But on Monday (September 27), Wayne’s 28th birthday, the #1 Stunna can’t celebrate with his loved one like he wants to. Wayne is still incarcerated on Rikers Island. “It ain’t kicked in,” Baby told MTV News. “My family, I like to do things for him for his birthday, you hear me? This the first time we not gonna get a chance to do that. But he is putting a new album out called I Am Not a Human Being. We pop bottles for him while he’s gone.” Wayne’s album landed online Monday; 10 songs are being sold digitally, and on October 12, a physical copy of the album will land at retailers. That version has 13 tracks. “When Wayne do what he do, he takes serious pride in his work,” Birdman told us in Miami last week for the kickoff of Drake’s Light Dreams and Nightmares Tour . “Nothing we do is half-stepping or half-cocked. I think it’s a great album. To me, he’s switching back. This album has no Vocoder; he’s back to raw rap. He’s just rapping how he’s feeling. He’s a genius, so the music is always gonna be great. He wanted to put I Am Not a Human Being out to show people he’s always in the building. Every album we put out, we’re going to do the most. We’re gonna go for it. We’re never gonna come half- cocked. You expect to see a lot, you gonna get a lot. It’s a great album.” Wayne has exactly 39 days left on his sentence until he comes home November 4. Birdman said he’ll most likely go see his family right away. “That’s my son. I love him. You always gonna miss a loved one. At the same time, we doing what we have to do,” the Cash Money CEO said. “Work hard. We all excited he’s about to come home. He’s happy. He wanna get out that place. That ain’t no place for him to be. Everybody is energized that he’s coming home. He walked the little walk. That was a left turn in our life. ‘I know Brandy’s very driven,’ she tells MTV News of one fellow dancer. By Jocelyn Vena Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani on “Dancing with the Stars” Photo: Adam Larkey/ABC Audrina Patridge may have tackled the cha-cha on last week’s “Dancing With the Stars,” but now the former “Hills” star is ready to take things up a couple of notches when she hits the stage for this week’s challenge: the quickstep. “I’m taking in everything the judges told me, [and] I’m using that as motivation to become a better dancer,” she told MTV News about her second week on the show. “We’re going to start on the quickstep and push the limits.” Patridge and her “DWTS” partner, Tony Dovolani, think the judges will be impressed by their dance moves and the beauty of the dance. “It’s really pretty,” Patridge said. “Tony’s shaving his legs for it!” Last week, fans said goodbye to David Hasselhoff , but that still leaves quite a few celebrities as Patridge’s competition. “I think everyone’s really good. I know Brandy’s very driven; she wants to win really bad. She’s really good,” she said. “Jennifer Grey is really good too. Rick Fox is good. Kyle [Massey] is hilarious. It’s really not that competitive. Everyone’s really supportive of each other. We bonded.” Patridge, however, isn’t the only MTV star burning up the dance floor every week, but she said there’s no beef between her and “Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino . “I talked to Mike. He’s a real sweet guy. Watching ‘Jersey Shore,’ that’s not him at all,” she shared. “He’s so sweet and nice and funny.” While Patridge lives to dance another week, her main focus is making sure she gets the quickstep just right. “I’m feeling relieved and happy, and I can’t wait to get back into the studio and start learning the quickstep,” she said. “Tony showed me some of the steps last week. Now we’re really going to work hard and focus on that dance only. “It’s very different than the cha-cha,” she continued. “The quickstep is very fast. ‘I’m definitely involved in the design, the colors, textures, cuts,’ former ‘Hills’ star tells MTV News. By Kara Warner Tony Dovolani and Audrina Patridge Photo: ABC If her enthusiastic Twitter feed is any indication, Audrina Patridge and partner Tony Dovolani (also an avid tweeter ) are ready to wow their fans on the “Dancing With the Stars” season premiere Monday night (September 20). When we caught up with the former “Hills” star recently, she told us that, aside from all her sore muscles, she was having a blast getting to know her partner and all his dance techniques. “He is amazing,” she said. “He’s such a great teacher. He’s very professional, and we have a lot of fun together. It’s really fun. I look forward to going to rehearsal every day.” Regarding the challenges she’s faced in learning so many new steps and routines, we wondered whether having to dance in high heels adds to the difficulty. “It’s not that bad, because I’m used to wearing 5- or 6-inch heels,” the stiletto-sporting Patridge said. “The ballroom heels are actually 2 or 2 and a half inches [high]. I had to get to that height, because I’m used to really high heels, so it’s not bad at all.” In addition to Patridge’s fancy footwork, one more thing to pay attention to when you tune into the show’s premiere are her flashy costumes, which she had a hand in designing. “All the costume designers are really good,” Patridge said. “I’m giving them tear sheets and different ideas that I like to inspire each costume, but it really depends on your body and what looks good on each person. I’m definitely involved in the design, the colors, textures, cuts and this and that, so it’s really fun.” When asked if she had a favorite costume yet, complete with the famously flashy ballroom dance accessories — i.e., feathers, sequins and ruffles — Patridge hadn’t decided. “I don’t know yet, because each dance is so different, so it requires a different costume,” she said. “Whether ruffles or fringe, I can’t say, but I love everything. This Dancing With The Stars garbage is normally a pretty good workout that turns half decent soft chicks into hard bodied half decent chicks, so I’m looking forward to what’s going to happen to Audrina Patridge’s tight little body. No, but mastering the dance steps and learning an entire routine for the show sure is challenging, the “Hills” alum told Us Weekly. “My legs are so sore!” The 11th season premieres September 20, and Patridge, 25, is paired up with pro Tony Dovolani . Other celebs she’ll be competing against this season include Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Bristol Palin, Brandy, David Hasselhoff, Florence Henderson, Jennifer Grey, Michael Bolton, Margaret Cho, Rick Fox and Kurt Warner. Patridge also told the magazine that she still has difficulty “going through the entire routine without stopping, because you run out of breath. It’s like, ‘I don’t know if I can stand this for 15 more hours!’ I’m really hard on myself. I’d rather just keep going and going and going instead of taking a break.” The work may be challenging, but there’s a reward, she’s discovering. “My calves and my legs are really getting tighter,” she said. As for how she’s really holding up? Dovolani said she’s a force to be reckoned with. “Right now she’s her own competition — she pushes herself to the end,” Dovolani told the magazine. When MTV News caught up with Patridge last month, she raved about Dovolani. “He is amazing,” she said. “He’s such a great teacher. He’s very professional, and we have a lot of fun together.
