Monster-In-Law: Ain’t Isht Mama Joyce Refused To Talk To Todd During The Wedding With Kandi

Mama Joyce is still on that bullisht. Mama Joyce Refused To Speak To Todd During Wedding At least she didn’t try to put her foot in someone’s azz. According to Radar Online: Kandi Burruss tied the knot with Todd Tucker in a romantic wedding filmed for reality TV on April 4, despite the objections of her mother, Mama Joyce, who exclusively told RadarOnline.com that she begrudgingly attended the wedding and completely ignored the groom the whole time! The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Mama Joyce has made no secret about her distaste for Burruss’ fiancé, but on her daughter’s big day, she says, she kept her mouth shut. “I didn’t really pay any attention to him,” Mama Joyce told Radar, confirming that she completely ignored Tucker during the wedding. “We didn’t talk.” Outspoken in her disapproval of her daughter’s choice for a husband, Mama Joyce said “I was very nice!” despite her bad feelings. “It was her decision to make to marry him and she says she’s happy and she didn’t see anything wrong with him so she did it,” the reality TV star said. Mama Joyce, who is managed by the Tara Thomas agency, told Radar that she did think Burruss, 37, was a “beautiful” bride and that the whole event was wonderful. As for the future of Burruss and Tucker’s marriage, Mama Joyce told Radar that she isn’t expecting it to last for a long time. “Time will tell, but I only pray that I’m wrong and that they do last,” she said. “But I don’t see how they can.” After all Kandi’s been through she deserves to have a happy and fulfilling marriage, but if it doesn’t work out, you can bet your bottom dollar Mama Joyce had something to do with it. Chris Christie Defends Decision to Honor Whitney Houston with Low-Flying Flags

Whitney Houston will officially rest in peace this Saturday afternoon in New Jersey, as her loved ones gather for a funeral in Newark and millions gather around their computer to watch a live stream. But the circumstances surrounding this ceremony have been anything but peaceful. As Houston’s family continues to battle with Bobby Brown over whether or not the singer will attend, Governor Chris Christie has been forced to address his state’s decision to honor the artist by flying all government flags at half-staff. “What I would say to everybody is there but for the grace of God go I,” Christie said in response to complaints that New Jersey is turning a drug addict into a role model. Other objections to the move emanate from those who believe this sort of memorial should be reserved for members of the military, first responders and elected officials. “I am disturbed by people who believe that because her ultimate demise – and we don’t know what is the cause of her death yet – but because of her history of substance abuse that somehow she’s forfeited the good things that she did in her life,” said the governor during a briefing in northern New Jersey. “I just reject that on a human level.” The funeral raises two questions, both of which we ask of readers below: SHOULD FLAGS BE FLOWN AT HALF-STAFF? SHOULD THE FUNERAL BE STREAMED ONLINE?

Media Far from Neutral on Swiss Voters Approving Deportation Measure for Violent Criminals

The liberal media are generally fond of touting European countries for their liberal domestic policies, chastising America by comparison for being too conservative. But when the electorate of such a country votes to institute a strong conservative policy over the objections of its political elite, the media's fascination with the European everyman evaporates. Take Sunday's vote by Swiss citizens to institute a referendum requiring foreigners convicted of serious crimes to be expelled from the country after serving out their sentences. Fifty-three percent of voters approved the bill, dismissing the objections of their professional political class who urged “no” votes. Covering the story, the Christian Science Monitor decried the move as “the latest example of a sweeping set of popular antiforeigner measures around Europe”: read more

ABC, NBC and CBS Ignore Report That Government Experts Opposed Drilling Moratorium

All three network news shows on Tuesday skipped a report that a group of experts consulted by the Obama administration opposed the government’s plan to halt deepwater oil drilling for six months. Only Special Report With Bret Baier covered the story. FNC reporter James Rosen noted a federal judge’s decision to overturn the plan: “The judge also rebuked the Obama administration for filing a quote ‘misleading misrepresentation’ in the case by suggesting an expert panel supported the moratorium when a majority of its members do not.” ABC’s World News, CBS’s Evening News and NBC’s Nightly News (as well as Good Morning America, Early Show and Today) all highlighted the judge’s ruling, but none of them mentioned the opposition from eight out of the 15 members on the panel. CNSNews.com’s Edwin Mora explained: The eight experts outlined their objections in a June 8 letter to Louisiana Sens. Mary Landrieu (D) and David Vitter (R) and Gov. Bobby Jindal (R). “A group of those named in the Secretary of Interior’s Report, ‘Increased Safety Measures for Energy Development on the Outer Continental Shelf,’ dated May 27, 2010 are concerned that our names are connected with the moratorium as proposed in the executive summary of that report,” the experts said in their letter.
