Art Linkletter Dies at 97

Art Linkletter, one of television’s great emcees of the ’50s and ’60s, died today at age 97 in Los Angeles. Linketter hosted the radio and TV hit People are Funny and the long-running series House Party , which featured a famous segment called “Kids Say the Darndest Things” (later expanded into a full show by Bill Cosby, where Linkletter played wingman).
