It takes a lot to surprise Hollywood and those, such as THG, who cover it for a living. But our staff is still rubbing our collective jaw after it slammed to the ground in response to the news that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were filing for divorce . What went wrong for the couple that appeared to happy together on the American Idol finale? Did another man enter the picture ? No, says a source. The split was simply due to “months of nonstop arguing.” As a result of this fighting, “Marc and Jennifer decided it’s best to go their separate ways for the sake of their two kids,” the insider tells People . We haven’t heard much from the former couple since the announcement was made, though Anthony made a reference to being “single” while on stage in Colombia on Saturday. Lopez, meanwhile, was spotted at at Milk Studios in Los Angeles yesterday, shooting an ad campaign for her Kohl’s fashion line. Says this friend; “Jennifer is doing okay,” the source says. “She is, of course, sad that she and Marc didn’t work out, but they both feel they have tried everything.” [Photo: WENN.com]

Lindsay Lohan: A Free Woman!

Look out, every nightclub in Los Angeles: Lindsay Lohan is a free woman. Following 35 days under grueling, sprawling house arrest, the troubled actress had her ankle monitor removed at 10:20 a.m. local time today. At last check, she remained inside her Venice Beach, California condo, but was on her way to fulfill community service obligations at any moment. “I spoke with her yesterday and she told me she is eager to return to fulfilling her community service obligation which she has been unable to perform during house arrest,” Lindsay’s rep tells E! News. It was a difficult month-plus for Lohan, who was stuck inside her $2.25 million estate and forced to give interviews from the comfort of her living room sofa. We have no doubt she’s learned her lesson, scale back on her partying, resurrect her career and… darn. We almost got that out with a straight face. [Photo: WENN.com]

Countess LuAnn de Lesseps Release Music Video for "Chic C’est La Vie," World Groans

We really shouldn’t post this story under our “music” tag. But Countess LuAnn de Lesseps has released the official video for “Chic C’est La Vie,” the track she hopes will ratchet up her non-existent singing career. The Countess received help from from Real Housewives of New York castmates Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon, but couldn’t believe they were the only ones to volunteer. “It was very disappointing that the other ladies wouldn’t be part of it. The other girls didn’t come, they didn’t think it was appropriate. I didn’t want anyone to feel like they were being excluded so I invited everyone. Weird Al Spoofs Lady Gaga in "Perform This Way" Video: First Look!

The music video for Weird Al Yankovic’s much-discussed Lady Gaga parody “Perform This Way” has arrived, and it’s as outlandish as you’d expect. True to form, the lyrics are hilarious and the visuals play off them well, but Lady Gaga provided a unique challenge as far as Al spoof targets go. In order to skewer someone as bombastic as Lady Gaga (this is a woman who wears outfits like these ), a parody has to be REALLY out there! Weird Al – Perform This Way (Official Video) Does Weird Al’s head superimposed on a hot chick’s body qualify, with his geeky dome bobbing horribly (intentionally) out of sync? We’d say so. Weird Al, ironically, has made a career out of this nonsense … and outlasted the careers of many of the people he’s lampooned in this fashion. Gaga doesn’t appear to be a flash in the plan, but if she knows what’s good for her, she’ll adopt Yankovic’s look in a future video of her own. How awesome would that be to bring it full circle.
