We’re not sure what Nina Dobrev’s supporters are going to make of this!, but… News of the actress’ departure from The Vampire Diaries after the end of the current season hit the Web yesterday, causing an outpouring of sadness from the show’s fans. However, it seems not everyone is crying over Dobrev’s announcement . According to Hollywood Life, a source revealed that Reed is relieved Dobrev will be leaving the series : “One person who isn’t sad to see Nina leave is Nikki. She has definitely been persona non grata on the set and it made things uncomfortable with her and Ian.” “It’s a relief that Nikki can now visit her fiance on set and not worry about any awkwardness with his ex and her friends.” Dobrev and Somerhalder broke up after three years of dating, but their onscreen counterparts still remain an item. Reed and Somerhalder got together shortly after and got engaged after only six months of dating. It’s unclear if tension on set may have caused Dobrev to leave. The actress explained on her Instagram: “I always knew I wanted Elena’s story to be a six season adventure, and within those six years I got the journey of a lifetime.” “There’s more to come before we wrap this up, and I promise you’ll get to hear all about my experiences over the next month as we approach the season finale… … But until then I invite you to hop on the roller coaster ride that is Elena Gilbert’s life and join me as I celebrate her and prepare to say goodbye to her – and to my work family – as I move on to the next chapter of my life.” Reed hasn’t exactly been welcomed on TVD set , or by the fans since many of them were heartbroken when Dobrev and Somerhalder split. Last night on The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 16 , Caroline forced Stefan to abandon his humanity, while Sarah Salvatore nearly met her demise and Damon learned key information about his mother. But Nikki Reed doesn’t care much about what went down on screen. She was more focused on the handsome man leading the action off screen. Ian Somerhalder made his directorial debut on the installment, a feat that was wildly appreciated by the woman he cannot wait to marry. “@iansomerhalder you blow me away,” Reed wrote on Instagram after the episode aired, adding: “I am beyond inspired by the person you are, but mostly I am humbled by your work ethic and desire to always push for the best in yourself and others.” This isn’t the first time the actress has unabashedly gushed over her fiance. “He’s so beautiful inside and out!” Reed told Us Weekly on late January. “He’s quite possibly the most amazing man that’s ever walked the planet, it’s crazy. House of Cards actress Elizabeth Norment has passed away at the age of 61. She died October 13 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, according to her family. Further details about her death are not yet known. Norment’s character Nancy worked under Frank Underwood, the dynamic main character played by Kevin Spacey on the acclaimed political drama. Nancy remained loyal to Underwood and his right-hand man Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly), following Frank from the U.S. House to the West Wing. House of Cards showrunner Beau Willimon mourned Norment’s loss. He said that he and the cast ” deeply saddened by Elizabeth’s passing .” Willimon added: “She was a talented actress, a warm soul and good friend to us all.” Norment’s career as an actress spanned over three decades. The Washington D.C. native studied at the Yale School of Drama, and appeared on TV shows like ER and Mad About You . Elizabeth also had roles in movies like The Woman in Red (1984) and Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (1997) and Robert Kennedy and His Times (1985).
