Halle Berry does not want to move to France with young daughter Nahla and fiance Olivier Martinez to spite Gabriel Aubry – she fears for her life, according to reports. TMZ reports that Halle is motivated by security in asking a judge for permission to move to France with Nahla – something Gabriel Aubry is trying to block. There have apparently been serious threats to Halle’s life – from one man in particular – and she feels the move out of the country is a life or death situation. Robert Hoskins, a mentally unstable man, escaped from a mental institution last week and has made threats against Halle, specifically to “slit her throat.” Hoskins threatened to slit Madonna’s throat in the past and was actually shot by her bodyguard in 1995 after he trespassed onto the pop star’s property. As if that weren’t enough, another stalker who recently trespassed onto Halle’s property multiple times in the past has just been released from jail. Halle is particularly concerned because Starmaps and some Hollywood bus tours literally take tourists to her doorstep, and it freaks her out. The actress is also concerned that Gabriel Aubry , Nahla’s father, is parading in front of paparazzi almost daily and possibly putting her at risk. A judge has yet to rule on her request to skip town. [Photo: WENN.com]
Through 26 years of rumors, speculations and tabloid scandals Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham’s non-traditional relationship has stood the test of time. Winfrey and Graham, CEO and founder of S. Graham & Associates, began dating in 1986 after ending her then relationship with Reginald Chevalier . In spite of the gossip and rumors of separation, Oprah and Stedman have continued to blossom in their love and support of one another. In 2010 during an interview with Jenny McCarthy, Oprah rebuffed these claims stating, “We’ve never broken up once. They’re always lies,” said Oprah, adding, “I do regret ever mentioning him” in the press. READ MORE ‘Black History In Love’: Make It Last Forever: Jay-Z And Beyonce In the past few years, Oprah has opened up about her personal life, demonstrating that long-term couples can find happiness living non-traditional lives, without marriage and children. Why She Loves Him: In her 2010 interview with Barbara Walters, Oprah stated of Stedman, “I don’t know of another man on this planet who could have lived this life with such dignity, such grace and such respect and humility in it and still hold his own and be his own.” Despite Oprah’s significant fame, Stedman has maintained his own identity and remained by her side through it all. During her appearance on the Piers Morgan Show , Oprah candidly discussed a family member selling her out to the tabloids for $20,000. In response to Stedman’s support at that traumatic time in her life, she said, “here is someone who is willing to stand in and stand up for you. And that is love.” Why He Loves Her: Though the two rarely make public appearances together, Stedman surprised the audience by walking out on stage and paying tribute to Oprah during Part 2 of the ‘Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular.’ “It really does amaze me that I get to be around a woman who changes peoples’ lives every day and who also takes her own lunch to work,” Stedman said. “I cannot, honey, believe that a colored girl from the backwoods of Mississippi has done all that you have done … But you know what really is amazing? You have done this, sweetheart, through all of the sacrifices you have made and the humility that you have and through God’s amazing grace. I love you for making a difference in my life.” READ: 5 Embarrassing Black Moments We Wished Never Happened Why They Work: Again during her Piers Morgan appearance, Oprah said it best “the reason why this relationship has worked as well as it has is that we each got to define ourselves in it and not in a traditional form.” In the early 2000s, Oprah and Stedman made a conscious effort to pull back on their public appearances together, stating that “every time we showed up in public… there’d be another exploitative story.” Maintaining their privacy and the integrity of their relationship has definitely been the keystone to their success as a couple. Why We Love Them: Oprah and Stedman have battled it out with the media for the past 26 years, choosing to live outside of society’s norms and embracing their own definition of happiness. Oprah once said about her relationship, “the truth of the matter is, had we gotten married we wouldn’t be together now, because in no way is this a traditional relationship.” Thus proving that happiness doesn’t have to be defined by a ring or a label.

Model, who just released ‘Fame’ single, says on ‘RapFix Live,’ ‘To be bullied through music … it’s not fair to me.’ By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Amber Rose on “RapFix Live” Photo: Natasha Chandel/ MTV News Amber Rose is done with the drama! On Tuesday On Tuesday the stately model crossed over into artist mode when she released her new pop single “Fame” online, then she showed off some acting chops when she dropped the trailer for her upcoming film “Gang of Roses 2” just a few hours later. Unfortunately for Amber, her new endeavors aren’t the only things that have people talking. Her relationship with Kanye West still comes under much scrutiny even though the pair has been broken up for a number of years. On Wednesday’s (January 11) episode of “RapFix Live,” Rose took to the red couch to address all of the rumors regarding her and Kanye for the last time. Things got so emotional that she eventually broke into tears. “Today on your show, I just want to let it be known that I am so done with the Kanye questions,” she told Sway. “That’s my past, I’m done with it. “I’m done, I’m moving on with a new career. I’m in love with Wiz. I’m happy. I just want to move on with my life, and we can get everything out right now and then I’m done.” Amber is currently in a relationship with Wiz Khalifa , but her past romance with West still comes up in headlines. Whether it was on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy , where many of the songs seemed to be directed at Rose, or the Throne’s November Philadelphia concert where Yeezy thanked Amber’s native city for making her, the two former lovers are still constantly linked. Rose made it clear that she is happily in love with Wiz. “I’m so happy now that I actually have a gentleman, a great guy that I love so much,” she said of Khalifa . “Wiz knows that I never loved a man the way that I love him. He knows that, he’s very secure with that.” Still, after her very public breakup with West, there is lingering pain when Rose is mistreated by people in public. “I have people throwing things at me in the street because they’re fans of Kanye,” Amber said before she started to cry on set. “I’m just crying because I don’t deserve to be bullied like that. I’m a nice girl, I don’t bother anybody. I keep my mouth shut because I don’t want any trouble.” Putting all of the drama behind her was step one. Now, Amber looks to focus on her music career and acting career. She is currently working on her debut album and the film “Gang of Roses 2,” which will be released on February 14. “To be bullied through music and stuff like that, it’s not fair to me,” Rose continued while sobbing. “I don’t deserve that, and I’m sick of being bullied.” What do you think of Amber Rose’s tearful revelation? By Jocelyn Vena Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Photo: Denise Truscello/ WireImage There was a lot of love this year thanks to some of our favorite couples of 2011 , but there was also some heartache. And some of the biggest splits of the year made some of the biggest headlines. As the year comes to a close, MTV News reflects on some of the buzziest breakups of the past 12 months. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony In July, the “American Idol” judge and her “Papi” called it quits after two kids and seven years of marriage . Despite the split, the two seem to remain on good terms, being spotted together shooting their reality show, “Q’Viva.” Lopez referenced their ability to work together when she spoke to Vanity Fair , sharing, “We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. … He will always be in our lives.” Which celebrity breakup was the biggest of 2011? Love and Light,” the former “Punk’d” star tweeted about the end to his six-year marriage from the Hollywood A-lister. Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Days before Valentine’s Day, Ashlee and Pete confirmed they were divorcing . Over the course of their three-year marriage , the two fended off rumors of marital woes and had frequently been spotted side by side supporting one another. Eventually, the pair split over “irreconcilable differences.” They have a son, Bronx. Ben Gibbard and Zooey Deschanel They were every indie fan’s dream couple, but in November, Gibbard and Deschanel announced they would no longer be singing the same tune. Married only two years, sources close to the couple described the split as “mutual and amicable.” Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries This became the mother of all celeb splits in the past 12 months. Limited release of ‘Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol,’ however, had record-breaking sales. By Kevin P. Sullivan Robert Downey Jr. in “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” More disappointing returns and one record-breaking bright spot were the stories of this past weekend’s box office. The two new wide releases, “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” and “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked,” led the weekend receipts but failed to live up to the high expectations set by the previous movies in each franchise. But the limited IMAX release of “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” signaled more of an uptick in ticket sales. “Holmes” may have won the weekend with an estimated $40 million, according to Box Office Mojo , but that figure fell far below the original’s $62.3 million in 2009. Lukewarm reviews may have contributed to the slump, but most critics said the sequel, at the very least, lived up to the original. The duo of Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law couldn’t capture the same box-office magic as two years ago. “Chipwrecked” couldn’t come close to the numbers posted by the past two entries in the series, sinking to a distant second behind “Holmes” with an estimated $23.5 million during its opening weekend. That’s a $25.4 million drop from 2009’s “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” and a $20.8 million fall from the original. The tumble in tickets came despite a “B+” cinema score. “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol,” on the other hand, broke records with its limited open. The film launched on roughly 300 IMAX screens around the country and raked in an impressive $13 million. That broke the record for the highest-grossing limited opening ever. “Ghost Protocol” opens wide on Wednesday. Last week’s leader, the even more disappointing “New Year’s Eve” and “The Sitter” rounded out the top five with huge dips in their second weekends. “New Year’s Eve” fell 43 percent, earning just $7.4 million, and Jonah Hill’s “Sitter” dropped even further with $4.4 million. In smaller releases, despite snubs from the Screen Actors Guild and the Golden Globes , “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” continued to put up solid numbers. The spy film expanded from four to 16 theaters and added an estimated $452,000 to its 10-day total of $852,000. What movies are you planning to see this holiday season? Leave your comments below!
