting back tears. “Crying Girl” There are an awful lot of “American Idol” moments on this list, aren’t there? Ashley Ferl gained notoriety during the show’s sixth season not as a contestant but as a particularly emotional audience member. The 13-year-old Ferl was so taken with “Idol” contestant Sanjaya Malakar’s take on the Kinks’ “You Really Got Me” that she sobbed uncontrollably, earning herself a great deal of screen time and the privilege of becoming an Internet meme for a while. Did we miss any? What is the best incident of celebrity crying? And what did you think of Brown’s performance? Let us know in the comments! Report: Landon Donovan Knocked Up British Chick

U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan may be facing a crisis much bigger than his team’s elimination from the World Cup this past weekend – a forthcoming love child. A newspaper in the UK will allege that a British woman is pregnant by Donovan, who is separated from his wife, actress Bianca Kajlich, but not divorced from her. His relationship with Kajlich became the subject of great interest last week after they shared an emotional phone call following his winning goal against Algeria. Donovan, who played for the Liverpool football club Everton this winter, blew her a kiss during an interview, fueling speculation that the couple might reconcile. “It would surprise no one if Landon and Bianca were back together very soon,” said one of her friends. “They have remained in contact and are very close.” Landon Donovan is separated from wife Bianca Kajlich. The fact that he may have fathered a love child with someone else may not aid his bid to reconcile with her . The identity of Donovan’s baby mama is unclear at this time, as is how Bianca will feel about his attempts to win her back if this love child rumor proves to be legit. Regarding the pregnancy rumor, Donovan did not deny it might be true, telling Sports Illustrated’s Web site: “I was informed of the possibility during the World Cup.” “If I need to take responsibility, then I will provide the appropriate support,” he added. “This is a private matter, and I will refrain from further comment at this time.” Donovan has spent most of his career in the U.S., but played on loan in Liverpool earlier this year, becoming a fan favorite – apparently with one woman in particular. He was a hero for the USA at the World Cup, scoring three goals and guiding the team to the knockout phase, where they were eliminated on Saturday by Ghana.

BET Awards Fashion Face-Off: Fergie vs. Cassie

While Chris Brown’s BET Awards performance gets much of the attention, we can’t forget about the obligatory, morning-after-awards-show tradition at THG: Picking apart the night’s ridiculous fashion choices! Below, Fergie and Cassie go head-to-head in a clash of single-named titans. The Black Eyed Pea’s tailcoat dress raised some eyebrows, for better or worse. Cassie’s ensemble, meanwhile, defies description. Is that an ace bandage around her chest? That and the pleated pants really accentuate the half-shaved head, we have to admit. This could become a trend. Whose outfit looked better, fashion fanatics? Vote: Who looked better at the 2010 BET Awards?

2010 BET Awards Belong To Chris Brown, Alicia Keys And Prince

Performances from Eminem, Drake and Nicki Minaj also stand out. By Jayson Rodriguez Chris Brown Photo: Frederick M. Brown/ Getty Images Chris Brown, Alicia Keys and Eminem shined the brightest among the star-filled Shrine Auditorium on Sunday night (June 27), wowing the audience at the 2010 BET Awards in Los Angeles. Brown put out a sizzling tribute to Michael Jackson , just days after the one-year anniversary of the pop icon’s death, with a medley that included “Remember the Time” and “Billie Jean.” The embattled R&B star’s take on “Man in the Mirror” was measured and emotional, tugging at the hearts of many as Brown broke down during the song’s refrain. The singer was decked out in full MJ gear, from the bandaged fingers to the high-waisted pants. As he struggled to finish the lyrics to the song, the audience assisted him, completing the lyrics he could not as he dropped and rose from his knees. Alicia Keys was just as stirring , performing her own solo set and contributing to the tribute to Prince, who was honored with a lifetime-achievement award. Patti LaBelle and Janelle Monae also joined Keys to pay homage to the Purple One. Keys, replete with her newly public baby bump, sang “Adore” and shocked those in attendance when she crawled atop her piano to finish out the sexy number. Eminem also performed twice , taking the stage with B.o.B for the “Airplanes” remix and his own “Not Afraid.” Drake was among the night’s big winners, as he and Young Money cohort Nicki Minaj took home trophies for Best Hip-Hop Artist, male and female, respectively. Trey Songz Honors Prince At BET Awards With ‘Purple Rain’ Verse

Singer kicks off performance with latest single, ‘Yo Side of the Bed.’ By Hillary Crosley Photo: Frederick M. Brown/ Getty Images Trey Songz kicked off Prince’s Lifetime Achievement Award tribute at the BET Awards on Sunday (June 27) with his performance of “Yo Side of the Bed” that bled into “Purple Rain.” In a purple button-up, black slacks and vest, Trey sang his recent hit “Yo Side of the Bed” atop a stage bathed in purple lights. The track’s video, featuring Keri Hilson as a military officer and Trey as her mourning husband after she’s killed in the line of duty, played in the background on large screens. During the performance, Trey gave a shout-out to all who’ve lost a special someone. “This song goes out to anybody watching this tonight,” Trey said to an audience of swaying women. “I feel your pain.” The singer then launched into the first verse of Prince’s 1984 classic “Purple Rain” from the film of the same name. As Trey strained to hit falsetto notes almost on his knees, the camera cut to Prince himself seated in the audience looking on. “Prince, I don’t know where you are, but you inspire us all,” Trey said as a screen showed the message “Pray for our soldiers and their families” behind him. Earlier in the evening, the Virginia native won the award for Best Male R&B Artist and brought his date, his mother, April Tucker, onstage with him to accept his trophy. Tucker is extremely proud of her eldest son and described him as “a regular guy with a God-given voice and talent for writing.” Following the awards show, BET will debut Trey’s documentary “My Moment,” which follows the singer during Jay-Z’s recent Blueprint 3 Tour.
