Crystal Bowersox Will Win ‘American Idol,’ Howard Stern Predicts

By Jocelyn Vena Howard Stern Photo: MTV News For quite some time now, there have been rumblings that Howard Stern could replace Simon Cowell on “American Idol.” But does Stern even watch the show? Well, as it turns out, he does, and he has a pretty good idea of who he thinks will win this season, as the final two go head-to-head Tuesday night (May 25). “I watch it religiously. I believe Crystal Bowersox will win,” he said at the NYC premiere of “Sex and the City 2.” “I don’t think the show has been great this season. That’s why their ratings have dropped a little bit. The judges have been a little soft. I think it’s time to mix it up, make it a little more exciting again, but what do I know?” Stern could be the guy to mix things up a bit alongside Ellen DeGeneres, Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson. Though, he’s kind of torn about whether he’d even want to do it. “I don’t know if I’m going to be the next Simon Cowell,” he said. “Quite frankly, I think I’m a little more talented than that. I like Simon. I think he’s great, but I tend to do more than break people’s hearts, their dreams. I really don’t think that’s my kind of job, but for that kind of money, I’d do it.” Stern said his plate is already pretty full. “I don’t think they can get me, ’cause I’ve got a radio show. I’ve got Howard TV. That keeps me very busy, and quite frankly, judging a bunch of kids singing, I mean … what am I going to do?” So if not Stern, then who? “I really would have no idea. Ellen DeGeneres, I think she’s proven she’s a nice talk-show host, [but] she doesn’t offer anything,” he said about this season’s rookie judge. Christina Aguilera Cancels Summer Tour

Christina Aguilera has spent a lot of time shooting down comparisons to Lady Gaga. But perhaps this artist should have been promoting her summer tour instead. Sources confirm that Aguilera’s summer concerts in North America have been canceled, likely due to poor ticket sales, although the performer’s reps are claiming otherwise (naturally). They say the tour has merely been “postponed” until 2011 because: “The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour date this wasn’t possible.” A true sign of whether Christina’s comeback has already flopped will be when her album hits stores on June 8. If “Bionic” doesn’t sell well, Aguilera may be forced to embrace her inner thespian. She does make her feature film debut in November’s Burlesque , after all. Without a tour this summer, at least Christina can spent more time at home. Toddler son Max is a certified cutie.

T.I. Premieres Second Single From King Uncaged

‘Prison ain’t change me, it made me worse,’ an aggressive T.I. raps on ‘Yeah Ya Know (Takers).’ By Jayson Rodriguez T.I. in NYC on April 20, 2010 Photo: Shareif Ziyadat/ FilmMagic T.I. debuted the second song from his upcoming King Uncaged album on Monday evening (May 24), via his personal website, TrapMuzik.com . Produced by longtime collaborator DJ Toomp, “Yeah Ya Know (Takers)” appears to double as a number from the forthcoming film “Takers,” in which T.I. stars alongside Chris Brown and Matt Dillon. A representative from the rapper’s label, Atlantic, was unable to confirm this as of press time. A more aggressive T.I. can be heard on “Yeah Ya Know (Takers)” — a harder posture than the one he takes on his previous King Uncaged effort, “I’m Back,” which marked the Atlanta MC’s first output since his federal imprisonment ended earlier this year. T.I. shouts during the song’s spoken outro, “Prison ain’t change me, it made me worse. Right, ‘Pac? If I want it, I’ma come get it. I ain’t asking for it — I’mma take it. We takers.” On the chorus, he references his drug-dealing past and the transition to becoming a superstar lyricist. “I went from rolling with the rocks on the block,” T.I. raps. “To controlling my position at the top of every chart, and I will not stop/ Then we ride, then we roll, then you stop, and we go, yeah ya know.” The charismatic MC has kept a low profile since he finished serving out his post-jail sentence in a halfway house. He released “I’m Back” and later appeared with CNN’s Larry King for his first interview, telling the legendary host “depression and paranoia” led to his arrest. “It came from an attempt that was made on my life,” Tip explained. “My best friend [Philant Johnson] had died in my arms. It caused a state of depression and paranoia. My judgment was jaded, and I felt my life was in danger. … At the time, when I felt the need to have these [weapons], I never took into consideration the legalities; I only took into consideration the protection of my life and family.” On Monday, T.I. is also slated to post an interview on his website that was conducted by Jamie Foxx. The Bachelorette: Who Will Become Mr. Ali Fedotowsky?

Who will Ali Fedotowsky choose to spend the rest of her life with? We begin to answer that question this evening on the season premiere of The Bachelorette as 25 aspiring trophy husbands compete for air time her affection. If The Bachelorette spoilers , based on reliable intel, are to be believed, we already know who her final two suitors are … but more on that in just a moment. Regardless, it should be a wild ride for Ali Fedotowsky , the beautiful, energetic and charismatic career-oriented woman who has at last “re-prioritized her life.” The whole “I’m choosing my career” thing was likely a ploy to get out of marrying Jake Pavelka and land this gig, but either way, the soul mate search is on! Beautiful Ali Fedotowsky and host-pimp Chris Harrison are ready to tag-team The Bachelorette starting tonight. In a manner of speaking, of course . Her quest won’t disappoint conflict-hungry fans: “There is definitely a bit of drama,” Ali said. “Rumors are rumors. Whether there is truth to them, I can’t say.” “There was a lot of emotion, good and bad.” We’ve withheld their names so far, but you’re curious, follow the jump to see the two guys supposedly in the running for Ali’s heart on The Bachelorette finale … Chris Lambton was a high school teacher who left teaching in NYC to return home to take care of his ailing mother, who died in 2008. He lives on Cape Cod. He is said to be a good guy who is wary of telling Ali Fedotowsky his story because he doesn’t want sympathy, but rather to have her like him for who he is. A graduate of Providence College, Chris Lambton is 33 and taught public school for about a decade before the aforementioned return to Massachusetts. Ali is also from the Bay State! Will that give Chris an edge?! Not if Roberto Martinez has anything to say about it. The 26-year-old insurance agent is rumored to be the other gentleman in Ali’s final two with Chris. It’s also been said that he was a pro baseball player at some point, but that could be complete BS … or some other Roberto Martinez . You never can tell. While endlessly entertaining, The Bachelorette will embellish any “back story” or conflict to generate ratings, so you can’t really believe what you’re told.
