Howard Stern’s Wife Wants Him on ‘Idol’!

Beth Ostrosky Stern tells “Extra” she’s given Howard Stern the stamp of approval to take over for Simon Cowell on “American Idol.” “I personally would love if that happened,” Beth tells “Extra” at the Woman’s Red Dress Awards in NYC. “I get the honor of sitting next to him every time I watch ‘American Idol!'” The beauty doesn’t know if there’s an official offer on the table, but says her hubby is “hysterical” and “honest” when they critique the show from their couch at home. The Parents Television Council spoke out against the shock jock on Thursday, urging parents to sign a petition to keep Stern off the judging panel. “Extra” wants to know — Do you think Howard Stern would be a good fit on “Idol”?

Howard Stern Goes to the ‘Sex and the City 2’ Premiere – See Pictures

For some reason the thought of Howard Stern at the premiere of ‘Sex and the City 2’ makes me laugh hysterically.

2009

I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday break. Our entire family went to Fiji to spend time together before one of my brothers was re-deployed this week. It was an emotional holiday for all of us, but it was great sharing some quality time together as well. I was sick when I got back but am finally starting to feel better so the new year is looking more positive. Below is a great photo of us all on the beach. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been visiting all my patient friends that I neglected during the campaign. Some of my friends have gotten married and had babies, so there is a lot to catch up on! This week, I’m in one of my favorite places ever: New York City! I have some meetings and old friends to see. I have the honor of going to a dinner at the White House for Dad the day before the Inauguration and will be blogging about the whole experience prior to relaunching the site in February. Thanks, as always, to everyone for their great notes and messages! And last but not least, I thought it was time for a new “post-election” song of the day. Enjoy! Desert Winter

Just a quick update on some things. I have some upcoming projects that have come up and as it turns out, I will not be in DC next week. I’m sure everyone will get their fill of network coverage for the inaugural festivities. I’ll admit, that I had more than my share of the cold weather in NYC last week. It’s nice to be back in sunny, 70+ degree weather in Arizona! Song of the Day: “Good Lord Willing” by Little Big Town

Sleep with the Lights On

What’s Up Everyone? Things are pretty crazy right now. I leave for New York this weekend to do a bunch of media for The Daily Beast . I will be on CBS’s The Early show and Hannity on Tuesday. I will be on Inside Edition and Extra on Wednesday. So everyone tune in! Reminds me of the old days of doing press for the campaign. I still cannot believe the reaction to my recent articles on the “Beast” and I want to thank all of you for keeping tabs on my writings there. Your support means the world to me and I am so very, very grateful. I love writing for them and I highly suggest everyone visit the site. It is the perfect combination of politics, current events and pop culture (and everyone knows how much I love the combination of politics and pop culture). All the people that work for the site are very cool and it is a privilege to be working for Tina Brown. I will be taking pictures and blogging about my little trip to NYC. From there, I head to DC to see my parents and brother, Jack. I’ll be sure to share what’s going on. It is no secret DC has never been my favorite city, but I try and keep an open mind during every trip. I can’t help that I feel very blonde and very “west coast” whenever I visit… Right now, I can not stop listening to this song ” Phenomena ” by the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s. It is the song at the end of the movie “The Ruins” which is officially one of the scariest movies I have ever seen! Anyone that wants a good horror movie should rent it immediately. It gave me nightmares for days! And I finally am using Twitter. Anyone that wants to follow me can go to www.twitter.com/mccainblogette . Love, Meghan P.S. I am still trying to figure out what tattoo I should get to commemorate my time on the trail. I feel like I am finally ready to commit to some new ink. So far “McCain” in gothic letters on the back of my neck is winning my unofficial survey. Please write in with any suggestions and I will take pics when I finally chose an artist to ink me up! P.P.S. The title to this post is from the lyrics to “Phenomena”… get it now!
