Getting kids ready and off to school on time is never easy, but this time of year, after having the tykes at home all summer, many parents look forward to morning drop-offs. Not Leah Messer. For Leah the morning drop-off is the ultimate test of parenting competency. Last year, she botched one so badly that she briefly held the title of Most Hated Teen Mom 2 Cast Member. (Fortunately for Leah and the other girls, Jenelle Evans is always quick to regain that title.) You may remember the scene and the social media firestorm that followed it. Leah rushed her girls off to school without feeding them breakfast first, and the young ladies were decidedly (and understandably) not happy about it. To make matters worse, it wasn’t the only time that Leah had trouble getting the kids off to school on time: Leah Messer to Kids: I’ll Get You to School Whenever I Want! In fact, things got so bad, that Leah actually lost custody of her twins to their father, Corey Simms, in large part because of her inability to get them up and ready for class in a timely fashion. It wasn’t until she was able to demonstrate that she is able to get the kids fed, clothed and off to school that Leah was granted custody again . We think it’s safe to say she’s not a morning person. Anyway, it seems that Leah is once again having weekday morning issues. Except this it’s not her kids who are cranky – it’s the other parents. Leah posted the following to Instagram earlier today: As you can see, she’s eager to apologize/clarify herself to a fellow parent who was clearly upset about the presence of a camera crew at their child’s bus stop. “There were NO cameras filming at my girls’ bus stop this morning,” Leah writes. “MTV follows my life and happened to be doing so this morning at my home. “HOWEVER, I personally have more than enough RESPECT for the other children & parents that I knew would be there to make it VERY clear to MTV that no cameras were to be filming at the bus stop.” She concludes: “I hope the person who seemed to be frustrated that the crew was following behind me in a car does see this and knows that my priority is my children, and our school, and my job on TV will never interfere with that. “If you have ANY questions or concerns feel free to contact me directly.” It’s unclear exactly why the offended party believed their child was being filmed, but we can’t help but think that Leah could’ve handled this in a more discrete fashion. Granted, she didn’t mention the person by name, but a kindly worded email or phone call probably would’ve been more effective than Leah addressing a situation regarding privacy in front of her 1 million IG followers. Ryan Edwards may be a lot of things, but what he is not is ready to be a dad again. In a clip from Teen Mom OG, Edwards joked to his parents that a brother and sister for Bentley, 7 (mom is ex-girlfriend, Maci Bookout). The comment was prompted by a discussion of more kids for the Tennessee native, and how Mr. and Mrs. Edwards didn't see their son “on any kind of path to have more kids right now,” and that they “needed to find” him a woman. “Bentley will be grown before you have another one,” Mrs. Edwards told her son. In his usual doofy tone, Edwards said to his parents, “I could surprise you next week!” Not funny, his mom said. “Oh please don't,” she told him. “We don't want a surprise,” his dad jumped in. “Let's don't do that.” Talk turned to Bookout's October when, and Mrs. Edwards jokingly asked her son if he was going to be the flower boy. “Weddings are so fun to go, as long as they're not your own,” Edwards said. According to Radar Online , Edwards tweeted (then deleted) that he was going to be a dad again. When the site reached out for a comment, Edwards only had this to say when asked if he's having a baby with ex-girlfriend, Shelby Woods. “Hell, no,” was his only response. You can’t be serious… DeShawn Franklin And Family Awarded Just $18 In Civil Rights Settlement The case of a innocent black man brutally beaten by police in a case of mistaken identity is making national headlines. Four years ago 18-year-old DeShawn Franklin of Indiana was awoken out of his sleep by police beating and tasering him. Why? Because they mistook him for another black man with dreadlocks. Now in 2016 his family is reeling after being just awarded $18 in a civil rights violation settlement for his unlawful arrest. The IndyStar reports: DeShawn Franklin, a slim, soft-spoken young man, hops on a city bus most days to travel 4 miles to the University of Notre Dame campus, where he works setting up equipment and moving furniture. […] It’s the night four years ago when three police officers entered his family’s home without a warrant. They rousted him from the bed where he slept. They punched him six times: three times in the face and three times to the body. They used a Taser on him. Then they loaded him into a squad car in view of the neighbors. All because of a case of mistaken identity. All because he wore dreadlocks. Even South Bend’s mayor and police department acknowledge that the officers that July night in 2012 used excessive force and violated the civil rights of Franklin and his parents by entering the house without permission. A federal jury in Fort Wayne agreed this month, determining that the officers were liable for unlawful entry and unlawful seizure. But then another maddening thing happened: The jury decided that those violations of the Fourth Amendment were worth only $1. Yes, $1. Each police officer who ignored the U.S. Constitution was ordered to pay a dollar to DeShawn and to each of his parents for each rights violation. The family was awarded an insulting total of $18 in damages. It is their only compensation for a night that left a then-18-year-old high school senior bruised, embarrassed and afraid. And his parents wondering about whether a poor black family can find equity in the American justice system. This…is…ridiculous. Hopefully this case picks up more traction and an attorney can get this young man the real compensation he deserves.

A little over a year ago, in July of 2015, the former Subway spokesman had his home raided by federal agents, with evidence eventually leading to 14 charges of sex solicitation from minors. In legal documents, Fogle was accused of traveling between Indiana and New York City in order to pay for sex with a multitude of teenage girls between 2010 and 2013. In November, Fogle was sentenced to 15 years in prison , with his attorneys trying to argue (in his favor, mind you) that Fogle was only guilty of “mild pedophilia.” That may be the biggest oxymoron since the term “plastic silverware” or “clothed Kim Kardashian.” In other words: Jared Fogle is a terrible human being. There is no denying this fact. Yet, incredibly, Jared Fogle managed to plummet to a new low this week. RUN, Miss Piggy and Kermit! Run away as far from Fogle as you can! Fogle has actually gone ahead and filed a federal complaint against the parents of an alleged victim who sued the ex-Subway pitchman after he supposedly received secret recordings of her changing her clothes and bathing. Yes, as part of Fogle’s sordid history, he paid for videos and photos of young teenagers in states of undress. Last March, parents of one of these teenagers filed a lawsuit against Fogle for emotional distress. They are seeking $150,000 in damages. In the lawsuit, the parents allege that Russell Taylor – the former head of Fogle’s charity – secretly filmed their underage daughter and other kids while they were changing clothes and bathing at Taylor’s house. He then passed along the footage to Fogle. In a motion filed Thursday, however, Fogle tried to turn the legal tables. He argued that the girl’s parents “through their actions, caused or significantly contributed to the injuries and damages alleged by Jane Doe in her Complaint against the Defendants.” Fogle isn’t denying his heinous actions here. He’s just having the balls to say the parents deserve blame for messing up their child, the one he grossly and illegally ogled. In an attempt to reduce his prison sentence, he filed a document with the U.S. Court of Appeals that claimed he only child porn to one person while in a hotel room. So, come on, he basically said!
