Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Sued By Former Nanny Mariah and Nick may be on the outs , but they may soon have to come together to pay off one of their former nannies. The woman claims that she was kept on a 24-hour work schedule, then ultimately fired because the twins enjoyed her company too much for Mariah’s liking. Via NYDN : Mariah Carey’s apparently a diva at home, too. A former live-in nanny for the superstar says the “Hero” singer forced her to work 100-hour weeks — and then refused to pay her any overtime. In papers filed Wednesday in Manhattan federal court, Simonette DaCosta says she went to work for Carey and her now estranged husband Nick Cannon in October of 2013. “As such, she attended to their needs not only at home, but also during Ms. Carey’s travels for her global concerts and appearances,” the suit says. “She was on call 24 hours a day. She was always at their beck and call,” said DaCosta’s lawyer, Eli Freedberg. The suit says DaCosta “was always behind the scenes and often by Ms. Carey’s side.” She was paid $6,000- to $7,200-a-month for taking care of fraternal twins Moroccan and Monroe — but didn’t get any overtime, and there was plenty of it. “Plaintiff was on duty during all hours of each 24 hour day with no entitlement for breaks, for meals, and even for sleep. Indeed, Ms. Carey would often call plaintiff at hours in the middle of the night and demand to be taken to her children or to be updated on the status of her children,” the suit says. “Ms. Carey would not tolerate any delay when she called and plaintiff had to attend to her every demand, spontaneous or otherwise.” DaCosta says she was fired in January of last year after Carey berated her “for expressing too much affection for their children.” Freedberg said Carey was “jealous” of the nanny’s relationship with her kids. How many people can say they got canned for doing their job TOO WELL? If all her claims are true, sounds like this lady may have a case on her hands…

Jerame Reid Death An investigation is currently ongoing into yet another death of an unarmed black man killed by police. Newly released footage shows 36-year-old Jerame Reid of New Jersey being gunned down while his hands are raised. SMFH… The Daily Dot reports: When police in Bridgeton, N.J., pulled over Leroy Tutt’s on the night of Dec. 30, it was because he had rolled through a stop sign. Minutes later, his passenger, 36-year-old Jerame Reid, was killed in a hail of bullets fired by officers Braheme Days and Roger Worley. The Bridgeton Police Department has now released dash-cam footage of the fatal encounter, in which Officer Days, who is black, approaches the passenger window and asks for Tutt’s license. Bill Cosby’s lawyer says he did not abuse Chloe Goins and wasn’t even at the Playboy Mansion the night she claims he drugged and sexually abused her. Flight and phone records show Cosby was in N.Y.C., not L.A., the night Chloe Goins claims he took advantage of her, attorney Martin Singer wrote in a statement. “We will be providing documentary evidence to the authorities which conclusively establishes Mr. Cosby’s whereabouts on August 9th,” he wrote. One of more than two dozen women to accuse the comedian of such behavior, Goins, 24, has filed a report seeking criminal charges against Cosby. Goins says she blacked out after having a drink given to her by Cosby during the Midsummer Night’s Party in August 2008, waking up naked in a bedroom. Singer says Cosby was in New York for the preceding and following days as well, proving Goins’ claim that he drugged her and licked her toes bogus. “If Mr. Singer has evidence tell him he can let us see it rather than him just talk about it,” Goins’ lawyer, Spencer Kuvin told the N.Y. Daily News Saturday. “The LAPD will determine whether his evidence is accurate,” he added. “In the meantime I appreciate Mr. Singer admitting that Mr. Cosby has apparently kept his records dating back to 2008. We would like to see them as well.” Most of the alleged Cosby incidents are decades old and outside of the statute of limitations, but Goins is one of the few alleging semi-recent sexual abuse. Cosby, 77, has not been charged with a crime in any of the cases.
