Emmy Host Jane Lynch

Jane Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester on the FOX hit, will also play host for the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards, airing live from Los Angeles in September. Glee#39;s Jane Lynch has been tapped to host the Emmys this year – and yes, she promises to rock her “finest tracksuit” for the occasion. She#39;ll be in familiar territory, having won an Emmy herself last year for her role on Glee. “I am tickled pink to be hosting the Primetime Emmys on FOX,” Lynch said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to

Prince William and Kate Middleton Will Get Married in Two Dimensions

Sad news for fans of over-hype: The royal family will not allow Rupert Murdoch to broadcast the already over-hyped wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 3-D, despite the fact that the Murdoch-owned Sky News has the ability to do so. “I’m afraid I have to say that we have decided not to progress with 3-D coverage of the service on this occasion,” said Prince Charles’ press secretary in a statement. (Any chance her name is Moneypenny?) Fingers crossed for a crappy post-conversion 3-D DVD release spearheaded by M. Night Shyamalan. [ NYO ]

Must Be Nice: Diddy’s Son Justin Now Owns A Maybach Limo Too

Diddy’s son Justin recently celebrated his 17th birthday and marked the occasion with a more low key celebration compared to last year’s appearance on MTV’s “My Super Sweet Sixteen.” What wasn’t low key however was his gift from the Bad Boy Records head who bought him yet another $300,000 plus Maybach; this time a limousine. Diddy was criticized last year for buying such an expensive gift for the teen but obviously ignored critics and gave his son another luxury car estimated to cost over $396,000. ( Continue Reading )

Happy Holidays from Ke$ha!

Ke$ha wants to wish all her fans a merry little Christmas. A merry, little, unusual, gross Christmas, that is. Stationed in Moscow for the occasion, the singer recorded the following holiday message/song and Tweeted the following message: “Thanks for the best year ever. I love you!!!” Nice enough, right? But watch the 24-year old croon a Christmas classic and beware of what takes place around the 30-second mark. Things get very strange, to say the least… Ke$ha – Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Happy Anniversary, Joleasa!

In the wake of so many celebrity splits – farewell, Ryan and Scarlett; best of luck, Tony and Eva – it’s nice to be reminded of a couple that appears happier than ever, isn’t it? Such is certainly the case for Kevin Jonas and Danielle Deleasa, who were married one year ago yesterday. The twosome celebrated this occasion at Walt Disney World, as seen above. Sources say they booked Cinderella’s Castle Suite last night. We’ll let readers use their own imagination for why. But let’s just say that if rumors of Danielle’s pregnancy are false, perhaps they won’t be in the near future. Congratulations to this adorable couple!

To mark this occasion, Movieline spoke with Big Bang co-creator Chuck Lorre about how the fourth-year comedy endured a very scary real-life drama to serve up one of its best seasons to date.

Bethenny Frankel: Coming to a City Near You… for Some Reason

It looks like Teresa Giudice isn’t the only one trying to capitalize on the desperate ignorance of Bravo viewers who think a Real Housewives cast member can offer anything remotely useful. Bethenny Frankel will soon embark on a speaking tour that is being billed as “an evening of sass and fabulous fun.” For a price, of course. Tickets for Frankel’s event will cost up to $75, but can you really put a cost on hearing Bethenney Frankel “dish on life, work and her passion for living healthy?” We hope you can, America. We really hope you can. Keep reading to find out when Frankel will be in your area. January 13: Lowell Memorial Auditorium, Lowell, MA January 14: Proctor’s Theatre, Schenectady, NY January 15: Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium, Providence, RI January 20: Count Basie Theatre, Red Bank, NJ January 21: Merriam Theatre, Philadelphia, PA January 22: DuPont Theatre, Wilmington, DE January 27: Pabst Theatre, Milwaukee, WI January 28: Genesee Theatre, Waukegan, IL January 29: Rialto Square Theatre, Joliet, IL

Celebrity of the Year Finalist #7: Sarah Palin!

With 2010 drawing to a close, it is with much pride that THG unveils its 10 finalists for its prestigious, Fourth Annual Celebrity of the Year award. These stars all gave us their best, their worst, their nude pics (sometimes) and their scandals (often). This month, THG honors that greatness. Following Lindsay Lohan checking in at #8 after checking into rehab eight times, we present Celebrity of the Year finalist #7 … Sarah Palin ! Sarah Palin and her equally-entertaining offspring . It’s hard to believe that two years ago, someone on THG’s Celebrity of the Year countdown was nominated for Vice President of the United States. Sarah Palin treats convention like she does the English language, though. Since resigning as Alaska Governor last summer, she’s gone on to, uhh … hmm. Become a professional celebrity? Tough to put your finger on, but she’s certainly not a political figure anymore. Political figures advocate for policy and progress. Sarah Palin advocates for Sarah Palin. Relentlessly. With the exception of PETA and Speidi, no organization is as persistently shameless in pursuit of attention, controversy and headlines than Sarah Palin Inc. She’s great at what she does. Whether you abhor or adhere to her conservative ideals, you gotta give her that … and be glad she no longer holds office. Some Sarah highlights from 2010 include: Inventing the word refudiate Using crib notes in speeches Calling out Family Guy Criticizing American Idol stars Wrote a book, apparently Getting a reality show on TLC Shooting caribou on television Going camping with Kate Gosselin Yup, it’s been a busy year. Her kids got in on the act as well. Bristol Palin made it to the finals on Dancing With the Stars , briefly got engaged a second time to Levi Johnston, filmed an abstinence PSA with The Situation and so on. Even Willow Palin, Bristol’s younger sister, got people all riled up with a homophobic Facebook rant at some dude who said Sarah Palin’s Alaska was failing so hard. Do the fierce lil’ grizzly cubs stick up for their mama? You betcha, and more power to ’em. Here’s a photo tribute to a woman like no other in this great country …

David Letterman Again Bashes Obama’s Vacations

David Letterman for at least the second time in eight days mocked Barack Obama for spending so much time on R&R During his “Late Show” opening monologue, the host quipped, “The President’s been busy, he redecorated the Oval Office and then he took another two week vacation.”  Moments later, Letterman talked about Obama’s address to the nation the previous day before presenting a video of the speech.  As you’ll see from this doctored clip, the President wasn’t wearing attire at all suitable for the occasion (video follows with commentary): Readers are reminded that Letterman joked about Obama’s vacations just last Tuesday. Remember shortly after his inauguration Hollywood comedians and writers felt Obama was off-limits. Not anymore!
