‘Hills’ Most Buzzed-About Moment #8: Heidi Montag Crashes Lauren’s Party

Montag could have cost Conrad her internship when she showed up to the Teen Vogue party uninvited. By Jocelyn Vena Heidi Montag Photo: MTV MTV News is counting down the most buzzed-about “Hills” moments before the premiere of the show’s final season airs on Tuesday, and our #8 moment comes courtesy of the show’s very first episode. When Lauren Conrad began on the show, she was an intern at Teen Vogue just hoping to make a good first impression on her then-boss, Lisa Love. However, her party-girl roommate Heidi Montag just wanted to have a good time and nearly ruined Conrad’s first major assignment at the magazine. During LC’s big task — helping out at the Young Hollywood Party being thrown by Teen Vogue — Heidi showed up looking for a good time, unfortunately at her pal’s expense. Montag showed the world early on that she had a taste for causing trouble. When Heidi showed up unannounced at the event, she caused a scene and almost cost Lauren her internship. Without asking and without approval, she made her way to a section of the party intended only for VIP guests (which the unknown Heidi definitely wasn’t at the time) and even got into a heated argument with her then-boyfriend in front of everyone in attendance at the event. Heidi ended up reconciling with the guy and things went well with Lauren and Teen Vogue, but we can’t say the same for the pair’s friendship — the two famously parted ways, although it would be over Heidi’s future husband Spencer Pratt and not over a party mishap. What are some of your favorite “Hills” moments? Let us know in the comments below! “The Hills: Final Season” premieres Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT followed by “The City” at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Game Calls Gang Starr MC Guru ‘A Legend’

‘I felt the same way I felt when Jam Master Jay got murdered,’ MC says. By Steven Roberts Photo: Cary Hammond/ Redferns The hip-hop world is still reeling from the passing of legendary Gang Starr MC Guru (real name: Keith Elam), who died Monday at the age of 43 from cancer. Fans have reacted to his death with found memories of Guru’s work with DJ Premiere for Gang Starr and his Jazzmatazz series, and artists like Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj and Fabolous reached out via Twitter to share their condolences. When MTV News caught up with Game in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon, he said he was caught off-guard by the news. “It happens so fast sometimes. I felt the same way I felt when I woke up and they said that Jam Master Jay got murdered, and then I woke up this morning to a text [saying], ‘Guru is dead.’ ” Game said he got the text from a DJ in New York, and things like that can serve as a wake-up call, especially when people pass in an untimely fashion. He even compared the late, legendary MC’s impact on East Coast hip-hop to Ice Cube’s influence on the West. “That’s like waking up tomorrow — and knock on wood — and somebody like Cube died,” Game said. “So my condolences to his family and to hip-hop for losing a legend.” Share your memories of Guru and Gang Starr in the comments below. Green Day, ‘American Idiot’ Cast Celebrate ‘Legit Rock And Roll’ Opening Night

‘The night was electric,’ actor Tony Vincent says at afterparty. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Rya Backer Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt at the “American Idiot” afterparty Photo: MTV News With opening night of the “American Idiot” musical officially in the books, the guys in Green Day can officially focus on something else that’s important: enjoying their natural high. “This is the highest moment I think we’ve ever had as a band, in the 21 years we’ve been around,” frontman Billie Joe Armstrong told MTV News at the “Idiot” afterparty, held at New York’s Roseland Ballroom on Tuesday night. “And we’ve been pretty high,” drummer Tre Cool interjected. That feeling of euphoria extended to the cast of “Idiot,” too. After all, they’ve been working on the production for close to two years now, shepherding it through rehearsals, a run at the Berkeley Repertory Theater last year and, finally, to Broadway. It’s been a labor of love every step of the way, so, you know, they were feeling pretty good at the party too. “It’s one of those nights that’s going to be really difficult to put into words in the future,” John Gallagher Jr., who plays Johnny, said. “It’s been a long time coming. We’ve been working on the show for almost two years, so to open it on Broadway — which has always been the ultimate dream, the ultimate destination — it’s just been incredible.” “The night was electric, because the house was incredibly endorsing of us, from the time that the curtain went up,” added Tony Vincent, who plays St. Jimmy. “And when it went down, there was this huge relief, that what we brought to Broadway was legit rock and roll, for the first time in, I think, possibly, ever. And we killed it tonight.” Early reviews of the show have been equally gushing — The New York Times called the production “thrillingly raucous and gorgeously wrought” — and so, there seemed to be nothing to do besides celebrate. After all, it’s been a long journey to get to this point. “[It was] unbelievable. Just completely unbelievable,” Michael Esper, who plays Will, said. “The experience of doing this show tonight was something I will never forget as long as I live. The excitement from the house, the feeling onstage, the love between everybody, it was overpowering.” Do you plan on seeing “American Idiot” on Broadway? Lindsay Lohan Needs to Consolidate Credit Card Debt

Lindsay Lohan has been hitting the party scene and doing no work. That’s not a good recipe for long-term financial health, and the results show it. “Lindsay owes credit card companies $600,000,” a source says of the troubled (financially and otherwise) star. “One card cut her off last week.” “It’s only a matter of time before the other [companies] do too.” Someone really needs to consolidate credit card debt. Seriously, the interest rates on those things are abominable. Just use one card, Lindsay. One . Yet despite her lack of career and subsequent income, she hasn’t cut back on her crazy lifestyle and is now over half a million dollars in the hole. Lindsay Lohan better get used to Wal-Mart fashion like this dress . Lohan used to be an actress, then she at least used make a good chunk of change by doing club appearances, but even those fees have dwindled . Lohan’s financial woes are nothing new. The celeb, who some feel will die if she does not get it together, was nearly evicted due to unpaid rent. Fortunately, there are options. “One credit card company is going to discuss a payment plan,” the source adds. “They are prepared to sue her, but won’t if she can make payments.” That’s generally how it works, peeps. Credit counseling. Working fiscal wonders for delinquents all over the country, even (formerly) rich celebrity brats.

Fox News pulls Sean Hannity from Tea Party Rally

Fox News has pulled Sean Hannity from his starring role in a tea party rally just one week after Rupert Murdoch said the network should not be supporting the tea party movement. Hannity was set to broadcast Thursday night from a tea party rally in Cincinnati, but was rushing back to New York Thursday evening after network executives learned of the plan and said it was unacceptable. “Fox News never agreed to allow the Cincinnati Tea Party organizers to use Sean Hannity's television program to profit from broadcasting his show from the event,” Bill Shine, the network's executive vice president of programming, told the Los Angeles Times. “When senior executives in New York were made aware of this, we changed our plans for tonight's show.” http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/04/15/fox-news-pulls-sean-hanni_n_539719.html added by: jeffissleeping
