According to TMZ , fans went full-on Michael Scott “It’s happening!” meme when Kylie posted a video of hundreds of bouquets of roses that had been delivered to her house. Sadly, it was NOT a marriage proposal. Travis was simply congratulating his baby mama on of her lil’ makeup collab with ULTA. Nothing more, nothing less. Everybody relax.
Photo by Johnny Nunez/WireImage Jimmy Henchman Charged With 2 Life Sentences In Lodi Mack Murder There’s no doubt about it, Jimmy Henchman is going to jail for life. A Manhattan judge offered absolutely no mercy to former hip-hop boss Jimmy Henchman in court this week. Henchman was sentenced to two life prison sentences for the murder Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher. Back in 2007, Lodi Mack, with the help of Tony Yayo, roughed up Jimmy’s 14-year-old son, which happened during a time where a deadly feud between Game and G-Unit was bubbling. At the time, the assault made headlines and even drew protests and condemnation from the likes of Al Sharpton and the National Action Network. Both Tony Yayo and Lodi Mack were eventually convicted of the attack. Lodi Mack went to jail for the incident, while Tony Yayo received just 10 days of community service. Prosecutors say that Lodi Mack was later shot and killed in the Bronx–on Jimmy’s order–in September of 2009, just weeks after he was released from prison. Jimmy was accused of giving two kilos of cocaine to men in his drug dealing organization, in exchange for the murder of Lodi Mack. Years later in 2014, Jimmy’s trial for the murder resulted in a hung jury. Though Henchman was found guilty of the murders later that year, the verdict was overturned in 2016 after an appeals court ruled that the judge overseeing the trial was wrong for limiting a line of questioning to Brian McCleod. Jimmy was ultimately convicted of Lodi Mack’s murder in November of 2017. The case finally came to a close just this week, with Jimmy’s formal sentence of two life sentences. Authorities convicted him of running a $10-million-dollar a year drug enterprise known as the “Rosemond Organization.” Jimmy apologized to his friends and family for the situation, but he adamantly denied taking part and in a conspiracy to murder Lodi Mack almost a decade ago. “This is America! I want to apologize to my family and my support system,” Jimmy Henchman said in a statement to AllHipHop . “Most importantly, to my son; When I asked you to intern as a 14 yr old at my office it was because I wanted you to see your father working and have a strong role model. Henchman continued, “I wanted you to look up to brown and black people in boardrooms rather than in the streets. I was proud of the work I was doing. I never thought when I sent you on that errand, you would be surrounded and assaulted by 50 Cent and four G-Unit grown men with guns for wearing a T-shirt.”
Prince Williams/ATL Pics.net Michael Williams Charged With Sutton Tennyson’s Murder A man has turned himself in connection with the murder of Angela Simmons’ ex-fiance and father of their son. Michael Shareef Williams – also known as Michael Watson – surrendered to Atlanta Police Wednesday, and has been charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, law enforcement told BOSSIP. Sutton Tennyson was gunned down in his own driveway Nov. 3 after an argument with an unknown person “escalated,” according to police. The suspect then sped off and cops later found him deceased with multiple gunshot wounds. Williams, 44, is being held in the Fulton County Jail and no date has been set for his arraignment, according to jail records. A police spokeswoman said their investigation is ongoing, and Williams’ charges may be upgraded. Meanwhile, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed an autopsy of Tennyson’s body, but the results won’t be available for 30 to 60 days, an investigator told BOSSIP. Simmons hasn’t yet commented on the arrest.
Photo by Paras Griffin/Getty Images for 2016 Essence Festival Oprah To Produce The Color Purple Movie Musical With Steven Spielberg It looks like The Color Purple is making it’s return to the big screen, along with some help from all the right people. According to an exclusive report via Collider , Oprah Winfrey has signed on along with Steven Spielberg to produce a film adaptation of the critically acclaimed Broadway musical. This report comes more than thirty years after the duo originally worked together on The Color Purple film, which was based on Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. The book told the story of Celie, a black Southern woman who struggles to overcome the pain of extreme poverty and abuse throughout her entire life. Spielberg directed the film, while Oprah portrayed the character of Sofia Johnson, along with some help from Whoopi Goldberg as Celie. “ The Color Purple was a seminal moment in my life. I read the book when it came out,” Oprah told the Collider back in 2014. “I got the book and read it, in one day. And then, I went back, the next day, and bought every copy they had. I would hand the book out to everybody that I knew. I passed it around to everybody in the office. I became obsessed with the book. I moved to Chicago and I would literally walk around with a backpack filled with books because I didn’t have a book club, and I would just start a conversation with people and say, ‘Have you read The Color Purple ?’ And if they hadn’t, I’d say, ‘Here, have a copy, right here.’ I was literally obsessed with it.” Sticking with the project, Oprah would later produce The Color Purple musical, which debuted in 2005 and go on to win multiple Tony Awards. As for the movie, Quincy Jones and Scott Sanders will produce the upcoming Warner Bros. film alongside Oprah and Spielberg. But a far as talent goes, there are no details about casting, writers, or a director as of now.

Ghosts from the past roamed the halls of Seattle Grace Memorial on Thursday’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy as Día de Muertos weighed heavily on the minds of our favorite characters. It was all thanks to a girl named Flo who was in the hospital for surgery, so her family decided to celebrate their tradition, and it resulted in a lot of blasts from the past. Before that, Richard pulled Meredith aside to let her know that one of his friends told him her father was dying of cancer and was in a hospice. Gulp. This threw Meredith for a loop as she tried to conclude whether her deadbeat father deserved to be graced with her presence one last time. As such, she turned to Maggie because they’re as close as ever, but Meredith quickly realized the journey ahead was one she had to travel on her own. Cece set her up on another date, and she wasted no time in talking about her issues with her father, and it rendered the whole romance a dud. Both Link and DeLuca were in a battle for Meredith’s heart, so they were especially pissed to learn that she was still dating. After embracing Día de Muertos, Meredith exited the hospital, but there were ghosts from the past walking the halls. There was Derek, Lexie, George and even Meredith’s mother, Ellis. Meredith somehow found herself getting closer to Link after visiting Alex instead of her father. Elsewhere, Miranda and Jo worked together with a woman who was planning her funeral because she was under the impression she was not getting the liver she needed in time. A patient died, and Miranda decided to try and salvage the liver from his body because he was a match with the woman who needed the liver. Despite the liver functioning, Alex shut the whole thing down, claiming that he couldn’t allow it to go ahead in case there were issues down the line that put the hospital under scrutiny. But Bailey and Jo went ahead with the surgery thinking they were saving a life, and that they did. The surgery went well, and the woman survived with a new lease on life. Jo thought Alex was going to flip out, but he loved that she was right and they got hot and heavy in his office. Elsewhere, Betty went missing, and it threw a wrench in Teddy’s plan to tell Owen all about her carrying his child. Yes, this storyline is going to be dragged on until the midseason finale, you guys! Amelia, Teddy, and Owen worked together to find the teenager, but their mission was unsuccessful. They ultimately gave up when Amelia had to go to a meeting because she thought she was being triggered. The mystery of Betty’s whereabouts will continue on next Thursday’s installment. Gillum argued that DeSantis is part of the problem. He pointed to comments DeSantis made on Fox News in which he warned Floridians not to “monkey this up” by voting for his Black opponent. Soon after DeSantis blew that racist dog whistle, neo-Nazis began sending out robocalls that included jungle music and monkey calls in the background. “My opponent has run this race very close to the Trump handbook where we call each other names.” Teacher salaries Gillum noted that teachers’ salaries in Florida are ranked the 45th lowest of the 50 states. “If my grandmother was here, she wouldn’t just say that’s a shame, she would say that’s a crying shame.” Gillum called out DeSantis for telling lies about his policy positions “In the last debate, Mr. DeSantis lied 21 times. He recalled his childhood experiences. “I remember having to wait for the free dental clinic to come through my neighborhood to have my teeth cleaned.” DeSantis questioned the moderator’s data from the bipartisan Congressional Budget Office’s report that rejected the healthcare plan that the former congressman and his GOP colleagues promoted. Gillum delivered this zinger. “Mr. DeSantis could have a monopoly on his opinion, but he doesn’t have a monopoly on facts. On Tuesday, text messages were made public about the source of tickets Gillum received to the Broadway musical “Hamilton” that appear to contradict his statements at the first debate on the issue. “In the state of Florida we have 99 issues, and Hamilton ain’t one of them.” The Republican taxes overhaul Gillum called the GOP tax overhaul that boosted the bottom line for corporations a failure for working class families. The Republicans promised that there would be a “magical trickle down” to poor people. Source: Miami Herald / Getty A few weeks ago Vic Mensa caught the wrath of the internet when he took a subliminal jab at the late XXXTentacion’s history of domestic abuse and the fans who follow him during the 2018 BET Awards Cypher. While facts are facts sometimes fans hate hearing the negative parts of their favorite artists or celebrities especially if it’s unproven allegations. Now Pitchfork is reporting that a newly surfaced tape features the “SAD!” rapper not only talking about beating on his ex-girlfriend, but also stabbing a gang of people in her presence which helped put the fear of God in her. Recorded while in the presence of his friends around the time he was arrested in October of 2016, the tape has X breaking down what led to him assaulting his ex and why she knew he was capable of worse. “I put my source of happiness in another person, which was a mistake initially, right? But she fell through on every occasion until now. Until I started f*cking her up bruh. I started f*cking her up because she made one mistake. And from there, the whole cycle went down. Now she’s scared. That girl is scared for her life. Which I understand.” He later explained why she feared for her life stating, “I’m in the New Times for Stabbing. How many people they put in the news? They said three. It was eight. In Deerfield. She knows that. She seen this sh*t.” Pitchfork was able to get their hands on the disturbing 27-minute tape through the Miami-Dade County state attorney’s office but only made a few minutes of the recording available for public consumption. While everyone is familiar with the charges he caught for putting hands on his ex-girlfriend the stabbing incidents were news to some fans and authorities. On the tape, in addition to the threats against his ex-girlfriend, XXXTentacion also referred to a stabbing incident in Deerfield Beach, Florida, saying, “I’m on[Miami] New Times for stabbing, how many people they put in the news? They said three, it was eight.” (On January 21, 2016, a local Florida newspaper reported that police were “searching for the person who stabbed three people during a fight in Deerfield Beach.” There is no record of anyone being charged with the stabbing, but a Broward County Sheriff’s Office report from the incident states that a witness “saw an unknown black male with tattoos on his face swinging a knife in multiple directions.”) Regardless of XXXTentacion’s very troubled history he has some of the hardest ride or die fans of any artist past or present and though his comments on this tape were disturbing we’re almost certain it won’t change how his millions of followers feel about his legacy. Almost Trumpian in a way. — Photo: Getty
