Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell: Married!

Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell got married today in London. The Beatles legend, 69, and New York businesswoman, 51, have been dating since 2007, after he divorced Heather Mills. They announced their engagement in May. The couple were greeted with jubilation as they arrived at the Old Marylebone Town Hall, which was opened especially for the event. Here’s a photo of the newlyweds: Shevell wore a flower in her hair and long-sleeved, v-neck, knee-length ivory dress and shoes by her new stepdaughter, fashion designer Stella McCartney. Stella, whose mother is the late Linda McCartney, Paul’s wife of 29 years until her 1998 death, also made her dad’s navy blue suit for the occasion. McCartney’s daughter with Mills, seven-year-old Beatrice, served as the flower girl. Shevell’s college-age son, Arlen, was also in attendance at the affair. Famous guests included Barbara Walters (a cousin of Nancy Shevell , interestingly), Paul’s brother Mike, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison’s widow, Olivia. McCartney and Shevell waved to guests as they left the Town Hall amid a shower of rose petals tossed by guests. For all involved, it was a day to savor. “It was terrific – thank you!” McCartney told the crowd, joking with fans that he felt “married” and asking reporters in jest, “What are you all doing here?” [Photo: WENN.com]

Michelle Obama Stays on Target

First Lady Michelle Obama shops at Target? Who knew! Well, now you do. We meant before reading this story. The 47-year-old mother of two was recently seen taking a shopping cart through Target in Alexandria, Va., just outside D.C., carrying two bags full of purchases. The fashionable First Lady dressed down for the occasion. If she weren’t swarmed by Secret Service agents and photographers every waking moment, the American style icon might even be considered incognito in a gray Nike baseball cap, sunglasses and a casual buttoned top. That said, she seemed to make her way through the store without too much commotion. A source tells People that Michelle “picked up dog food and toys for Bo,” among other undisclosed household items. For the White House . For more on the First Lady, check out these Michelle Obama pictures !

Seen On The Scene: Shaq Makes His Retirement Official In Vegas

Here are Shaq and his D-List boo on the red carpet in Vegas. They were there for Shaq’s official retirement party at Moon Nightclub at The Palms… but neither of them seemed to dress for the occasion. And the only other celebrity there was this guy… Way to celebrate a Hall of Fame career. Guess none of that matters when you’ve got love or whatever.

Kim Kardashian Flashes Her Breasts Belly

Apparently Kim Kardashian and her big booty are over in England pushing some crappy fragrance or feminine hygiene product of hers on the poor British. I don’t understand the fascination with smelly like a reality TV star, I’m going to come out with my own HollywoodTuna fragrance… Guess what it’s going to smell like. Anyhow, at least she decided to wear a tight fitting dress for the occasion. Although, when you’ve got a booty as big as Kim’s, everything is tight fitting.

From 8 1/2 to Life Aquatic: 9 Great Movies About Moviemaking

Although today’s new releases Super 8 and Road to Nowhere couldn’t be farther apart in terms of budget, genre, tone, influence and spirit, they do have one striking theme in common: At heart, they are both about the sacrifices, struggles and adventures encountered by artists who make movies. They are the latest in a long tradition of films about films — and film love — that Movieline’s S.T VanAirsdale and Christopher Rosen surveyed for the occasion.
