Chad Johnson Finances: Still Better Than Yours!

Chad Johnson was cut by the Miami Dolphins this season and may never see an NFL field again; his wife, Evelyn Lozada , also divorced him after two months. His life sort of sucks right now, but give him credit for one thing: Making $66,000 a month in”self-employment, partnerships, and/or independent contracts.” That’s right, no NFL salary and he’s still raking it in. Johnson filed paperwork in his ongoing child support fight with one of his baby mamas, according to TMZ, listing $1.28 million in real estate assets. Combine that with $600,000 in cars, $75,000 worth of furniture, $40,000 in jewelry and most importantly, no debt, and he’s as solvent as an NFL star gets. As for expenses, he shells out over $16,000 a month in child support (for another baby mama) $5,000 monthly on entertainment and $3,500 on clothes.  Finally, $1,000 on pet expenses and $250 on personal “grooming” … whatever that means. In any case, he’s still running a profit, which is good to see. At least some athlete understands this concept.

Chick-fil-A Employee Bullied By Douchebag in Epic Activism Fail

Whatever side you’re on in the ongoing Chick-fil-A controversy, or how you feel about same sex marriage, we can all agree on one thing: The dude in this video sucks . Some douchebag big shot – a former corporate CFO and lecturer whose name we haven’t posted here – apparently thought he’d make some grand political statement about the chain’s controversial stance on gay marriage . All he ended up doing was harassing some poor girl working the Chick-fil-A drive-thru, though. She deserves credit for conducting herself with such poise, and proving that no matter what you believe, an a$$hole is an a$$hole. Watch the spectacular activism fail at the Tucson, Ariz., store below:

ChitChatter: Michael Jackson’s Nanny Speaks Out Against The Family Fighting, Paris Vs. Janet, And Gladys Knight’s 2 Pennies!

We have a feeling that the Jackson family drama is gonna get worse before it gets better… Michael Jackson’s Nanny Grace Rwaramba Speaks Out Against Family In-Fighting According to RadarOnline : Michael Jackson’s long time nanny, Grace Rwaramba, is speaking out about the ongoing Jackson family drama, telling RadarOnline.com exclusively that the recent turmoil is exactly what the late singer had tried so hard to protect his three children from while he was alive. Grace began working for Jackson in 1997, and continued to work on and off for the King of Pop for the next decade, including after he tragically died in 2009. In an exclusive statement to RadarOnline.com, Grace says, “Everyone knows that Michael went to great lengths to protect his children from the public eye. While the use of veils and masks was unconventional, it only highlights how important this issue was to him. He understood, probably better than anyone, that growing up as a public figure, especially in the entertainment industry can be disaster…The recent drama surrounding Michael’s mother, Katherine, the ongoing custody issues and now the public dispute between Paris and Janet is exactly what Michael wanted to protect his children from. These matters have been further complicated by Gladys Knight and others recent and well intentioned comments about Paris. I have great respect and admiration for Mrs. Knight. And while I agree with the spirit of her comments, attacking Paris in public is not the answer.” The nanny goes on to ask for the public’s mercy on Michael’s daughter, Paris. Rwaramba asks that the public be fair to Paris Jackson and “give her a chance to make and learn from her mistakes without demonizing her. She is a spirited, very expressive and dramatic young girl. The traits that made her the apple of her father’s eye are the same traits that she must learn to control as she matures into adulthood. Let’s be careful not to dim her spirit. It breaks my heart to think that Paris and her brothers could become the subject of endless criticism for simply being kids. Michael loved his children very much. He gave them tools that they will need to become good and decent individuals. I am confident that in time, Paris and her brothers will learn that their family loves and wants what’s best for them. Until then, please take her tweets with a grain of salt. No child should have 700,000 followers on Twitter or any other social media platform.” Rwaramba makes a good point. Paris Jackson will lead a life in the public eye, and without her father’s protection she’s probably going to learn how cold the world is as she makes mistakes. Hopefully she doesn’t end up like Maia Campbell. Sweet baby Jesus. Image via Instagram

About That Time Stephen Baldwin Allegedly Tried to Blackmail Kevin Costner…

The AP reports on the ongoing courtroom drama between actor/reality TV personality/bankrupt Republican Stephen Baldwin and actor/musician/celebrity investor Kevin Costner , which took a turn for the salacious this week when a witness testified that Baldwin had transpired to “blackmail” Costner over a sum of $21 million involving the pair’s interests in ocean clean-up technology, of all things, following the 2010 BP oil spill. “I said, ‘Stephen, that’s blackmail,'” [business associate Scott Smith] recalled. He quoted Baldwin as saying, “I have to be careful how I do it.” And to think, it all started when the Bio-Dome and Waterworld stars joined forces in the name of the environment … [AP via Fox News ]

Morgan Spurlock on His New Doc Mansome — and the Star Who Could Stand to Tweeze

Gone are the days of callouses and carpenter pants. Today, men are rocking skinny jeans and moccasins as they treat themselves to spa days, having no shame in getting waxed, tweezed, manicured and/or exposed to other meticulous grooming techniques. This ongoing — and slightly horrifying — “manscaping” trend is spreading throughout America and beyond, and Morgan Spurlock (along with executive producers Ben Silverman, Will Arnett and Jason Bateman) captured it all in their world premiere Tribeca documentary, Mansome . The film highlights everything from elite beardsmen (yes, it’s a sport) to wrestlers’ full-body shaving, but mostly focuses on candid interviews with some familiar Hollywood men. Movieline caught up with director Spurlock at the film’s premiere over the weekend, chatting about everything from the ongoing “manocolypse” to the Oscar-nominee’s top five manscaping tips. When you think of the manscaping trend, who comes to mind in Hollywood? Zach Galifianakis! That’s why we called him first. How much grooming does he do? None — that’s why he was perfect. You think of someone like a David Beckham, you know; you think of somebody like that. We immediately thought of Scott Ian from Anthrax because he’s been shaving around that crazy beard his whole life, and he’s one of the first people I called. You think of like these kind of perfect-looking actors and actresses, many of which wouldn’t talk to us, simply because they didn’t want to get into it. In reference to some of those guys, do you think that kind of seal look is good for anyone? Well, it seems to be good for Seal, I don’t know — it seems to work out! I feel like if you’re going to commit yourself, like really going for it, then you might as well go for it. I’m not quite that guy. I wasn’t even talking about Seal the musician — I was talking about a seal, like the body slickness of a fully-waxed man… Oh, like when they seal it all in? No, that’s not for me. What was the most exciting part about working with this group of men? Had you ever worked with them before? I had never worked with Will or Jason; I’d never worked with any of the guys in the film. I had met a lot of them and had said that I’d love to work with them sometime. When we called Zach for the film, he jumped at the chance. He said “Absolutely — come meet me at my place in North Carolina!” And he was great. I’ve been such a fan of Judd Apatow for so long, and Paul Rudd, so to have those guys to come in was great. And the characters that we follow in the film — Jack Passion, Shawn Daivari, Ricky [Manchanda] — to have these guys open their lives to us, to let us kind of follow them through these like manscaping rituals, you gotta be a brave guy; you gotta be really courageous to kind of open yourself up like that. I think we had really cool, courageous guys who realized that we were going to make a fun, funny film. Why do you think now was the right time to make this movie? You know, we’re in the midst of a manocolypse! We gotta help figure out what we need to do to help define masculinity today! What do you think are the top five things in the manscaping world? Well, there’s a lot of waxing; a lot of hairy guys waxing is a big one. Grooming is also a big one — making sure you shave your face or cut your hair. There’s a lot of guys with big caterpillar eyebrows… Peter Gallagher? Peter Gallagher may want to take a little something to the middle of that; it’s okay to do that these days. You don’t want to have the unibrow — not so en vogue anymore. I think you don’t want to have a bunch of grimey fingernails; I don’t ever want to see a guy with big, dirty fingernails. Unless you’re like a coal miner or you’re digging a ditch somewhere and that’s your job — like “I dig ditches” or “I dig mud all day! That’s what I do.” — you can’t just go around all day with scrub in there. Do you think women are more attracted to men that manscape? I think that what attracts you initially is how you look. I think ultimately you are attracted to someone at first because of “X,” no matter what it is; there’s something about those pheromones that they’re sending out, and you want them, for whatever reason that is. And then you start to understand who they are and what they’re about, and you continue to stay attracted to them once you peel back the layers. But I do think that we are a judgmental society, and you want to be attracted to them first. But then once you start to talk to them, then you realize, “Wow, you are a completely terrible, shallow person. I don’t want to be around you anymore.” And then you realize that what really matters is all the stuff that’s in here. [Points to head] All the pretty people that I’ve gone out with aren’t the pretty people that I’ve stayed with; I’ve usually stayed with people that have much more to offer from the inside. Is that the advice that you’re going to give to your son? I’m going to tell my son, “Marry the most ugly woman that you can — she’s going to be the best to you of all time.” Read all of Movieline’s Tribeca 2012 coverage here .
