It’s been awhile since we heard from Ted Nugent. The outspoken, gun-loving rock legend is at it again, railing against President Barack Obama via a recent interview with Guns (dot) com … seriously. Nugent, who met with the Secret Service in 2012 after basically threatening Obama , accuses him of being a communist sympathizer and worse. Watch: Ted Nugent on Obama “He is an evil, dangerous man who hates America and hates freedom, and we need to fix this as soon as possible,” he said at a gun trade show in Vegas. Much of Nugent’s concern stems from the president’s recent push for tighter gun laws , though, really, Nugent can find concern almost anywhere. “I’m part of a very great experiment in self-government where we the people determine our own pursuit of happiness and our own individual freedom and liberty,” he said. “Not to be confused with the Barack Obama gang who believes in we the Sheeple and is attempting to re-implement the tyranny of King George that we escaped from in 1776.” ”If you want another Concord Bridge, I got some buddies.” This is not the first time we’ve heard that 1776 will commence again if gun control regulations are strengthened, but to Ted, it almost goes beyond that. “The President of the United States goes to the Vietnam Memorial Wall and pretends to honor 58,000 American heroes who died fighting communism,” Ted laments. “Then he hires, appoints, and associates with communists. He pretends to pay honor to men who died fighting communism, then he hangs out with, hires, and appoints communists.” What do you think? Is Barack Obama a communist? Yes, he wants to take away freedom! No, people are ignorant morons! View Poll » Is it time for tighter gun regulations? YES. Fewer guns, fewer tragedies! NO. Score another point for Manti Te’o in his battle to prove that he had nothing to do with fooling America into thinking he had a girlfriend. In an interview with People , Alexandra del Pilar – who dated the Notre Dame linebacker for two months in late 2012 – says Te’o often referenced Lennay Kekua and acted every bit like someone who believed she died of leukemia on September 12. “Lennay was often brought up in conversation,” Del Pilar says . “I wanted to know about her, and how they did the long distance. He definitely [loved her].” Del Pilar went on to say she was drawn to Te’o due to his focus on “family.” “That’s what drew us together,” she explained. She also confirmed that Te’o really did receive a phone call in early December from someone claiming to be Kekua, saying she faked her own death. “I was sick to my stomach. I cried,” she says of when Te’o told her what had happened. “Nothing made sense. But since he didn’t understand it either, he told me everything he knew. “I just felt completely sorry for him because he was being accused of things he had no idea about. People were quick to jump on who he is as a person – especially after all the praise they had given him for everything he did at Notre Dame.” In a released snippet of his interview with Katie Couric, Te’o admits to lying about his girlfriend in a pair of discussions with reporters because he had just received the confusing December phone call and had no idea how to react.
For someone attracted to women, Ellen DeGeneres sure has a thing for naked men. After surprising Miley Cyrus with a stripper-based bachelorette party late last year, the talk show host has done it again for NeNe Leakes. Considering The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member was once an exotic dancer herself, Ellen figured it only made sense to offer up the engagement surprise of several half-naked men. Watch them bump, grind and dance around Leakes now: NeNe Leakes, Strippers Appear on Ellen
Kate Middleton’s portrait painter is speaking out in defense of his highly criticized, much maligned and often memed illustration of the Duchess of Cambridge. After receiving less-than-glowing reviews (to put it mildly), Paul Emsley revealed to Hello! that he and his family were upset by some of the negative feedback. Considering the Kate Middleton portrait was the biggest commission of his career, “I’d be inhuman if I said it didn’t affect me,” the award-winning artist said. “When you take on commissions like this, it is hazardous and you absolutely expect a bit of flak, but I expected nothing like the criticism I have received.” “I didn’t expect it to go to the levels it did.” While Kate told reporters she thought the painting was just “brilliant,” more than a few media outlets and fans of the royals were far less glowing. The near universal reaction was that it made the gorgeous Duchess look older and duller than her 31 years; even more unflattering, hilarious memes followed. After spending four months on it, Emsley likened the disparagement his work received to a “witch hunt” and “circus” that took an emotional toll on his family. “At first the attacks were so personal and vicious that there was a point where I doubted that the portrait of the duchess was any good,” he confesses. However, “now I’ve had time to reflect on it, I am still happy with it and am getting on with my life. There is nothing I would have changed,” he said. The 65-year-old painter suggested that perhaps the portrait doesn’t photograph well … which would be ironic in that there are like no bad Kate Middleton pics . What do you think of the Kate Middleton portrait? Stunning! It’s okay I guess? Stunning … ly bad View Poll »

You can’t be serious … Anti-Obama Artist Creates Runaway Slave Painting Jon McNaughton, an anti- Obama artist notorious for his slanderous political paintings, is back with another creation just in time for next week’s elections. Via Huffingtonpost : Titled “Runaway Slave,” the work depicts conservative figure Rev. C.L. Bryant, the man who recently produced a documentary by the same name on the alleged bondage of black Americans under liberal governments. McNaughton described his controversial painting on his website: “This painting is a beacon to all Americans, to free yourselves from the government bondage that enslaves your very soul. Be free of the old taskmaster that will offer you all the comforts if you will but do his bidding. Rise up and be great in the sight of God!” This is how you get attention as an artist when you have no artistic ability. ‘I just wanted to make this to show words don’t mean anything,’ B tells MTV News of polarizing title. By Rob Markman Lil B I’m Gay cover art Photo: Amalgam Digital Lil B is proud to be gay — or rather he’s proud to be happy, as stated on his new album cover, which he revealed Wednesday (June 15) exclusively on “RapFix Live.” After announcing that he will be titling his next album I’m Gay, the Based God received criticism from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and other rappers and even got death threats from fans . But despite all the hoopla, B’s album isn’t quite as alarming as many suspected it would be. The cover — which was done by the “Wonton Soup” rapper’s artist friend Uncle Grumpy — was made from scratch but based off of a 1970s Ernie Barnes painting titled “Sugar Shack.” The famous painting was used in the popular ’70s sitcom “Good Times” and as the album cover to Marvin Gaye’s 1976 album I Want You. Rap group Camp Lo also threw a nod to the classic work on their 1997 debut Uptown Saturday Night. The Based God, however, put a 2011 spin on the painting, which depicted a club scene that reflected one of Barnes’ childhood experiences. B took the painting and broke it down into three parts, showing the steps that people need to take to reach “mental freedom.” “Pretty much the album cover, you see it’s the three sides of the slavery, mental slavery and mental freedom at the ending where everybody is happy,” B said to MTV News. “The reason why I did the I’m Gay album, I really seen that the hip-hop community is being very close-minded and very hateful, very violent.” The Berkeley, California, rapper feels that his polarizing album title will help take the sting out of the word “gay” and eventually lead to global acceptance. “People use evil words, money, separation, stuff like that. I just wanted to make this to show words don’t mean anything,” he said. What do you think of B’s album cover? Let us know in the comments! Gaga’s latest clip mixes the sacred with the profane and includes a nod to Marlon Brandon too — here are all the references! By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: George Pimentel/ Getty Images Love her or hate her, you’ve got to admit that Lady Gaga knows how to make a music video. Her clips always have been a mixture of high-art posturing and knowing nods to pop-culture ephemera, and “Judas” is no different. While it’s not filled with blink-and-you’ll-miss-it references like “Telephone” or odes to German Expressionism like “Alejandro,” there’s still plenty to wrap your eyes around in “Judas,” offering a mixture of the sacred and the profane. Gaga merges mentions to religious iconography and cult biker flicks (and pretty much everything in between) in the video, and so, we decided to take notes. Here’s our “Judas” pop-culture cheat sheet, alphabetized for your perusing pleasure … you can’t tell your Botticellis from your Brandos without it. “The Birth of Venus” : Iconic 15th century painting by Sandro Botticelli depicting the Roman goddess Venus emerging from the sea. Art historians have interpreted the work in many ways — a contemplation on physical and spiritual beauty, a celebration of the divine, a “wedding painting” meant to, uh, inspire the bride and groom — but in “Judas,” when Gaga strikes a pose similar to the painting, she seems to be paying tribute to all three. “Electric Chapel” : Gaga has said that she created her Monster Ball Tour so that her fans “would have a place to go … a safe place … an ‘Electric Chapel.’ ” It’s also the name of a song on her upcoming Born This Way album. In “Judas,” the Chapel is reimagined as a biker bar, where LG attempts to warn Jesus about Judas’ impending betrayal. Eye of Horus : An ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, closely associated with the goddess Wadjet. In “Judas,” Gaga wears eye makeup that recalls the symbol, which makes sense, since, as Mary Magdalene, she attempts to protect Christ from Judas’ backstabbing. Foot Washing : A religious rite observed by several Christian denominations. In the Bible, Christ washed the feet of his apostles before the Last Supper, the final meal he shared before his crucifixion. Gaga washes Christ’s feet in “Judas,” perhaps symbolizing his forthcoming demise, something that Judas certainly had a hand in. Golden Gun : Fictional weapon from the 1974 James Bond film “The Man With the Golden Gun,” and a totally kick-ass sidearm in the “GoldenEye” video game. Gaga wields a similar piece in “Judas,” though hers doesn’t contain bullets; instead, it’s a rather grandiose tube of lipstick, which she smears on Judas’ face. The Kiss of Judas : In the Bible, it is Judas’ final act of betrayal — he kisses Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane after the Last Supper as a way of identifying him to the soldiers who have come to arrest him. The same scene is played out in “Judas,” as the betrayer plants a pair of kisses on Christ’s cheeks. Mary Magdalene : A disciple of Jesus and one of the most controversial characters in the Bible, early scholars painted her as a repentant prostitute, while in the 20th and 21st century, she has come to be celebrated as a patron saint of women’s preaching and ministry. Not surprisingly, Gaga takes on the role of Magdalene, reimagining her as a badass chick with a penchant for chola fashion. Norman Reedus : American actor/model known for his roles in “The Boondock Saints” and, more recently, AMC’s “The Walking Dead.” In “Judas,” he plays the titular apostle with gleefully evil aplomb. Rick Gonzalez : American character actor who has appeared in dozens of films, most notably “Coach Carter” and, uh, “Old School,” where he played “Spanish.” In “Judas,” he’s given a gangster makeover as Jesus Christ. Sacred Heart : Religious icon that symbolizes Christ’s divine love for humanity. Often depicted as bleeding and wrapped in thorns, in “Judas,” Gaga can be seen wearing a Sacred Heart on her wardrobe. Simon Peter : One of Christ’s 12 apostles, also known as Saint Peter, he is regarded by the Catholic Church as the first pope. Before the Last Supper, when Christ washed his apostles’ feet, Peter originally refused, claiming he was not worthy. During Christ’s arrest, Peter sliced the ear of a servant of the High Priest who had come to seize him. In “Judas,” Gaga singles out Peter at the “Electric Chapel,” patting him on the back. “The Wild One” : 1953 biker film starring a young Marlon Brando as the leader of the Black Rebels Motorcycle Club. That leather-clad gang of ne’er-do-wells seems to be the direct inspiration for Christ’s biker-apostles in “Judas.” Can you spot any other literary, historic or pop-culture references in Lady Gaga’s “Judas” video?
