The hardest working woman in showbiz is back to work after a brief hiatus. After relieving Christina Norman as CEO of her OWN network, Oprah tweeted a pic of herself in her new office digs in L.A. “Here I am “CEO-ing” in my new office at OWN in LA!!” Winfrey’s channel, which went live in January, has struggled to build ratings despite hundreds of millions of dollars spent on programming and promotion. Oprah and Maria Shriver had dinner last night at Spago. They caused their own mini riot when they left the restaurant. Maria’s son Christopher was with them as well. Nice to see Christopher healthy after his recent surfing injuries.

Christina Norman, head of the four-month old Oprah Winfrey Network, has been dismissed. According to the NY Times , Peter Liguori, the chief operating officer for Discovery Communications, will take over the channel on an interim basis. Mr. Ligouri’s appointment is effective immediately and will likely last into the fall, if not longer. 25 Women To Know: Christina Norman In an e-mail message to the staff at OWN on Friday, Ms. Winfrey said that Ms. Norman’s “hard work, passion and leadership were instrumental in getting OWN on the air,” but added, “Given all that we have to do, the OWN Board felt it was necessary that we have a different kind of leadership in place for the next phase of OWN’s growth.” We are huge fans of Christina Norman, and we’re sure she’ll be back doing big things in the near future! You know you were hoping for this when you got up today. Simon van Kempen just joined an exclusive club – Countess LuAnn, Danielle Staub and Kim Zolciak are members – of Bravo cast members who put out music. We’d say sing, but he doesn’t really do that (nor do they). At least in Simon’s case, The Real Housewives of New York City star seems to be going for humor. Author James Frey is returning to the scene of his public evisceration by Oprah Winfrey five years ago. The rematch will be one of O’s final episodes. Frey was simply CRUSHED by Oprah in 2006 when she found out he made up a ton of details in his hugely popular memoir, A Million Little Pieces . According to reports, Frey will return to the show and will talk with Oprah about how his life was affected by the scandal over the past five years. No word on when Frey’s episode is scheduled to run . Oprah taking Frey to task earned some of her biggest ratings in history, and clearly did not make the author look good. Will his return involve similar fireworks?

A tidy $1.4 million. “It’s an incredible house. Taylor’s been visiting her parents there and she’s so excited for them,” says a source, who adds that Swift visited recently. Kirstie Alley does not hold back. The 60-year-old Dancing With the Stars maverick took another sexy turn yesterday – this time on Oprah, where she and Maksim Chmerkovskiy appeared. Kirstie and her DWTS partner appeared on the talk show as part of O’s big Bloopers, Blunders and Funniest Moments episode. They delivered a classic: Kirstine Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Oprah They wowed the crowd – including Cee Lo Green – with some slick moves and obvious chemistry. Then Kirstie tore off Maks’ shirt to thunderous applause. Kirstie fell during the rumba two weeks ago, then lost a shoe this week, But she says mishaps and all, she’s found doing the punishing show cathartic. “It’s sort of given me my confidence back,” she said. “It’s amazing.” Hopefully she keeps rocking on DWTS for many weeks to come.

President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle will appear together on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in May, as the TV chat show queen nears the end of her 25-year reign. The White House and publicists for the daily TV show said on Tuesday the Obamas would tape their appearance in Chicago on April 27, and the show will air on May 2. Publicists said it would be the Obamas’ first joint appearance on “Oprah” since 2006. Winfrey, regarded as the most influential woman on U.S. television, campaigned publicly for Obama in his 2008 run for the White House and helped raise millions of dollars for his campaign. She has interviewed Obama several times in the past, both before and after his election. Winfrey announced last year that she would end her popular syndicated TV show, which airs in some 140 countries, in order to focus on her new cable TV channel OWN, which launched in January.
