WTF? Student Parades Around L.A. School As KKK Imperial Wizard In Teacher-Approved History Project

Stock Image by Getty Student Dressed As Racist Ku Klux Klan Wizard Causes Upset A Los Angeles Unified School District student dressed as a member of the Ku Klux Klan for a school project, and students say they don’t understand why the teacher approved the decision. According to ABC7 , photos posted to social media show the unnamed kid dressed head to toe as a KKK member on Friday. Reportedly, the student wearing the garb is a freshman who chose to write about Hiram Wesley Evans, a former imperial wizard of the KKK, for his history project. That student decided to wear a costume representing the racist leader. Other students also dressed in costumes reflecting their chosen historical figure as well,  folks say this specific one was out of line. “He wore it like throughout the school, like in nutrition, lunch, things like that. I don’t think that’s appropriate,” said Lance Dantignac, a rising senior at the school. “It made me feel like unsafe and threatened,” said Eliza Dumag, another rising senior. And get this, the teacher said it was OK…because The Klan and The Black Panther Party are equal… “It kind of rattled me. It was hard to believe that she would allow a klansman to walk around from her approval. So, we asked her, and she said that, she compared the Klan to the Black Panther Party, which in my opinion are two different things,” said Trinity Young, a rising senior. “So yeah, it was troubling.” Meanwhile, LAUSD released a statement, saying in part: “L.A. Unified and Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy understand the extreme sensitivity around this issue and do not condone or support this type of re-enactment.” The district statement also included an apology to the LAUSD community. It said an investigation is now underway, and that the district and school both are committed to supporting diversity.

Random AF: Pete Davidson Called THIS Celebrity To Get Advice Before Asking Ariana Grande To Marry Him

Image via VALERIE MACON/AFP/Alison Hale/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images Pete Davidson Asked For Advice Before Proposing To Ariana Grande Pete Davidson must have had a lil trepidation about popping the big question to his brand new girlfriend Ariana Grande. According to Entertainment Tonight , he made a phone call to an unlikely celebrity who could relate to his post-haste engagement to get their opinion. Nick Cannon. “He called before he was going to do it, and I said, ‘Salud!’” Cannon shared. “He was really excited, so I was like, ‘I love it, man. Keep it going.’ Love is in the air!” In reality, it isn’t random that Pete called Nick, they go way back. “I used to have a radio show in NYC in the mornings and this kid called in one day, 15 years old and said, ‘I want to open up for you doing stand-up.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, all right, tell me a joke.’ He told me a joke and I was like, ‘This kid is pretty funny’… I took him on the road with me,” he explained. “Unbeknownst to me, even at that time, I didn’t know about his history, that his father passed away on 9/11 and then just watched this young man have all of this weight on his shoulders and then just become this outstanding, hilarious young individual.” And as we stated before, Nick’s marriage to Mariah Carey is similar to what Pete is about to do with Ariana. “I don’t think [there’s such thing as too soon],” Cannon said. “But I’m a hopeless romantic, or as I say, a fearless romantic. I just like to jump into it, and sometimes it can get you in trouble, but it makes for some great stories.” Thing is, Nick’s marriage didn’t make to “til death do us part”. Maybe there was a better person to call, we’re just sayin’.

Iggy Azalea is Wet of the DAy

Iggy Azalea in all her fake as fuck glory, from a fake story, to getting as sleazy as she can to be seen as hot as she can by the people who don’t seem to find her disgusting like me – but instead like to help perpetuate her scam and make her all the money she doesn’t deserve…. That’s my opinion on it, but when you find your angle fucking use that angle until you can’t use it no more because ever bitch from a fat chick to an even fatter chick has a fucking angle…whether it is close up clit pic, or anus pic, it don’t matter – when they find what works…ride it harder than you rode that record exec to get your work visa – trick…

Kara Del Toro Will Blow Your Pants Off

I’ve always loved  Kara Del Toro . She’s not as famous as the Hadids or the Jenners, but in my opinion, she’s way hotter. Anyway, I know Kara may not be the biggest name in the modeling world (yet), but here’s hoping that changes after this latest Tuna Bump. Not because it’ll mean we’ll get see more of her, but because maybe that way I can finally convince her that hooking up with a pasty blogger could help her career. Fingers crossed!

Wendy Williams Has A Long History Of Being Beyoncé’s Biggest Hater

Read more:

Source: Michael Loccisano / Getty Wendy Williams has made a whole career out of being shady, but every once in a while she takes bad mouthing celebrities a step too far—especially where Beyoncé is concerned. Just today, for example, she shared her opinion on Fergie ‘s All-Star Weekend “Star Spangled Banner” fail and somehow ended up shading Bey in the process. It’s starting to feel like Wendy will take any and every opportunity to needlessly come for Yoncé. The question is: why? Maybe ratings? Listed below is just SOME  of what the talk show host has had to say about Bey and her family in recent times. You’ll find that even when Wendy’s stanning for the queen, there’s no shortage of backhanded compliments. 1. 2012: That Time Wendy Mocked The Way Beyoncé Speaks… “I am a Beyoncé fan. I’m gonna be watching this documentary, even if she doesn’t introduce us to new stuff…fortunately one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed captioning so I’ll be able to understand what she says. You know Beyoncé can’t talk, you all. Beyoncé sounds like she has a fifth grade education. She can’t talk. Excuse me? I just said I’m a fan, but we have to call a spade a spade. I mean, honestly. We really do have the closed captioning just for times like that,” she said on The Wendy Williams Show. 2.  2014: These Were Her Hopeful Yet Cynical Comments About The Carters Potentially Divorcing… “They’re reportedly trying to figure out a way to split without divorcing—in other words, a hood divorce,” Wendy commented as her audience erupted with laughter. Later, she adds “I do think, though, that they are vain enough that when the love is over…that they will not divorce because they’re scared of what we’re gonna say.” 3. 2016: Wendy Needlessly Criticized Beyoncé’s Lemonade Timing… “I wish that Beyoncé held off on this whole album, ’til Prince… until this entire weekend blew over,” she said to her audience. She went on to speak about the “Becky With The Good Hair” drama involving Rachel Roy, accusing the Carters of having had Roy on their payroll. 4. Present Day Hateration: Wendy Says Beyoncé Needs Auto-tune “There are only a few people who can sing raw dog and Fergie is not one, she needs autotune,” Wendy commented. “Jen Lopez needs autotune, Janet needs autotune, Beyoncé needs autotune…” she added as her audience gasps in disbelief, as if to ask “She can’t be talking about the same Beyoncé we’re thinking about, right?” See below. Lemme guess, you’re just “keeping it real,” right Wendy?

Ellen Pompeo Basically Tells Patrick Dempsey to Suck It

Ellen Pompeo is having a moment. Ellen Pompeo has actually been having a whole bunch of moments over a whole bunch of years… and she’s here to remind you about them. The veteran actress has given a very revealing interview to The Hollywood Reporter in which she delves into a number of issues, from sexism … to her future on Grey’s Anatomy… to her opinion of Patrick Dempsey. And let’s just tease the final point with this: Pompeo does not appear to think very highly of her former co-star. For starters, Pompeo said Dempsey’s decision to leave the series in 2015 was a “defining” moment for her in terms of contract negotiations. We’ll let her explain why: “[ABC] could always use him as leverage against me – ‘We don’t need you; we have Patrick’ – which they did for years,” she explains, holding nothing back and adding: “I don’t know if they also did that to him, because he and I never discussed our deals. There were many times where I reached out about joining together to negotiate, but he was never interested in that. “At one point, I asked for $5,000 more than him just on principle, because the show is Grey’s Anatomy and I’m Meredith Grey. “They wouldn’t give it to me. And I could have walked away, so why didn’t I? It’s my show; I’m the number one. I’m sure I felt what a lot of these other actresses feel: “Why should I walk away from a great part because of a guy? You feel conflicted but then you figure, “I’m not going to let a guy drive me out of my own house.'” Pretty interesting, huh? It doesn’t sound like Dempsey was interesting in joining forces with his long-time colleague. This is in opposition, let’s say, to back in the day when the entire cast of Friends refused to film unless they also received the same pay raise. Dempsey’s Derek Shepherd was eventually written off the show… but it wasn’t long until Martin Henderson was added to the cast as a new love interest. “So, what does it look like when he leaves the show?” Pompeo asks, elaborating as follows: “First, it looks like a ratings spike, and I had a nice chuckle about that. But the truth is, the ink wasn’t even dry on his exit papers before they rushed in a new guy. “I was on vacation in Sicily, decompressing – it was a long working relationship and it was a tumultuous end and I needed a moment to just chill with some rosé – and they’re calling me, going, “What do you think of this guy?” “What do you think of this guy?” “And they’re sending pictures. “I was like, “Are you people f-cking nuts? Why do you feel that you have to replace this person?” “I couldn’t believe how fast the studio and the network felt like they had to get a penis in there. We brought in Martin Henderson, but they didn’t love the storyline, so that ended.” Again: interesting stuff, huh? Through all of the many cast changes on Grey’s Anatomy, Pomeo remains. And she isn’t going anywhere any time soon: The star just signed a new, two-year deal that will pay her approximately $20 million per year. This pretty much guarantees Grey’s Anatomy will stay on the air at least through Season 16. To conclude her cover story with The Hollywood Reporter, Pompeo turned her attention to the #MeToo movement and the ongoing shift in Hollywood. She’s proud of everything going on at the moment and she hopes she can play a role in it. “I don’t believe the only solution is more women in power, because power corrupts,” says Pompeo. “It’s not necessarily a man or a woman thing. But there should be more of us women in power, and not just on Shonda Rhimes’ sets. “Look, I only have a 12th-grade education and I wasn’t a great student, but I’ve gotten an education here at Shondaland. “And now my 8-year-old daughter gets to come here and see fierce females in charge. She loves to sit in the director’s chair with the headphones on yelling “Action” and “Cut.” “She’s growing up in an environment where she’s completely comfortable with power. “I don’t know any other environment in Hollywood where I could provide that for her. Now I hope that changes … and soon.” View Slideshow: 27 Top Grey’s Anatomy Couples: RANKED!

Clock Out Creeps: Time’s Up Legal Fund Established To Defend All Women From Overly Aggressive Overtures

(Gabriel Olsen/WireImage) Celebrity Women Show Solidarity Across All Industries With Announcement Of Time’s Up If you hadn’t already noticed, the ladies of Hollywood have officially gotten into formation , kicking off 2018 with January 21 announcements (along with ads in The New York Times and La Opinion) revealing that some 300 powerful Hollywood women have vowed solidarity with women across all industries who have suffered sexual harassment, abuse and pay inequality. More importantly, one of the main objectives of the initiative is to raise money ($15 million is the goal, with over $13 million already raised) to fund legal representation for the women who will need it most. Along with social media posts from some of the most famous actresses and directors in the business, the website for the initative published an open letter that acknowledged how the revelations about Harvey Weinstein and other alleged creeps helped bring attention to the problem, while admitting it was mainly when the actresses involved received a letter of solidarity from the Alianza Nacional de Campesinas (the National Farmworker Women’s Alliance) that they knew something bigger must be done. “It’s very hard for us to speak righteously about the rest of anything if we haven’t cleaned our own house,” Shonda Rhimes, the executive producer of the television series “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How to Get Away With Murder,” who has been closely involved with the group, told the NY Times “If this group of women can’t fight for a model for other women who don’t have as much power and privilege, then who can?” Ms. Rhimes continued. Other Time’s Up members include the actresses Ashley Judd, Eva Longoria, America Ferrera, Natalie Portman, Rashida Jones, Emma Stone, Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon; the showrunner Jill Soloway; Donna Langley, chairwoman of Universal Pictures; the lawyers Nina L. Shaw and Tina Tchen, who served as Michelle Obama’s chief of staff; and Maria Eitel, an expert in corporate responsibility who is co-chairwoman of the Nike Foundation. “People were moved so viscerally,” said Ms. Eitel, who helps moderate Time’s Up meetings, which began in October. “They didn’t come together because they wanted to whine, or complain, or tell a story or bemoan. They came together because they intended to act. There was almost a ferociousness to it, especially in the first meetings.” Time’s up is run by volunteers, there is no formal leader. The initiative is also formed by several groups, including one which oversaw the creation of a commission, led by Anita Hill which is working towards making a blueprint for ending sexual harassment in entertainment. There’s another group called 50/50by2020 which is pushing entertainment organizations and companies to agree to reach gender parity in their leadership tiers within two years. Lena Waithe is working with yet another organization to ensure minorities and gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people are heard. “No one wants to look back and say they stood at the sidelines,” said Lena Waithe, a star of the Netflix series “Master of None” and part of that working group. Time’s Up is also urging women to wear black at this Sunday’s Golden Globes, and to use the red carpet as an opportunity to speak out about gender and racial inequality and to raise awareness about the initiative. This is HUGE… We urge you to read the messages from Time’s up below and to read the open letter on their website BECAUSE this is truly an issue that affects ALL of us. More messages from some of our favorites in entertaiment when you continue.
