Ice Cube Thinks Drake’s Spot At The Top of The Game Is Coming to An End

Wiggins/WENN.com  Many people have been waiting on Drake to respond to Pusha T’s new classic diss record before declaring a winner, but Hip-Hop OG Ice Cube feels that Drake’s rap supremacy is coming to an end and not just because of the scathing diss record either. During an interview on SANACAST, Cube admitted that he felt Drake’s come to the end of his royal road. He said, “I think your reign just becomes over. I think that the audience has determined that more. You get three years of you can own the airwaves but then it’s time for somebody else. That’s just been the pattern. That was the pattern with me.” He’s not wrong. Aside from Jay-Z’s reign from the late 90’s to the mid 00’s, it’s hard to think of another rapper who had the game in a chokehold for longer than three years. And though Cube feels that Pusha might’ve gone too far in “The Story of Adidon,” he doesn’t think he himself violated anyone in his own classic diss record “No Vaseline.” “I went in but I didn’t go too far… I didn’t really speak on families and kids and mamas and daddies. I kept it personal but contained, and I didn’t start it, so…” Check out the interview below and let us know if you think Cube has a point.

Dear Bossip: My Boyfriend Is Nice But He Has No Ambition & I’m Falling For A Married Man

Dear Bossip , I have been with the father of my two kids for 10 years.  We are by far not the perfect couple, but we have been solid. I am 28 years old and he is 24 years old. The last year or so I have been having mixed emotions because we are not where we should be in life. He has a GED and works jobs, but he doesn’t have a career, and he is not motivated. I keep telling him I want us to have better, but it’s like he does not understand. On the other hand, I have a male friend who we are just that. We never did anything that we should not have. He is married and I am in a complicated situation. We have known each other for a little over a year. My friend is a well-educated well-rounded guy with dreams and aspirations. Recently, we have kind of been flirting and getting to know each other more in depth, and I think I am falling in love with him. My kid’s father is such a nice guy. He treats me like a queen and is a great father, but he is not established. My friend on the other hand is established, and I don’t want to turn down the possibility of us being friends first, and that it could work between us even though he is married. I know a lot about his situation with his wife and it doesn’t seem like a forever thing. What do I do? Do I just back up and don’t cross that line of friendship because I don’t want it to turn bad. Currently, my kid’s father and I are working on ourselves, and, yes we are still having sex. We have a mutual understanding that we are taking time to re-evaluate things. I don’t want to hurt my kid’s father, but I also do not want to be hurt neither. – Between A Rock And A Hard Place Dear Ms. Between A Rock And A Hard Place , Ratchet, ratchet, ratchet! Those are my words for and about you. But, let me back up a minute. You’ve been with your boyfriend for 10 years, which means you were 18 years old, and he was 14 years old when you started dating? Uhm, isn’t that illegal to be dating a minor? So, you were already being ratchet 10 years ago at 18 years old, and now because you don’t think things are going where you want them to with your boyfriend, you’re talking about stepping out of your relationship to sleep with a married man? Huh? Are you serious? Do you see the pattern you have with men? You were dating a minor, which is wrong by all measures of the fact. He was still developing physically, emotionally, and mentally, and you took advantage of him. And, please don’t sit up here and say he was mature for his age. Ma’am, I will smack the –ish out of you. How would you feel if an 18 year old boy came home with your 14 year old daughter? Yeah, but you don’t like that idea. But, hold on, now you want to start dating a married man? Someone else’s husband?  Uhm, yeah, you seriously have mental and emotional problems and you need help. Then, you have the audacity to say that he is not where you want him to be because he has a GED, works jobs, and has no motivation. However, he treats you like a queen, is a great father, working, and a nice guy. However, you say that you want better for the both of you, but, ma’am, what are you bringing to the table. What do you have to offer? I noticed that you left that out of the conversation. You’re complaining he has jobs, and no career. Uhm, so what is your career? What are you holding down? And, since you’re complaining about having and doing better, then explain to me why you are not married? Why have you been dating for 10 years, playing house, shacking up, and you have two kids, playing family, but there is no ring on your finger? (I’ll wait while you ponder that.) Now, because you’re not happy at home you figure the best resolution to your situation is to sleep with a married man. You figure that instead of talking and effectively communicating with your man about your feelings, how to move forward, and make the necessary steps toward a united goal, instead you seek comfort in the arms of a married man? And, you want to throw your boyfriend under the bus because you’re the ratchet trifling a** who is willing to jeopardize her relationship for a fling. SMDH! Some of you women are a piece of work. The man is married. He is not your friend. You don’t have anything in common with him. Despite that you may feel you have something in common with him, but you don’t. You’re enamored and impressed with his accolades and that he has dreams. And, he is selling you on his pipe dreams and your thirsty dumba** is falling for them with your lips touted up slurping on his nut sac. So typical. And, for the record he is not going to leave his wife. He just wants to smash, and you will have a momentary affair, and it will be over because the novelty of new p***y will wear off for him, and you will be just another chick he cheated on with his wife. You will stalk him, trying to keep the relationship going, and he may come back, and then you’ll have unprotected sex. And, BAM! You’ll end up pregnant, but you won’t know which man is the father, and, we all know how this story is going to end. What’s so sad is that you are comparing your man to a married. Why? There is no comparison. He is married, and the fact that you said he is established, well, yes, he is establishedly married (I made that word up. LOL!) Nevertheless, he is off limits, but knowing your ratchet a** you’re going to ignore all warnings and caution because you’re falling in love with him. Bwahahahahaha. Girl, stop! Falling in love my a**. You just want to get some d**k. You love playing the game of off-limits and dangerous liaisons with men. Remember, your boyfriend was 14 years old when you started dating him. He was off limits, yet, you pursued that relationship. You’re dangerous, and need some help. So, your options are either to sit with your boyfriend. Be honest and frank with him about what you’re feeling, desiring, and how to proceed to get both of your needs met. You mentioned that you’re working on re-evaluating your relationship. Well, take this time to set an action plan of how to move forward. It’s been 10 years of the same damn thing, but you’re not married. Why not? How can you move toward that goal? Then, you discuss his goals, desires, and dreams. What does he want for himself, and his family? Where does he see himself a year, two, or five years from now? Is he interested in being married? And, if you feel that neither of you are on the same page, you have two different dreams, goals, and desires for your relationship, then it may be time to end the relationship and move on. And, no, that does not mean you move on to the married man. He is off limits. Leave that man alone. And, you can’t be friends. You can’t be associates. You have no reason to be in contact or communication with him. Instead, I need for you to work on you, and get into some therapy to figure out why you have this desire and need to be with men who are off limits to you. Why do you pursue men that present some element of danger? You need to work on that, and get to the root of yourself. Something is at the core, and you’re going to seriously need to resolve this before you start dating or being any other man. Because if you don’t resolve this, you will continue to repeat this pattern at the detriment of yourself, and your children. – Terrance Dean Hey Bossip Fam, what do you think? Scientists Say They Can Now Test String Theory

The idea of the “Theory of Everything” is enticing – that we could somehow explain all that is. String theory has been proposed since the 1960’s as a way to reconcile quantum mechanics and general relativity into such an explanation. However, the biggest criticism of String Theory is that it isn't testable. But now, a research team led by scientists from the Imperial College London unexpectedly discovered that that string theory also seems to predict the behavior of entangled quantum particles. As this prediction can be tested in the laboratory, the researchers say they can now test string theory. “If experiments prove that our predictions about quantum entanglement are correct, this will demonstrate that string theory 'works' to predict the behavior of entangled quantum systems,” said Professor Mike Duff, lead author of the study. String theory was originally developed to describe the fundamental particles and forces that make up our universe, and has a been a favorite contender among physicists to allow us to reconcile what we know about the incredibly small from particle physics with our understanding of the very large from our studies of cosmology. Using the theory to predict how entangled quantum particles behave provides the first opportunity to test string theory by experiment. But – at least for now – the scientists won’t be able to confirm that String Theory is actually the way to explain all that is, just if it actually works.” This will not be proof that string theory is the right 'theory of everything' that is being sought by cosmologists and particle physicists,” said Duff. “However, it will be very important to theoreticians because it will demonstrate whether or not string theory works, even if its application is in an unexpected and unrelated area of physics. “String theory is a theory of gravity, an extension of General Relativity, and the classical interpretation of strings and branes is that they are quantum mechanical vibrating, extended charged black holes. The theory hypothesizes that the electrons and quarks within an atom are not 0-dimensional objects, but 1-dimensional strings. These strings can move and vibrate, giving the observed particles their flavor, charge, mass and spin. The strings make closed loops unless they encounter surfaces, called D-branes, where they can open up into 1-dimensional lines. The endpoints of the string cannot break off the D-brane, but they can slide around on it. Duff said he was sitting in a conference in Tasmania where a colleague was presenting the mathematical formulae that describe quantum entanglement when he realized something. “I suddenly recognized his formulae as similar to some I had developed a few years earlier while using string theory to describe black holes. When I returned to the UK I checked my notebooks and confirmed that the maths from these very different areas was indeed identical. “Duff and his colleagues realized that the mathematical description of the pattern of entanglement between three qubits resembles the mathematical description, in string theory, of a particular class of black holes. Thus, by combining their knowledge of two of the strangest phenomena in the universe, black holes and quantum entanglement, they realized they could use string theory to produce a prediction that could be tested. Using the string theory mathematics that describes black holes, they predicted the pattern of entanglement that will occur when four qubits are entangled with one another. (The answer to this problem has not been calculated before.) Although it is technically difficult to do, the pattern of entanglement between four entangled qubits could be measured in the laboratory and the accuracy of this prediction tested. The discovery that string theory seems to make predictions about quantum entanglement is completely unexpected, but because quantum entanglement can be measured in the lab, it does mean that there is way – finally – researchers can test predictions based on string theory. But, Duff said, there is no obvious connection to explain why a theory that is being developed to describe the fundamental workings of our universe is useful for predicting the behavior of entangled quantum systems. “This may be telling us something very deep about the world we live in, or it may be no more than a quirky coincidence”, said Duff. “Either way, it's useful.” http://www.universetoday.com/72531/scientists-say-they-can-now-test-string-theor… added by: pjacobs51

For Climate Change Piece, ABC’s Dan Harris Fails to Mention Agenda of Global Warming Scientist

Good Morning America’s Dan Harris on Friday filed a report on extreme weather and failed to mention the agenda of a global warming scientist. Elizabeth Vargas teased the segment by fretting, ” And coming up next, from killer heat waves to fires to those devastating floods in Pakistan and in Iowa, why all the severe weather? Is it global warning?” Harris interviewed no skeptics of man-made global warming for the piece. He did, however, talk to scientist Gavin Schmidt, identified only as working for NASA. Schmidt predicted doom: “The unusual heat waves, the unusual rainfall events will not be unusual in 10, 20, 30, 40 years’ time.” Not mentioned by Harris? Schmidt also writes for RealClimate.org, a blog site that has been endorsed by Al Gore and is hosted by the liberal Environmental Media Services. Citing floods in Iowa and Pakistan, Harris wondered, “But these sorts of extreme weather events are getting more common and are predicted to get even more so. So we’re looking at a planet potentially where the unusual becomes quite usual?” He did pose one challenging question to Schmidt: “But, skeptics push back and ask what about the huge snowstorms over the winter that crippled Washington, D.C.? Doesn’t that seem to argue against this pattern that scientists talk about?” But, no one skeptical of climate change was featured and Harris ended the piece by warning, “And Americans and the world, [Schmidt] says, need to get ready for it.” For more on Schmidt, including some critical comments he made about NewsBusters’ Noel Sheppard, go here . A transcript of the August 13 segment, which aired at 7:45am EDT, follows: 7:41 tease ELIZABETH VARGAS: And coming up next, from killer heat waves to fires to those devastating floods in Pakistan and in Iowa, why all the severe weather? Is it global warning? 7:45 GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: This winter, we were walloped by snow. This summer, weltering heat. Pakistan fighting its worst floods ever. Russia, its worst wildfires ever. Both sparked by extreme weather. That has put the debate over climate change and global warming front and center once again. And Dan Harris put himself right in the thick of it. ABC Graphic: Summer of Heat, Fire and Floods: Is Climate Change to Blame? DAN HARRIS: It has been a long, miserable summer all over the planet. Here at home, we’ve had the hottest year on record. There have been killer heat waves and also those devastating floods in the Midwest. Over in Russia, the hottest summer on record with thousands dead and hundreds of brush fires destroying wheat crops. In Pakistan, the heaviest monsoon rains on record leaving 14 million people homeless. And in the arctic, the largest chunk of ice to break away from a glacier since scientists started monitoring. Add it all up and does it mean global warming is here? Well, scientists say you can’t blame any one weather event on global warming. But these sorts of extreme weather events are getting more common and are predicted to get even more so. So we’re looking at a planet potentially where the unusual becomes quite usual? GAVIN SCHMIDT PHD (NASA): That’s exactly right. The unusual heat waves, the unusual rainfall events will not be unusual in 10, 20, 30, 40 years’ time. HARRIS: And that’s a bad thing for a lot of people. SCHMIDT: That is a bad thing for a lot of people. HARRIS: But, skeptics push back and ask what about the huge snowstorms over the winter that crippled Washington, D.C.? Doesn’t that seem to argue against this pattern that scientists talk about? SCHMIDT: Well, nobody ever said that it would never snow again. I mean, you’re still going to get cold anomalies but they’re just going to happen less often. And soon they won’t happen hardly at all whereas the other anomalies will come more and more frequently. HARRIS: And Americans and the world, he says, need to get ready for it. Two Astronauts Spacewalking Outside International Space Station

static guim According to Time.com, there are two astronauts that are spacewalking outside the International Space Station. These astronauts are Rick Mastracchio and Clayton Anderson, members of Discovery’s visiting crew, ventured out early Friday on the first spacewalk of their mission. Their mission is to remove a new ammonia tank from the shuttle and disconnect the station’s old tank that supplied the cooling system. It will take three spacewalks to complete the job. Mastracchio and Anderson were supposed to do some battery work on the far left end of the space station, along the sprawling power truss. But NASA canceled the task this week because of concern the two might get shocked. The work instead will be carried out on the next shuttle flight, once astronauts’ suits are better protected.
