With Orange is the New Black season 2 premiering on Netflix June 6, we thought it would be a good time to reacquaint you with some of the show’s most beloved characters…and show you how jaw-droppingly different some of them look when they’re out from behind bars. Now, these women may not transform as fully as the stars of Game of Thrones who look completely different in real life , but many of them look markedly better with the help of a little makeup and some clothes that aren’t state-issued. Orange is the New Black Stars in Real Life! 1. Orange is the New Black: Crazy Eyes Uzo Aduba as Crazy Eyes on Orange is the New Black. The second season of the acclaimed Netflix series premiered June 6th. The men on the show have it easy, of course, with the exception of Pornstache who’s role calls for facial hair so epic he looks like the love child of 80s Alex Trebek and Tom Selleck. Other than that, the dudes of OITNB  play civilians or COs and putting on a uniform and badge is the most extreme change requested of them. Compare that to Uzo Aduba who plays Crazy Eyes on the show and appropriately looks, well…crazy! Jump into the gallery above to see how delicately beautiful Aduba looks at red carpet events. Hard to believe, right? Prison can do funny things to a woman (we’d imagine). Similarly, Taryn Manning – who was previously best known for playing Eminem’s girlfriend in 8 Mile – is freakin’ terrifying in her role as murderous, toothless redneck Pennsatucky, but in real life she’s a super-stylish fashion maven. Deployed Dad Surprises Family at Daughter’s Graduation: See the Emotional Video!

Chris Crafton of the U.S. Air Force was supposed to be stationed in Cuba, not at his daughter Taylor’s high school graduation in Grand Forks, N.D. Oh, how he had his family fooled this week. Chris’ family was prepared for his absence from Taylor’s big day, to the point where they even made a cardboard cutout of him to sit in the crowd in spirit. Not only did Crafton manage to end his deployment in time for her graduation, though, he declined to tell anyone in his family, not even his wife. Which made this all the more amazing: Deployed Dad Surprises Daughter at Graduation An announcement from the ceremony’s MC was the only thing signaling Chris’ arrival, just before he jogged onstage and embraced Taylor, saying: “I told you, don’t give up on your dad .” She never did, despite the demands of his job. He’s spent 1,782 days deployed, by his count, saying “This is my last deployment so I had to make it happen.” “I’ve missed a lot … you know, birthdays, Christmas, that kind of thing,” Crafton said. “So I just tried my best to get here for when she graduated.” Says his wife and Taylor’s mom Paige: “These are just things that you see on YouTube or on TV, it’s nothing that really happens to people that you know, so it’s just the best feeling in the world.” 13 Epic Reactions to Surprises Caught on Camera 1. Toni Braxton: God Gave Me Autistic Son as Punishment for Abortion

Toni Braxton suffered a major wardrobe malfunction last August. But now the singer is revealing a part of herself that cuts deeper than any exposed butt crack: In a new memoir, Braxton opens up about a past abortion and how that decision has significantly affected her present and her future. The artist says God gave her 11-year-old son, Diezel, autism as punishment for his mother having an abortion over a decade ago. Writes Braxton of struggling with the choice to terminate her pregnancy back in the day:  “I was suddenly faced with a choice I’d never thought I’d have to make. Amid my major misgivings about abortion, I eventually made the gut-wrenching decision.” She goes on to add: “In my heart, I believed I had taken a life – an action that I thought God might one day punish me for… My initial rage was quickly followed by another strong emotion: guilt. I knew I’d taken a life… I believed God’s payback was to give my son autism.” Raised in a religious household, Braxton details how she was forced to memorize 26 scriptures per week and to focus on religious studies over regular school work. Titled “Unbreak My Heart,” the book also covers Braxton’s struggles through a pair of bankruptcies and a recent health scare, having been hospitalized in 2012 with Lupus complications . Still, it’s not difficult to predict which passage in the biography most will focus on.

Irina Shayk Goes Topless for #BringBackOurGirls Campaign, Stirs Controversy

It’s typically hard to find fault with a photo of  Irina Shayk topless . The same can be said for supporting the safe rescue of countless kidnapped children. But put those two things together and, well… there’s a bit of understandable controversy. The model has joined the #BringBackOurGirls campaign, an online movement meant to raise awareness over the hundreds of Nigerian schoolgirls who were abducted by a terrorist group last month. It’s a movement celebrities such as Michelle Obama are also a part of – but Shayk is the only person so far to pose topless on its behalf. Many Instagram users have slammed Shayk’s decision to go half naked in this context, referring to her as “tasteless” and “ignorant” given the subject matter. “This is extremely ignorant and dumb,” reads one comment. “Holding this hash tag in front of your boobs as if it was some kind of Miss America badge. Seriously? THIS.IS.NOT.ABOUT.YOU.” Others, however, have praised Shayk for bringing any kind of attention to this tragic situation. Barb Williams, Ohio Kindergarten Teacher, Slams Student Against Wall in SHOCKING Video

A shocking video of Ohio kindergarten teacher Barb Williams picking a student up by his shirt and slamming him against a wall has gone viral this week. Not surprisingly, it has enraged many parents – particularly Autumn and Anthony Nelson, whose 6-year-old son Ian is seen in the clip with Williams … Teacher Slams Student Against Wall This video is almost hard to stomach as it begins with Ian walking to the bathroom alone. When he leaves the bathroom, Williams is waiting for him in the hall. There is no sound, but she is PISSED, picking him up by his shirt and slamming him against the wall not once, but twice with no hero cat – or other adult – in sight. All kidding aside, it gets even worse. One moment also shows her grabbing the boy by the face and tilting his head back in a borderline scary scene. Parents Autumn and Anthony Nelson of Wharton, Oh., actually received a letter from Eric Hoffman, the superintendent of the Riverdale School system. The letter alerted them of the incident that occurred between their son and his teacher, claiming that she was being disciplined with a 10-day unpaid suspension. The following day they were provided with the video. They were floored. “He was in the other room, and I watched it out in the kitchen and I just started crying. I burst out into tears,” Autumn told their local FOX affiliate. “He’s scared of her, even going to the school next year, even the year after he’ll still have to see her if she’s in the building. That’s probably going to scare him.” Now, and not surprisingly, Ian’s parents are demanding Williams’ firing. “We thought it was a little incident … that’s what the school made it sound like . All of a sudden, we get this video today and this is just outrageous,” Anthony said. Time will tell if she remains employed, but it’s clear what they feel is a lax punishment isn’t going to sit well with the student, his parents or the public. Do you think Williams should get fired? Kanye West has always pushed the boundaries of hip hop music, but for his next project Yeezus has decided to drop the “music” part altogether. Yes, if you’re a fan of beats, melodies or other things that make Kanye’s obnoxious boasting tolerable, you may want to skip his as-yet untitled eighth studio album, which will reportedly consist of three hours of Kanye talking. Three. Hours. Of Kanye. Just talking. What will ‘Ye talk about, you ask? Everything, of course! “He has very strong views on everything from music and art to politics and the environment,” says a source close to the production, adding, “Kanye loves the sound of his own voice.” In other news, water has been found to be wet and the Pope is apparently a Catholic. Evidently, Kanye’s three weddings aren’t enough of an annoying statement of self-importance. So, if when you’re at a party, you like to seek out the most arrogant, opinionated loudmouth in the room and listen to him babble on for hours, you’re sure to love Kanye’s new album! It’s all of the ego you can possible fit in one album with none of that pesky music getting in the way. If we’re really lucky, maybe he’ll throw in a nasally cameo from his fiancee. Mom Beats Daughter For Sharing Racy Photos, Posts Video on Facebook

When a 12-year-old girl posted racy photos of herself on Facebook, her mom was upset. So she beat her HARD and posted a video of THAT on Facebook: Mom BEATS Daughter This was not your run-of-the-mill beating, either. Helen Bartlett whipped her offspring with a strap for several minutes, causing the video to go viral and spark a heated debate over corporal punishment. Some viewers support the mom’s actions, while others are appalled, for obvious reasons – and this isn’t even the full-length video she put online. You can see the uncensored version Barlett shared – and has no regrets about. She says she is “prepared to go to jail” to set her “problem child” straight. She says she beat her daughter for posting underwear photos and sexting, and did it to keep her off the streets and stop her from getting pregnant. Noble goals, to be sure … but seriously? Perhaps most amazingly, a few days after this went up, the 12-year-old and her older sister put up their own video, in which they defended their mom. They said she was a good mother who just wanted to protect them, reassuring viewers that her mom loves her and she has no intention of killing herself. She hasn’t, however, been back to school. Since the video of the beating went viral last week, her mother says she fears being made fun of there and getting bullied … how’s that for irony? In her video, the 12-year-old said, “I am very sorry for bringing shame on you and the family. I know you love me dearly. And I love you dearly, too.” You be the judge … right or wrong?!   Right! Jenelle Evans doesn’t even have legal custody of her son Jace, but imagine her surprise when absentee dad Andrew Lewis showed up at his daycare. Even though he’s banned from the center, no less. Lewis and the Teen Mom 2 star never married and despite being MIA for most of his offspring’s life, he has recently been sneaking in secret visits with Jace.
