Criss will take over for the ‘Harry Potter’ star in Broadway’s ‘How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.’ By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Kara Warner Darren Criss Photo: Joe Scarnici/ Getty Images “Glee” castmember Darren Criss is taking his show-choir skills to Broadway, replacing Daniel Radcliffe in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.” The actor will have a three-week gig starting January 3 when the “Harry Potter” star departs the production, the Al Hirschfeld Theatre confirmed to Entertainment Weekly. Rumors have been swirling for weeks now that the spot would go to Criss, who has never before appeared on Broadway. But as recently as last week, the job was still up in the air. “Right now, honestly, I’m just trying to get my head screwed back on,” he told MTV News at San Diego Comic-Con. “I’ve been traveling around a lot, and who knows what the future holds? But if that’s something, who knows, that’d be great.” Criss first made a name for himself with “A Very Potter Musical,” which he created with his production company, Team StarKid. In it, Criss plays Harry Potter, and even though he made an appearance at the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1” NYC premiere last year, he has never met the man behind the Boy Who Lived. “The fake Harry Potter has not met the real Harry Potter,” Criss revealed at Comic-Con. “Only in my dreams, and that’s probably as close as I’ll ever get.” Those dreams might come true now that Criss will need to begin preparing for his stint in “How to Succeed.” There will likely be some sort of torch-passing moment from Radcliffe to Criss, and maybe even a resurgence in fans’ hope to see the two Harry Potters perform together at some point. “If they saw Dan and I do a number, I think ears would bleed,” Criss said at the “Deathly Hallows, Part 1” premiere.

Julie Pacino, the 21-year old daughter of one of the planet’s most iconic actors, was arrested for DWI early Saturday morning in New York. The incident took place around 1:30 a.m. after Julie drove her Mercedes through a checkpoint on Houston Street in Manhattan. “She had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and the strong smell of alcohol on her breath,” officer James Duffy wrote in the police report. “She admitted to drinking three beers and smoking marijuana prior to entering the checkpoint.” Al Pacino flew to NYC from Los Angeles immediately upon hearing this news, as his daughter – a softball standout at UCLA – was was arraigned on Saturday evening and released on her own recognizance. My best friend Jeanette and I had been talking about going to one of Justin’s My World Tour concerts. Since we live in Norway, we obviously decided to go to ask if we can go to Denmark because that was the closest place. The day we were going to ask our parents, we went straight to Jeanette’s house after school. We were there for a while to plan how we were going to ask them. We came up with many key points why they should let us go. I went home to ask my parents while Jeanette was going to ask hers. When I came home I did my all of my home work, cleaned my room and everything. I was sitting on the computer and called my mom and dad to come in. I clicked on the tour dates and started to come up with all the reasons why they should let me go. They just looked at each other and said yes. I thought they were kidding because that is so unlike them just to say yes. We ended up going to Milan instead of Denmark but that was totally fine with us! We bought the tickets and I ran down to Jeantte’s house, we we’re so happy jumping around and started planning our trip, even though it was 6 months until we we’re going to leave. Finally on April 8th we left for Milan. The concert was the next day on the 9th. When we arrived to Milan we went shopping. We couldn’t sleep that night, we were so exited for the concert, we were listning to his songs and jumping around. And deciding what to wear to the concert. The day of the concert, we understood we were going to see THE Justin Bieber. The concert was so much fun, he did a really great performance. Jeanette had been walking around the whole trip saying, ”I have this crazy feeling about us bumping into Justin”. I was like, ”Yeah sure…” she just answered ”Never Say Never!”. So we we’re going to leave and on our way to the airport, and I thought.. yeah sure we’re going to ”bump” into him now, we’re leaving in 2 hours. We checked in and our dads went to pay for something. I then saw a man, and I thought, ”Wow! He looks just like Dan Kanter!” When he got closer, I saw that it was him, I was shocked and I said, ”Hey, how are you?” and he answered ”I’m good, how about you?” ”I’m fine thank you”. My best friend who was standing right next to me didn’t pay attention because she thought it was just a creepy Italian dude trying to flirt with me! When he walked away, I was like, ”Did you see who that was!?” ”Umm… No?” ”It was Dan Kanter!!!” and she was like ”What?! Where!? When!?”, it was then all the feelings came, because we knew we we’re so close to Justin. So later on we decided to ask for a picture but we saw he was eating therefore we waited to ask for a picture. When he was done, we got a picture together and he also gave us one of his guitar pick’s. Behind him we saw Ryan Good, of course we had to ask for a picture with him too. My dad, Jeanette and her dad went into a store in the airport, while I was waiting outside. I sat on the floor there just watching films from the concert the day before on my camera. When I was looking around I saw Kenny! Then I saw a guy with a cap and sunglasses on, that walked just like Justin (you know his swag walk). My jaw was literally dropping, my heart started beating really fast, so fast I thought it was bad for my health. I ran into the store to get Jeanette, I was trying to calm myself down because I seriously couldn’t breathe. Jeanette told me to calm down and I all I could say was ”Justin Bieber” and point, she was like ”Yeah sure Frida” because it is really typical me and be joking about things like that. Then she saw I was serious, she was just like, ”Frida where is he?”. I saw that Justin was in a watch store so I ran to him and got my pokerface on. “Hi Justin!” Justin said, “Hey beautiful” (at that point I thought I was going to faint! Jeanette came later because I ran so fast). We asked for a picture and we took it and said bye. We walked from there just saying, “OMG OMG OMG”, so when he couldn’t see us we ran through all the people in the store to our dad’s screaming! They didn’t understand a thing. Then we saw Alfredo in the front and with the rest of the crew and Justin. We walked around in the store and told eachother to pretend like nothing. Then Justin said, ”Bye girls nice to meet you!” We were just looking at him and waving ”Bye Justin!” . I just stood there staring at him and noticed I haven’t hugged him! I automatically started walking after him into the private lounge. Jeanette was like, ”Where are you going!?” ”I forgot to hug him!” ”Oh me too!”. Kenny said something to us but we didn’t pay attention (sorry Kenny). We got a hug (he smelled so good oh my god!) and talked. This is what we talked about. Justin: So… where are you guys going? Me: We’re going back to Norway we came to see your concert. Justin: Wow…Did you enjoy it? Us: Yes off course! Justin: That’s nice. But sorry guys I gotta go now! Us: Ok bye! We love you! Justin: Bye! Love you too! We also met some of his dancers and DJ Tay James because they had the gate right next to us. This was the best day of our life April 10th. This is now 3 months ago I’m still in shock. This is the first time I’m writing one of these and it’s 2 Bieber Experiences in 1 so let’s go! It was Saturday June 18th when I saw a sign in Macy’s that said Justin will be there to meet his fans Thursday, June 23 rd , 2011 and all you had to do was buy his whole perfume set and be the first 325 people there and you will get to meet him. When I found out, I told my best friend and we went on Wednesday June 22 nd the day you had to buy the whole perfume set. I didn’t think I was going to make it considering there was many people there already but I did make it, I was number 204 in line! The next day was the day I met Justin. I was so nervous, finally my time had come and Justin was right there, he looked so fake of how perfect he is. I went up to him smiled hugged him, while in the hug he said, “Thanks for everything”, they took our picture and then I hugged him and left. I couldn’t believe it. I just met Justin freaking Bieber, it felt so unreal that I started to cry. The second time I met him it was June 30th. I found out that Justin was in NYC with Selena, my friends had met him the day before I did so I found out where his hotel was and headed over there. I waited for about an hour and since he was taking too long, me and my friends decided to go to Starbucks when we came back. I randomly saw Justin and Selena so me and my friends went up to them. Selena was the one that told Justin to stop for us and when they were together, they both looked so happy. I went up to Justin first and he was so nice he took pictures with all of us fans that were there. When I went up to him I hugged him and my friend then took our picture, then I left and hugged him again. Before he went back to his car I decided to ask him for another hug, he said “SURE!” really loud and he pulled me in for a big hug. I was so happy and oh my I sure do love his hugs. We waited for him again that day but he couldn’t take pics with us anymore since he was late for a show but he said hi to us again. NBC is firing back at reports that it is involved in a major bidding war for Casey Anthony – and leading the pack no less – denying that it ever offered money. An NBC rep says: “NBC News has not and will not be in a bidding war for a Casey Anthony interview. No money has or will be offered, no licensing or other arrangements.” “If we were to conduct an interview it would be under our standards.” The network doesn’t deny interest in landing a sit-down with Anthony. In fact, the rep confirms NBC paid for Jose Baez ‘s hotel in NYC last week. Baez, Casey’s attorney, was believed to be holed up and negotiating for interviews on her behalf, and talking about a “big price tag” for them. Sources connected with ABC insist there was indeed a bidding war between all three major networks for Anthony, and even Anthony’s parents. While networks don’t pay for interviews, technically, they frequently get around this by licensing photos and videos – such as this alleged one Casey Anthony drinking – at whatever price they want, effectively the exact same thing.
