Kate Hudson is in Ibiza like she was Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and all the other 40 year old once famous people who I guess want to connect with the ravers and club kids and cheesy party people from all over the world – or at least get access to their drugs in a beautiful setting – as long as you’re not at the resort all the old fat British and German retirees go.. In honor of Bastille Day, A Moveable Feast: St-Germain Café Society Brunch Series kicked off this weekend for the first time ever in LA on July 9th. Co-hosts model and singer Caroline Vreeland and St-Germain Global Brand Ambassador Camille Vidal honored the gathering of the St-Germain Café Society at Republique. The brunch then moved to NYC on July 10th where co-hosts the Quann Sisters and and Ms. Vidal hosted at The McKittrick Hotel. The intimate brunches were created to emulate the modern day Café Society legacy, a legacy cherished from the 1920s where the “Beautiful People” and “Bright Young Things” gathered in avant-garde cafes in New York, Paris and London to celebrate creativity, fine-dining and life’s passions. The St-Germain Café Society Bon Vivants sipped St-Germain French elderflower liqueur daytime aperitifs while toasting to the summer brunch season and the French national holiday with guests including Ashley Moore, Kilo Kish, Joachim Johnson, Franchesca Ramsey, Pili Restrepo, and more.

Back in April, Paris Jackson got a tattoo to pay tribute to her late, legendary father. The 18-year-old followed that up with more ink, and today she revealed why she’s been so eager to complete her sleeves: As you may recall, it wasn’t that long ago that Jackson struggled with severe depression in the wake of her father’s death. Paris attempted suicide in 2013, and she recently revealed that she engaged in self-harm practices such as cutting for several years. Now, Paris is speaking for the first time about how her painful past inspired her current fondness for tattoos. In a lengthy caption for the above Instagram photo, the 18-year-old revealed that while she likes the look of her ink, her decision to go under the needle was inspired by more than simple aesthetics: “Today I can look at my inner forearms and see art that has meaning for me, I don’t see a dark past anymore,” Paris wrote. “My scars and past of self-hatred have been covered by loving marks, creativity, ingenuity.. and depth. Sure I will always carry my past with me, but I see ink as a way of changing for the better, always improving. “They represent strength for me. I look back at my old self and then i look in the mirror, and i see a fighter looking back at me. I’ll always keep fighting, and encouraging others to stay strong. “We all go through hell every now and then but it makes us the warriors of love we were meant to be. so to anyone struggling, it gets better. You’re not alone.” Inspiring stuff from an 18-year-old who’s been through an awful lot. Scars from early struggles may never disappear, but it’s nice to hear that Paris has figured out a way to write her own story right over them. We’re sure Michael would be proud that she’s followed in his footsteps by using art as a means of coping with the memories of a painful childhood. Chalk it up to drugs to lifestyle or to some unknown factor, but the following big names in music all left this planet far too soon… 1. Kurt Cobain The lead singer of Nirvana shot himself in the head at the age of 27, leaving a note that read: “Thank you all from the pit of my burning, nauseous stomach for your letters and concern during the past years. I’m too much of an erratic, moody baby! I don’t have the passion anymore, and so remember, it’s better to burn out than to fade away.” 2. Janis Joplin Janis Joplin also died at the age of 27. Officials determined that she overdosed on heroin. 3. Jimi Hendrix Yup, Jimi Hendrix was also 27 whe he died due to asphyxiation in his own vomit after he took sleeping pills. 4. Scott Weiland Scott Weiland was found dead in his tour bus in December of 2015. He passed away from cardiac arrest. 5. Andy Gibb Andy Gibb struggled with substance abuse and died of a heart ailment in 1988, just prior to his 30th birthday. 6.
