Bret Michaels: Recovering from Emergency Appendectomy

Bret Michaels is no strangers to doctors. Typically when he schedules an appointment to see them, however, it’s due to a burning sensation when he urinates. That wasn’t the case on Sunday night, as the rocker couldn’t make it through a concert in San Antonio. He was rushed to the hospital with stomach pains and underwent an emergency appendectomy. Fortunately, all went smoothly. Bret “remains in the hospital, is doing well and beginning the recovery process,” his rep says. He can resume inappropriate duets with 17-year olds some time in the near future. While the former Poison frontman “has been known to perform under extreme conditions,” his rep added, the insider also said his client will “have no choice but to reschedule some of his April tour dates.” Michaels is looking at bed rest over the next few days. But lying between the sheets, in an uncomfortable position, is nothing new for the singer. There’s just a promiscuous, drunk female underneath him most times.

Shia LaBeouf Excited About ‘Wall Street 2’

Transformers star Shia LaBeouf says he’s “so excited” to be starring in his new movie Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps . LaBeouf, 23, stars alongside Michael Douglas , Susan Sarandon and Martin Sheen in the sequel to the 1987 classic and says he is over the moon to have landed a role in the flick in an interview with the UK’s Glamour magazine. “I’ve never been so excited about anything in my life. I’m sure that I was the only person in the cast who had not been Academy Award nominated, so it was very scary showing up on set. I felt that people were thinking: ‘He’s just here because his name gets financing for a movie. When I first met Oliver, I told him all my fears. Over the next three months he took all of my insecurities and turned them on me and used me like a marionette puppet. I needed that, it made me a better actor.” We don’t care how many Oscar nominations that cast has, the movie is going to be severely underwhelming.

New Health Care Bill Pros and Cons: New Health Care Bill Explained by Obama

New Health Care Bill Pros and Cons: New Health Care Bill Explained by Obama – This is indeed a good news for some people that they think they will benefit a lot from the new health care bill and pros and cons. This is the new health care bill explained the US President Barack Obama in his latest speech in public. For the first pro you can think that the government will be spending a lot more money on health care rather than on other less important things like defense and wartime spending and this is all the money of the tax payer, I mean if the act of giving tax can’t even provide you with basic health services then it’s a sign that your taxes aren’t being used properly. In short, the reconciliation package increases the federal commitment to health care over the next decade (e.g., by rolling back the excise tax on expensive insurance plans that’s in the Senate bill) but then brings it down in the future (e.g., by ramping up the excise tax beyond the ten year window). People needed it and so despite stiffest opposition from Republicans who were prepared to go to any length to scuttle the bill. The bill that was passed 219 to 212 will bring a phenomenal change in the lives of ordinary Americans for whom healthcare safety is merely a dream. Congressional Budget Office releases its analysis of health care bill.

Comprehensive health care reform will cost the federal government $940 billion over a ten-year period, but will increase revenue and cut other costs by a greater amount, leading to a reduction of $130 billion in the federal deficit over the same period, according to an analysis by the Congressional Budget Office, a Democratic source tells HuffPost. It will cut the deficit by $1.2 trillion over the next ten years. The source said it also extends Medicare’s solvency by at least 9 years and reduces the rate of its growth by 1.4 percent, while closing the doughnut hole for seniors, meaning there will no longer be a gap in coverage of medication. The CBO also estimated it would extend coverage to 32 million additional people. The CBO score is the last piece House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was waiting on before putting the puzzle together on the House floor. A contingent of Blue Dogs has been holding out support, insisting that the bill be fully paid for and not increase the deficit. The numbers give a major boost to Pelosi and her leadership team, which can now begin the whip count in earnest and can specifically point to the cost savings. (You can read more of this article on the Huffington Post .) Personally I am impressed that the bill does as much as it does.
