From the looks of things, the ladies and birthday boy all had a great time getting super slizzard in honor of the occasion. One gift in particular even brought birthday boy Memphitz to his knees….and no, it wasn’t a muzzle for K. Michelle . The Real Housewives of Atlanta made us wonder who would say, “I Do… But, I Won’t” as the Anguilla adventure continued. We recap all the love, romance, and tramp stamps in our THG +/- review We dive back into Anguilla with Kenya asking Phaedra which of her friends she’d give Apollo as a birthday present. What?!? Minus 18 . Kenya doesn’t find the question the least bit inappropriate but Phaedra’s not laughing. Phaedra comments that Kenya needs to, “put some ice in your panties because it’s just not a good look for you.” Plus 8. I’d give more points if she’d have said that to Kenya’s face. Did anyone else notice how uncomfortable Kenya and Walter looked at dinner when the rest of the couples were joking about how much sex they were having on the trip? Huh? So Kenya’s comfortable flirting with every man who crosses her path but couples talking about working the third shift is a problem. Minus 10 . That’s just weird. Wasn’t she just joking about having a threesome with Phaedra’s husband? Although I really didn’t need to know that Kandi and Todd christened the hot tub. Minus 12. Where is Phaedra and her Lysol when you need it? NeNe calls Kenya out, telling her she doesn’t think she and Walter are the real deal. Plus 5 for being direct. At least she says it to Kenya’s face instead of just behind her back. But the big event is Peter’s surprise vow renewal with Cynthia. When he tells the men about it Gregg offers him a couple of viagra. Minus 13 . So that explains Gregg hanging all over NeNe. He’s making sure he’s ready but I’m pretty sure Peter’s able to man up drug free. The vow renewal ceremony is beautiful. Peter and Cynthia have survived a lot of crap and they deserved this wonderful day. I may not always be Peter’s biggest fan but he did it right this time. Plus 30. And to keep the romance going each couple lights a lantern and sends it off over the waves, which sounds lovely unless you are Kenya or Kandi. Their lanterns crashed and burned instead of sailing off towards the heavens. Minus 11. Is that a bad omen or just pure dumb luck? NeNe damn near body blocked Kandi to get to that bouquet. Plus 7 because it was actually kind of funny. Gregg looked so thrilled you’d think those silly flowers sealed the deal. But everyone is happy for Cynthia and Peter…except Kenya who can’t stop thinking why not me ? She’s already a little unstable when her sit down with Porsha begins. And why is Porsha rehashing their argument? Minus 18 . These two women were silently loathing one another this entire trip. Can’t we leave it at that? Apparently not. Porsha wants it all out on the table. Well, be careful what you wish for. Before you know it Kenya’s calling Porsha a b*tch and Porsha’s telling her to, “take your hood rat ass back to Detroit.” Kenya gets all kinds of upset when Porsha calls her a tramp. Minus 10. Kenya’s not the one with the tramp stamp but honey, you were just rubbing your booty on another woman’s husband the night before so if the tramp stamp fits… But who expected to see Ms. NeNe in the role of mediator and bouncer. Plus 15. She has to physically keep these two women apart while trying to broker some sort of peace. When Kenya finally leaves the party with her flowing dress proclaiming, “I’m Gone With the Wind fabulous” I began to wonder if she was off her meds. And then I laughed out loud when NeNe gave that incredulous look, raised an eyebrow and asked, “B*tch, is it movie night?” Plus 22. And to think Anguilla’s not over yet. More next week. Art wasn’t the only thing folks were celebrating in Miami during Art Basel weekend. Jay-Z hosted his official D’USSÉ Cognac launch party at LIV Nightclub on South Beach. In case you didn’t know, D’USSÉ is Jay-Z’s joint venture with spirits giant Bacardi and the party def didn’t fail to impress. Beyoncé tagged along and a host of their other friends, including Fabolous, Flo Rida, The Dream, Kelly Rowland, Paris Hilton, Young Chris, DJ Clue, Stevie J, Don P, Teyana Taylor, Memphis Bleek, Floyd Mayweather, Pusha T, and Claudia Jordan, were all in attendance for the launch. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are not only co-hosts of the 70th Golden Globes this year, they’re also competitors. Both were nominated for Best Actress in a Television Musical or Comedy, with Fey duking it out with her counterpart for 30 Rock , while Poehler is up for the award for Park and Recreation . [ Related: Golden Globes Unveil 70th Edition Nominees ] But while the co-hosts won’t conceivably know the results until the envelope opens at the ceremony on January 13th, the pair are busy working together in the lead-up to the big event, and no doubt re-calling those good ol’ Saturday Night Live days. In this promo for the Globes, the duo are dressed in matching golden sparkly dresses and they both dish out cheesy Brit(ish) accents (until they don’t). Maybe they’re commenting on the resurgence of British-speak in Hollywood films reminiscent of the very early “golden days” of Hollywood? The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills swear “She’s Gone Too Far” but only they know how far she’s really gone. We recap what we can of the secret that shall not be named and find out who is the biggest tattle tale in our THG +/- review. Kyle’s house is getting egged? Disgruntled fan? Perhaps they need to invest in a better security system. Money’s obviously not a problem since Mauricio gave Kyle a brand new Maserati one week and now his 16 year old gets her own Mercedes. Almost more shocking than the car were the girl’s shorts. Minus 14. The only way for that tiny scrap of denim to get any shorter would be if she took them off altogether. Kyle justifies it all by saying that her daughter just turned 16 and she’s a really good kid. Shouldn’t all good kid’s get their own Mercedes? Apparently they hand them out when you get your license when you live in Beverly Hills. But you’d think her parents would at least make her put some pants on before she drove off in it. Brandi’s still talking about her book deal and they’re trying to come up with a title. Minus 10 because I kind of hate the working title, It’s Divorce, Not Cancer. Brandi wants something a little more straight forward like Get the F**k Over It . Plus 8 for her directness but something tells me the publisher might go with something else. Did anyone else notice that Brandi’s home looked almost like a normal house compared to the other ladies’ McMansions. Perhaps she really does need the money form this book. Camille makes another appearance and maybe she could cool it on the Kelsey penis jokes. Minus 15. I’m not the guy’s biggest fan but this punchline has gotten old. Time to move one. Across town, Lisa’s got her own problems. One of her servers ticked off an influential customer. It sounds like they were both idiots but obviously the server’s lucky she still has a job. But it would have been nice if Lisa had been willing to hear her employee’s side of the story. Minus 9 . But Lisa’s mind is otherwise occupied as Ken heads off to have hip replacement surgery. I never realized that he’s 16 years her senior. Plus 15 because everything goes off smoothly and it sounds as though he’ll make a quick recovery. At Lisa’s tasting party for her friends Brandi is asked what’s the back story between her and Adrienne and in true Brandi fashion, she tells all. The only problem is the viewers don’t get to hear the best dirt. Minus 20. So is Bravo just holding out to make this bombshell into the big reveal or are there legal reasons why this must be the secret that can’t be named? The reasons are anyone’s guess but if everyone had kept their mouths shut the story could have died right there…but really, what were the odds of that? If I’d had to guess I would have pegged Taylor as the first to tattle but it turned out to be Kim. Minus 22. Was she just ditzy when she shared the news at Mauricio’s big event or was it a passive aggressive move against her sister and brother-in-law. Goodness knows there’s still tension between them. Whatever this secret is, Adrienne calls Brandi a liar and Paul blows a gasket. Suddenly he’s screaming at Brandi in the middle of the party. Wouldn’t you love to know what the piece of news was that set him off like that? Of course none of Kyle’s friends seem to have any qualms about making a scene in front of Mauricio’s clients. Minus 18. Adrienne’s yelling about lawsuits and Paul’s telling Brandi she’s a b*tch as they storm out. If they wanted to keep whatever this is a secret perhaps screaming about it at a public event wasn’t their brightest move. Will we ever know what Brandi’s bombshell was? Did you think Kim would be the town gossip? And was revealing it at Maricio’s party part of her evil plan or just general stupidity at work? Episode total = -85! Season total = -98!
Diddy was on hand to celebrate producer Rico Love’s birthday this weekend. He wasn’t the only one either. Kelly Rowland, BDR, Fat Joe and Pharrell were also seen on the scene. Here’s some info about the party: Roberto Cavalli and Saks Fifth Avenue, Bal Harbour pulled out all the stops Saturday night at SLS Hotel South Beach in honor of Rico Love’s 30th birthday celebration during Art Basel Miami Beach. The evening’s cocktail menu included a choice of GREY GOOSE® Cherry Noir Trey Noir, GREY GOOSE® Cherry Noir Triple Platinum and GREY GOOSE® Le Fizz. Attendees included Eva Cavalli, Kelly Rowland, Fat Joe, Pharrell, Russell Simmons, Andre Harrell, Janice Combs, Angie Beyince, DJ Cassidy and Adriana de Moura, among others. Rico stepped on to the red carpet as photographers yelled “Happy Birthday Rico,” and Eva Cavalli soon joined him for a couple’s photo session by the paparazzi. Two hours in to the event, guests were asked to take their seats at the side of the pool to witness an exclusive Cavalli fashion show, orchestrated backstage by Eva Cavalli herself. The Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2013 collection featured was inspired by the poetic decorations of the Art Nouveau period. Cavalli did not show the collection at New York Fashion Week this year, making this special presentation for Rico’s birthday the only showing in the U.S. This year, Rico and Saks Fifth Avenue, Bal Harbour announced they are giving back to the community by donating 10% of the proceeds of sales from the Cavalli fashion show and pop-up store, as well as in-store sales, to Usher’s New Look Foundation. DJ Affect was hired to provide the beats throughout the cocktail reception and fashion show. As the fashion show came to a close, invited dinner guests quickly made their way inside Katsuya, the hotel’s Asian-inspired restaurant, for the private dinner portion of the evening. Approximately 100 invited guests were seated for the private dinner, with Rico’s table of 10 facing the entire room around him. As the Edamame was served family-style on to each table, guests were treated to a first course of Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, Creamy Rock Shrimp Tempura and the chef’s selection of assorted classic rolls, including Baked Crab Cut Rolls and Vegetable Roll. The second course comprised of Chicken Teriyaki, Robata Grilled Kobe Skirt Steak, Miso-Marinated Black Cod, Stir Fry Vegetables and Steamed White Rice. As the first course began, Rico’s five-layer birthday cake was wheeled in to the side of the room, encased with notes and bars of music etched in to each tier with Rico’s name on the very top in red, and a HUBLOT logo written in white icing on the middle layer. The base of the cake illustrates the keys on a piano, with ‘Happy 30th Birthday’ written beneath it. A Hublot watchcase with watch inside was designed in cake to resemble a replica of his own. As the second course was presented, Sean “P Diddy” Combs, made a grand entrance with an entourage of Rico’s friends. “I knew Rico while he was growing up in Harlem,” Combs said. “ I was blown away by his music then, and I still continue to listen to it now. Please raise your glasses to our friend, Rico Love.” Owner of Hublot Americas, Rick Delacroix, then made a birthday gift speech to Rico, and presented him with a limited edition Hublot Miami watch, named the “Hublot 305,” of which only 10 were made. Rico took the watch from its box and wrapped it around his other wrist and showed it next to his existing Hublot timepiece. “I am lucky, honored and privileged to have such a warm and heartfelt group of family and friends around me on such a special day,” said Love. “I’d like to thank Eva and Roberto Cavalli, and our sponsors, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bal Harbour, Hublot and GREY GOOSE, for making this momentous birthday occasion the most memorable ever.” The impressive dessert line-up included Chocolate Lover’s Cake, Passion Fruit Caramel Donuts and Mochi Ice Cream. Via National Enquirer reports : MARIO LOPEZ will pay a steep price if he ever cheats on new bride Courtney Mazza – $5 million, to be exact. The 39-year-old “X Factor” host married longtime fiancee Courtney, 31, in a splashy beachside ceremony in exotic Punta Mita, Mexico, with their 2-year-old daughter Gia serving as flower girl on Dec. 1. But before walking down the aisle, sources say Courtney made him sign a prenup that penalizes him $5 million if she ever catches him cheating! And Courtney has reason to be cautious! Back in 2004, The ENQUIRER broke a worldwide exclusive with photos of lady-killer Mario cheating on Ali Landry with a bevy of hot blondes the day before they wed – and it led to the marriage being annulled after only two weeks. “Courtney isn’t taking any chances,” said a source. “She wouldn’t even allow Mario to have a bachelor party.” The source notes that Courtney and Mario “are incredibly in love and have been living together as if they were married for years. “BUT she’s determined not to be a casualty. Finally, one of these fools speaks out ; even if we already knew what they were doing down in Florida . According to The Huffington Post , Jim Greer’s putting Governor Rick Scott on blast and has nothing to hide…anymore: Jim Greer, the former head of the Florida Republican Party, recently claimed that a law shortening the early voting period in the state was deliberately designed to suppress voting among groups that tend to support Democratic candidates, the Palm Beach Post reports. “The Republican Party, the strategists, the consultants, they firmly believe that early voting is bad for Republican Party candidates,” Greer told the Post. “It’s done for one reason and one reason only…‘We’ve got to cut down on early voting because early voting is not good for us.’” The HB 1355 law, which was passed by Florida’s Republican legislature and signed by Gov. Rick Scott (R) in Nov. 2011, cut the number of early voting days from 14 to eight. It was publicly sold as an effort to reduce voter fraud and to save money, but Greer says that this was simply a “marketing ploy.” Greer served as Florida’s GOP chairman from 2006 until 2010 when he was forced to resign after allegedly stealing money from the party. He was arrested and his case is pending. Scott’s predecessor, Republican-turned-Independent Charlie Crist, resisted efforts from Republicans to shorten the state’s early voting period, citing reasons that mesh with Greer’s claims. In an interview with The Huffington Post earlier this month, Crist said the new law is clearly aimed at curbing turnout among Democrats. “The only thing that makes any sense as to why this is happening and being done is voter suppression,” he said. Crist added, “People have fought and died for our right to vote, and unfortunately our legislature and this governor have decided they want to make early voting less available to Floridians rather than more available … It’s hard for me as an American to comprehend why you don’t make democracy as easy as possible to exercise for the people of our state. It’s frankly unconscionable.” Greer also acknowledged that the effort to restrict early voting would directly affect turnout among Florida’s African Americans, a demographic that consistently supports Democrats. “The sad thing about that is yes, there is prejudice and racism in the party but the real prevailing thought is that they don’t think minorities will ever vote Republican,” he told the Post.
