It looks like Robert Pattinson has Kristen Stewart beat in at least one regard: the actor most likely showered on Friday. Amidst reports that Stewart is an unkempt mess , sources say that Pattinson actually made a public appearance over the weekend, stopping by The Deer Lodge in Ojai, California on Friday night with a few friends. An employee of the cowboy-themed establishment confirms that he heard the same, telling Radar Online that he was not working that evening, but “several people” informed him ” Pattinson was here enjoying the music” and seemed to be in “good spirits.” The bar is located about 90 minutes from the home Rob and Kristen shared in Los Angeles and would make sense as a locale for Rob to frequent at the moment, considering he’s rumored to be residing in Reese Witherspoon’s vacation home . It’s situated in Ojai. An unnamed patron also confirmed the handsome sighting, Tweeting afterward: “Awesome night in Ojai. Got to hang with a rowdy bunch of Brits & one of them happened to be Edward… He wasn’t moping and the girls were definitely just his friend… I stood next to them at the bar. He wasn’t drunk. Just taking in the scene. Smoked next to him outside.” The countdown, meanwhile, is on for Pattinson first official public appearance: it will take place August 13 in NYC at the premiere of Cosmopolis .
The Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes divorce doesn’t mean they’re not both loving and committed parents to their daughter, as the couple continues to show. It was father-daughter bonding time as Tom took his adorable little girl Suri Cruise to the Magic Kingdom itself, Disney World in Orlando this week. Here’s a fan photo taken of the duo at the park … Tom and Katie’s divorce, which was settled out of court before any kind of nasty legal war could break up, promises him “meaningful and significant contact” with six-year-old Suri Cruise despite her living with her mom. He got it last month when they emotionally reunited in NYC, then again in Florida this week with the Magic Carpets of Aladdin and the Jungle Cruise. The highs and lows of the Summer Olympics were on full display during preliminary competition in women’s gymnastics last night. Reigning world champion Jordyn Wieber was reduced to tears after failing to qualify for the finals, while Aly Reisman was among two Americans who did move on to the medal round. But not without a lot of anxiety on the part of her parents, Lynn and Ricky, who were mic’d up and videotaped by NBC as their daughter attempted to move on. The results were both humorous and adorable, as you can witness mother and father living and dying with every move Aly makes:

Snoop Dogg has been banned from entering Norway for two years after trying to enter the country and being stopped by customs for cannabis possession . The star was held at Kjevik Airport while on his way to a music festival, when officials found him with eight grams of the drug. He was fined and released. The 40-year-old’s lawyer said the rapper had no immediate plans to appeal against the ban. His client could ” live with the decision ,” he added. Snoop was also found at the time to be carrying more cash than is legally allowed and was fined 52,000 kroner (around $10,000) for the offenses. He went on to perform at Norway’s Hove Festival before leaving Norway without incident. He won’t be back until Summer 2014 at the earliest. In January, Snoop was also arrested in Texas after border agents found cannabis on his tour bus. He was released with a citation there as well. Alex McCord and Simon Van Kempen are about to enter Couples Therapy . Not for real, of course. For VH1. Sources confirm to The Huffington Post that these former Real Housewives of New York City stars will soon embark on another reality TV project with that network. Filming is already underway, with crews following Alex and Simon around the streets of The Big Apple. McCord, Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Cindy Barshop all got the axe from Bravo last year, with Alex the first to re-enter the world of television. She and Simon are expected to dish on their time as cast members during this new series, while also sharing details of their lives post- Housewives . We just REALLY hope we don’t hear any more about Van Kempen climaxing during child birth .
Count Michael Bloomberg as someone who doesn’t think any lives would have been saved inside an Aurora, Colorado movie theater last Friday if MORE people had been carrying guns. During an appearance on Face the Nation , the NYC Mayor was asked about remarks made by a Texas Congressman in which Louie Gohmert speculated that James Holmes could have been stopped and fewer people killed/injured if only movie goers had been “carrying.” Bloomberg’s responded by basically making like Seth Meyers and asking: REALLY?!? You really think it will be safer to create a “wild west” like country where every other person is holding a weapon?
Any re-hash of Beetlejuice will have to include Michael Keaton, Tim Burton who directed the 1988 original that also starred Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara has said. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter writer Seth Grahame-Smith, who is currently penning a script for the Beetlejuice sequel said in May that he’s spoken with both Burton and Keaton about the proposed follow-up. In Beetlejuice , Keaton played the ghost in the film, which went on to gross nearly $74 million in the U.S. and cost about $13 million at the time to make. “I think he would be willing to do it. He would have to be [in] it,” Tim Burton told MTV News at Comic-Con where he was promoting his new stop-motion pic “Frankenweenie.” “He was great as that character. I think it’s a way to unleash your inner whatever. I bet you he would get right back into it.” Continuing, Burton added, “I’m finishing this, and then I need to [revisit ‘Beetlejuice 2’].” Grahame-Smith told a crowd in Austin, TX back in May via Aint It Cool News “It’s one of the things I’m producing at Warner Bros and it’s one of the things I’m supposed to write…I met with Michael Keaton and Tim Burton about it and they said the same thing, ‘if you come up with a story that’s worthy of us actually doing this for real and not something that’s about cashing in or forcing a reboot down someone’s throats, then we’ll think about it.” He also said he has his own restrictions for proceeding with the possible second Beetlejuice : “If it’s not something we all get super-excited about then why do it…” He said he told the studio it “can’t be a reboot or remake.” The project would have to be in his words, “a straight, pure sequel. If it’s 27 years after the first movie, then 27 years will have transpired in the next movie.” An animated Beetlejuice series ran from 1989 to 1992 first on ABC and then Fox, loosely based on the 1988 film that Burton developed and executive produced.
