Remember the time when Murder Inc. absolutely ruled the hip hop scene? Ashanti, Lloyd, Charli Baltimore, Vita and the king of it all, Ja Rule, topped the charts in the early 2000s. They were like the Young Money of that generation. Well, lucky New Yorkers got a trip down memory lane last night with the chance to see some of the members of Murder Inc. reunite on stage at the Dirty Money concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Opening act, Lloyd, brought out Ashanti and they performed their single, “Southside” in front of a surprised and excited crowd. Then Ja Rule joined them on stage as he and Ashanti performed “Always On Time”. Wow, those songs definitely bring back memories!
