Tea Party what? Yeah, I thought so …

I was pretty sure all along that the Tea Party was a fabrication of FOX News, but it was nice to see it proven this morning when I read the news wires. Even though there is much to do, it is nice to know that racism and greed are not ideals that can win in the political arena. GOP Women Win Primaries, ABC News Thanks Hillary Clinton

All three network morning shows touted the good showing by a bevy of Republican women and Arkansas Democrat Blanche Lincoln in yesterday’s primaries. NBC’s Today and CBS’s Early Show both headlined “Ladies Night,” while ABC’s Good Morning America’s take was “Women Rule.” But ABC fill-in anchor Elizabeth Vargas suggested credit should really go to Hillary Clinton, because she “helped by running for president,” paving the way for “all these other women about to possibly take office, high office, in those states.” Vargas’s co-host and former Clinton employee George Stephanpoulos offered no comment. Here’s how ABC’s Good Morning America opened their June 9 program: GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS, teasing at the top of the show: This morning, voters voice their anger and choose new faces in primaries across 12 states. Women and Tea Party candidates the big winners, but can they ride voter frustration all the way to Washington?… STEPHANOPOULOS opening the show: The big headline out of last night’s primaries: “Women Rule.” How about this — women candidates in four states won primaries. In California, for the first time in history, Republicans have chosen women candidates for both governor and senator. In Arkansas, Senator Blanche Lincoln bucked the anti-incumbent trend to come back against a well-funded challenger. And we’re going to talk live to the woman [Nikki Haley] who survived one of the roughest races, and now the favorite to become the first ever female governor in South Carolina. Then, after a wrap-up report by Jon Karl and Stephanopoulos’s interview with Haley: VARGAS: So many women saying – doing so well, and many saying perhaps Hillary Clinton helped by running for president. All these other women about to possibly take office, high office, in those states.

MSNBC’s Matthews Openly Roots for Birther Candidate Taitz to ‘Bring Down’ California Republicans, ‘I Would Tie Her Up Like a Wit

Appearing on the 10:00 p.m. edition of MSNBC’s Countdown show on Tuesday to discuss the day’s primary election results, Chris Matthews expressed his delight that Orly Taitz – a prominent member of the birther movement that pushes the bizarre theory that President Obama was not really born in America – won the Republican nomination for secretary of state in California, and expressed his hope that the fringe candidate would drag down the Republican ticket in the state. Matthews celebrated what he termed a “malignancy” within the Republican party as he openly rooted for Taitz to hurt the GOP: Keith, we`ve got good news tonight. And that`s the probable nomination of Orly Taitz in California for secretary of state. This is a true malignancy on the Republican party. She will bring down the other two candidates for high office out there. She`ll probably bring down Carly Fiorina, and may well bring down Meg Whitman because she is unacceptable to any reasonable voter. Matthews went on to advise that California Democrats “tie her up like a witch at the stake”: It is tribalist, it`s malignant, and I believe if I were a Democratic officeholder out there or had anything to do with the Democratic party with Jerry Brown`s campaign, I would tie her to them like a fencepost. I would tie her up, I should say, like a witch at the stake. This is a malignancy. Matthews went on to reiterate that he thought that Taitz’s current success in California’s Republican party was “wonderful news”: CHRIS MATTHEWS: I think that`s wonderful news that she`s been included in the inner sanctum of the Republican ticket out there. KEITH OLBERMANN: Yes. MATTHEWS: She`s been attending their events. OLBERMANN: Karl Rove did not get up and walk out. Let me ask you about Arkansas. MATTHEWS: He should have.

Stephanopoulos Cites Tea Party ‘Losing Steam,’ But Skips Obama’s Plummeting Numbers

On Tuesday’s World News, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos touted how “we’ve got a new poll out tonight that shows the Tea Party may be losing steam nationwide” as its unfavorable rating has “gone up eleven points in the last couple of months to 50 percent. Their favorable rating has gone down.” Stephanopoulos and ABC, however, didn’t find time, in multiple stories on the oil leak, to inform viewers how the same ABC News/Washington Post survey, released Tuesday morning, found that by 49 to 44 percent the public disapproves of President Obama’s handling of the disaster. In addition, “the number of Americans who think the President ‘understands the problems of people like you,’ at 51 percent, is down from 56 percent in a Washington Post poll in late March; and at 57 percent his rating as a strong leader is down from 65 percent in March.” ( PDF of poll results ) Stephanopoulos raised the Tea Party’s standing in a preview of Tuesday’s primary elections. Anchor Diane Sawyer wondered: “And what does this mean, the outsider momentum for the Tea Party? Does it roll straight to November?” Stephanopoulos answered: Not entirely clear. We’ve got a new poll out tonight that shows the Tea Party may be losing steam nationwide. Look at the unfavorable rating. It’s gone up eleven points in the last couple of months to 50 percent [from 39]. Their favorable rating has gone down [41 to 36]. So the Tea Party still has enough juice to win these primaries, but they may be putting their party in a position of making it harder to win those seats in November.

By Shaheem Reid Busta Rhymes Photo: MTV News EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey — On Sunday night, after Busta Rhymes had ripped the stage with DJ Khaled and a host of others at Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert , the rap legend joked backstage with Trey Songz and gave his full play-by-play of what happened. ” ‘Stop the Party’ stopped the party this evening,” Busta said with an extra-raspy voice backstage at the New Meadowlands Stadium. “My voice is a little gone. They did warn the building that there was a tornado watch today. You know why they did that. The tornado came through! Busta came through and did what was necessary. With all due respect to everything else in the building, what was necessary had to get done. ‘Stop the Party’ flatlined the entire brand-new Giants Stadium. It’s only appropriate. Trey Songz, flatline! He came through and he bodied the building. Extremely appropriate.” Busta said the part of the show he was involved with was historic. “The Khaled set, I think a special moment we should acknowledge,” he said. “Despite the fact that the set in its entirety was incredible, I think we were very happy to see the homie Cam’ron. Flatline! Cam’ron, you bodied the building. The young homie Vado, great first look. You bodied the building. Mr. Ros
