J.D. Madison and Thomas Ravenel now have something in common. But it’s not friendship and it’s not a role on Bravo reality series Southern Charm. It’s the fact that each has been accused of sexual assault. We’ve documented in the past how Ravenel has been accused of raping both a nanny and a woman with whom he went on a date a couple years ago. The lead Southern Charm cast member has since announced that he will not be returning for Season 6. Now, People Magazine has confirmed that an incident report was filed in August 25 with the Mount Pleasant Police Department against South Carolina businessman Madison, who is pretty tight with Ravenel. He’s appeared multiple times on Southern Charm as a result. According to legal documents, allegations of rape, sexual assault and involuntary drugging have been leveled against Madison by a South Carolina female, whose name was redacted by authorities. The details are pretty disgusting. The alleged victim told police that the incident in question took place on August 21, 2017. She says that she was with Madison, his male friend and another female friend at her house for a drink prior to heading out to a local bar. While there, she alleges that Madison intentionally broke a glass – and, as she cleaned it up, Madison “slipped a drug” in her already-poured beverage on the counter. The victim says that, after finishing the drink, she fell in and out of consciousness. Later, in the early hours of August 22, the woman says she awoke in the guest bedroom of her home where Madison was “forcibly raping and sodomizing her.” The attack supposedly stopped after Madison received a phone call from his wife. Then there’s this addendum to the story: FITSNews has identified the male with Madison and the alleged victim that night as Jay Schwartz, a local chiropractor. He was arrested on drug charges this same evening. Mount Pleasant are reportedly investigating these charges, while Bravo is yet to issue a comment. The allegations against Madison come three months after allegations of sexual assault were brought against Ravenel by “Nanny Dawn,” who was featured Southern Charm caring for Ravenel’s two children with ex Kathryn Dennis. Another unnamed woman also brought a similar charge against the Wealthy Charleston resident. Ravenel is currently under investigation by South Carolina police. He dropped out of the show this month admist these scandals , defiant in his statement and adamant that only Bravo producers had done anything wrong. “I’m not doing the show anymore,” Ravenel Tweeted, adding: “In the contract they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me. I decided I’ve got too much to lose and informed them I’m not coming back.” This guy sucks so much. And even if J.D. Madison never faces any charges for what he’s accused of above, we feel confident in saying he sucks a lot, too.
It’s been over a month since Demi Lovato suffered a heroin overdose that nearly claimed her life. During that time, the singer has been proactive about seeking the sort of treatment that might prevent her from coming so close to tragedy a second time. These days, Lovato is in rehab, and sources say she’s fully devoted to the hard work of recovery. Not only has Demi checked herself into an in-patient treatment facility in Arizona, she’s also been making regular trips to Chicago to meet with the team of therapists who helped her to get sober for the first time, six years ago. Of course, in some respects, it’s easier for someone in Demi’s position to put everything on hold in order to focus on self-care. After all, most addicts don’t have the luxury of taking months off work and checking into a pricey rehab center. But in other ways, Lovato’s battle with substance abuse is complicated by her wealth and fame. Sources close to the pop star say all the touring and performing made it easier for her to fall back in with the wrong crowd, and it was reportedly one of Demi’s backup dancers who provided her with the drugs on which she overdosed. Now that Demi is taking a break from presiding over a one-woman media empire in order to focus on herself, she has to trust that the people she’s hired will uphold their responsibilities in her absence. And sadly, it seems she may have placed her trust in the wrong people. “Her bodyguards have taken over her house,” a neighbor of Demi’s told Radar Online this week. “They’re the same two men who are with her around-the-clock when she’s home,” the source adds. “They have been living at her house since she was hospitalized. The insider says not only do the men appear to be treating the property as their own, they’ve also invited multiple female guests to join the party. “They’re there and so are two women who are possibly their girlfriends or wives,” the source adds. “Demi must really trust them because these two men have taken over her house completely and haven’t left since she was hospitalized.” Unfortunately, it seems there’s little that can be done about the situation, as Demi placed her trust in her bodyguards, and no one wants to alarm her with reports of their behavior. Farrah Abraham … well, goodness knows she tries. She tries to be eloquent, she tries to be thoughtful, she tries to communicate in a way that makes sense. She just always, always fails . When we see Farrah on Teen Mom OG, she has such trouble expressing herself, and she often misunderstands what other people try to tell her. When we see her do interviews, she really strives to be intelligent and insightful, but that’s just not who she is. That’s not in her skill set . It’s a rare occasion that we have to see something she’s actually written — as you can imagine, that’s an especially tragic experience. And unfortunately, it’s an experience we’re facing today. See, Farrah has been working hard on building up a business for her daughter, Sophia. She’s getting her into acting and modeling, and she recently opened up a children’s boutique for her to “run.” Right now, she’s getting the website for the store up and running, and in doing that, she wrote a nice little thing called “Our Story” for the About section. Well, she tried to make it nice. It didn’t really turn out that way. And that’s because, as it turns out, the girl just is not capable of writing. At all. Farrah’s story begins with “Sophia Laurent is the owner of this celebrity children’s boutique, at age 7 Sophia loves to shop and create for exclusives and awesome toys, clothing and accessories for boys and girls from new born to 12.” It’s not great, but hey, at least we know what she’s trying to say, right? “Sophia was born on MTV Network and her shows continue to be on the network in many other countries Poland, Canada, United Kingdom’s, Africa and much more,” Farrah continues. And that’s where it all falls apart. For one, Africa is not a country. For two, “United Kingdom’s” … United Kingdom’s what? Did she mean to name countries in the United Kingdom? Does she think there are multiple United Kingdoms, and she just got confused with how to make it plural? Oh, honey . She goes on to write “Sophia Laurent believes in every child has a voice and sky is the limit for any child any age and we hope to make every child whom walks in our store feel special like a king or queen.” Right, right. Things are similarly awful for the rest of the story, until Farrah gets to the end, when she … you really just have to see this madness for yourself. “Sophia’s biggest fan her mother Farrah Abraham top female celebrity in our nation continues to grow the inventory, customer service and success of the children’s boutiques plan of expansion. Atrocious grammar aside, does Farrah sincerely believe that she is the “top female celebrity in our nation”? Forget all the huge movie stars, like Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, and Julia Roberts, or newer, immensely popular actresses like Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone. Don’t even think about naming any beloved singers like Taylor Swift or Beyonce. No, the top female celebrity in our nation is for sure, beyond the shadow of a doubt, Farrah Abraham. Katy Perry shocked and delighted us all when she released “Swish Swish,” a fun little song with Nicki Minaj. The song itself is OK, but the real joy comes from the lyrics, which really and truly seem to be about Taylor Swift . The legendary Katy vs. Taylor feud has been going on for years now, all because Taylor thought Katy betrayed her by stealing some backup dancers. Taylor's made several passive aggressive statements about Katy, and she even released a song about her, the super catchy but super petty “Bad Blood.” And now, two years lately, it seems like Katy's responded with “Swish Swish.” You can listen to the song, take in the lyrics and make your own decision about what it's possibly about, but Katy made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, and she was directly asked about the rumor. “'Swish Swish,'” Jimmy began, “is that about anyone we know?” Katy took a moment to gather her thoughts, then responded with “I think it's a great anthem for people to use whenever someone's trying to hold you down or bully you.” Which, it seems, is a good, neutral answer that works better than something like “Yeah, this song is about Taylor Swift, that bitch.” Of course she can't come right out and directly diss Taylor like that, but notice that she definitely doesn't deny that ti's about her. Poor Alan Thicke must be rolling in his grave right now. Just months after his tragic, unexpected death , his family is getting into what’s surely going to be a nasty battle over his fortune. He worked so hard for decades, and for this? What a shame. To recap the situation, Alan’s oldest sons, Brennan and Robin, filed a petition earlier this week , claiming that Alan’s widow, Tanya Callau, is trying to get more money than what was left to her. Alan had a living trust that left his home, a ranch in California, to his sons, with the specification that Tanya could continue living there as long as she paid for maintenance on the property. He left 60% of his estate to be split between his three sons, with the remaining 40% going to Tanya. He also left the money from his life insurance policy, as well as his pension, to her. But according to the petition, that’s not enough for Tanya. The documents claim that Alan’s widow is now saying that there are problems with the trust, as well as with the prenup she signed eleven years ago. Because of that, and because she has rights to the ranch, and also because she put her own career aside to support Alan, she wants to reevaluate the trust. Brennan and Robin also claim that Tanya threatened to go to the tabloids if they didn’t agree to her demands. It’s pretty nasty, and it’s only getting nastier. Tanya has already gone to the media, telling TMZ that she’s not, as so many believe now, a gold digger, and that she and Alan were actually planning on having a baby before he died. But she’s not done yet … and her new statement is pretty darn scandalous. According to a statement Tanya’s lawyer made, she’s the good guy in this situation — and Alan’s sons are the ones with the bad intentions. “Since Alan died,” the statement reads, “his sons have been haranguing her to let them turn America’s dad’s homestead into a massive pot plantation.” “When she said no, they filed this bogus lawsuit and smeared her in the tabloids. They’re just trying to bully a woman whose only crime is loving their father with everything she had for 17 years.” Yeah, so go ahead and let that sink in for a moment. It’s just interesting because when we first heard this news, it wasn’t because Alan’s sons were going to the media, it was because they filed the petition in court. They still haven’t made any sort of public statement. But Tanya has been speaking to multiple outlets, and now she’s trying to say that the whole issue began because she didn’t want Brennan and Robin to use the family home to grow marijuana? Without knowing the full situation, it kind of seems like she’s going to the tabloids like the original petition suggested she might, doesn’t it? But, you know, not making statements about how your dead husband’s sons want to use the family home to grow drugs might help a little.
