Will they? Won’t they? Should they?!? As rumors of a Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez reconciliation continue to make their way around the Web, one important person has spoken out and made her feelings very well known: Pattie Mallette wants these kids together. “Justin’s mom has always been very close to Selena, and she’s impressed by what a good influence she’s been on her son,” an insider tells Radar. “ Pattie’s been pushing hard for Justin to get back with Selena.” It certainly is true that Justin’s name has been in the news for all the wrong reasons since his split with Gomez in late December. New Justin Bieber pot photos may soon surface and the artist’s friendships with Lil Za and Lil Twist continue to cause concerns. Says this source: “Pattie believes that if Selena would just get back together again with Justin she could soon get him back on the straight and narrow.” But Gomez herself is reportedly hesitant to do so as long as Bieber keeps such shady friends. What do you think? Should Justin and Selena reunite? Yes, they are meant to be! No, he doesn’t deserve her! No, she doesn’t deserve him! View Poll »
Justin Bieber. Selena Gomez. Sex. Pattie Mallette covered all of these topics during a taped interview for Ellen that will run today, but not in the way you might think. After talking with the host about how much her son loves Disneyland, the 37-year old was asked about his famous girlfriend, gushing over Selena and responding: “She’s fantastic… she’s good for him and they’re great together.” The conversation was then steered toward an unusual decision Pattie made after she gave birth to Bieber and split from his father: she would not have sex again until she re-married. Really! Watch her discuss that decision now:

Perpetual bottom-dweller Hollie Cavanagh lives to see another day. By Adam Graham Skylar Laine and Ryan Seacrest on “American Idol” Photo: Fox Skylar Laine is headed back to Brandon, Mississippi. The 18-year-old country spitfire was sent home on Thursday’s (May 3) “American Idol” results episode, after receiving the fewest number of votes following Wednesday’s performance episode . Nearly 60 million votes were cast, host Ryan Seacrest reported during the show. Laine found herself in the bottom two alongside Hollie Cavanagh. Now that the field is down to five singers, there was no bottom three. When the news was delivered to Laine, she hugged Cavanagh tight at the center of the stage. After composing herself, she sang Miranda Lambert’s “Gunpowder & Lead” as the show closed. Just one night prior, Jennifer Lopez told Laine she had victory in her grasp. “You wanna win, don’t you?” Lopez asked Laine after she sang Dusty Springfield’s “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me,” which followed her earlier performance of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Fortunate Son.” Laine replied affirmatively, to which Lopez said, “I can tell. And you just might with performances like that.” In his assessment of her Wednesday performances, mentor Jimmy Iovine called Laine “a fighter” and praised her for suiting up and showing up “every night.” He said he thought she did well, though he said her take on the Dusty Springfield song lacked the “darkness” of the original. “She doesn’t deserve to go home because of that,” Iovine said, “but it was less than what I know she’s capable of.” In Iovine’s estimation, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez should have landed in the bottom two. He said Phillips has been “coasting” and described his two performances as “very bland.” As for Sanchez, Iovine called her performance of Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary” a “travesty” and said he should have talked her out of singing it when he had the chance. He said her outfit during the song was “too mature” and “too racy” and said the “Idol” wardrobe department was “torpedoing” her. Coldplay also appeared and performed two songs, “Paradise” and “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall,” and fourth-season “Idol” winner Carrie Underwood stopped by and performed “Blown Away,” the title track from her latest album, which hit stores this week. During ‘MTV First: Justin Bieber,’ pop star says ‘As Long As You Love Me’ could be the next track to hit radio. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Sway Calloway Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News Justin Bieber is still riding high off the release of his new video for “Boyfriend.” But with the release of his next album, Believe, not too far off, Bieber told MTV News that fans might get the chance to hear more from the June 19 release sooner rather than later. “Why did I choose ‘Boyfriend’ [for my first single]? I just thought it was … a song that most represented me at the time and what I wanted to put out there, ” he told Sway during “MTV First: Justin Bieber” on Thursday night (May 3). “It’s crazy, because even my next single after that is going to be better.” Bieber didn’t want to give out too many details about this even better next track, but he did reveal that the title recalls the title of a certain hit by ’90s teen idols the Backstreet Boys. “My next single, I don’t have it completely set. … I think it’s ‘As Long As You Love Me.’ It’s midtempo,” Bieber said. “I think it’s edgy.” With no exact details on when fans might get to hear the song, he dished that a song he wrote for his mother, Pattie Mallette, could drop on May 13, whether or not it makes the album. “I wrote a song for my mom. But I’m going to put it out on Mother’s Day,” he said, explaining why Mama Mallette was worthy of her own track, “[It’s] about the struggles, I say in the song. She had me at like the age I am now. [It’s about] just the struggles she went through and how brave she was, and I think the world needed to know that.” What did you think of the “Boyfriend” video? Share your reviews in the comments! Justin Bieber and his family can breathe a sigh of relief today, after the singer’s grandparents were involved in a somewhat serious car accident. According to the Ontario Provincial Police in Perth County, Bieber’s maternal grandfather, Bruce, and maternal grandmother, Diane, were driving outside of Toronto when they ran into an icy section of the road and slammed into a ditch. Their car actually rolled over and flipped 360 degrees, landing back on its wheels. “Count your blessings & forgive ur parents always,” Pattie Mallette, Justin’s mom, Tweeted this afternoon. “U never know what tomorrow holds!!!” Amen, Mrs. Mallette. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have to call home.
My name is Megan and this is my Bieber Experience! It started with Justin Bieber’s tweet, “heading to Disney World for the Christmas parade this weekend!” I live in Orlando, so naturally as a Belieber, I started freaking out. My friend, Tatiana and I called Disney World probably 5 times and talked to the customer service to see if they had any info on him performing. Some people were very rude and short with us saying that they had no information on him even performing in the parade! Finally one lady gave us helpful information saying that the taping would be all day Saturday and we would have to buy full passes to Magic Kindom. Well, we didn’t really want to spend that much money, not knowing if we would meet him, or let alone see him perform! So we had an idea, to go walk around Downtown Disney (which is free) to see if any of his band members, or even him were to hang out there! We got there probably around 2 pm, and just walked hung out and walked around. It got later and both of our phones were dying, so we had to go sit in a restaurant that had wifi so Tatiana could check their tweets on her ipod. Finally, around 9:30, Scooter Braun tweeted “salsa dancing saturday night. we in here, #bongos.” We realized that was a restaurant on the other side of Downtown Disney! We ran all the way there, and waited outside. I circled the restaurant to see if there was a backdoor they would go out of, but there wasn’t, so I went back to the front to wait with Tatiana. When I got to the front I couldn’t find her… but then she appeared and told me Scooter had just left! We ran out to the parking lot and saw him and Carin walking to their car. Tatiana yelled Scooter and he turned around, but we freaked out and turned around and acted like it wasn’t us yelling his name, he got in his car and drove away. But then Tatiana told me she thought she saw Dan Kanter, Justin’s guitarist, so we went back to Bongos, and out front, was Dan Kanter, and Scrappy, sitting with a large group of people. We stood around, still not positive if we wanted to go up with the chance that it wasn’t them, and embarrass ourselves! But finally a small, woman with long brown hair walked up to them and they all hugged and laughed, and the woman resembled Justin’s mom, Pattie Mallette! I walked around them, acting like I was looking for someone, so I could get a full view of what the woman looked like. I saw her, and realized it WAS HER! I ran back to Tatiana, and we waited for Pattie and her friend to walk past us, when they past us. We went up to her and said, “Excuse me, Ms. Pattie, can we have a picture with you?” She said of course! I was like starstruck, and said, “Oh my gosh, you are really pretty!” She blushed and said “Thank you sweetie!” She was so cute, and sweet, and know that she is doing a great job raising Justin! Next, we KNEW that is was Dan Kanter standing 20 feet away from us, but we didn’t want to go up and interrupt their conversation, so we just waited until they left to ask. So they started walking out, and we went up to Dan and asked him if we could take a picture with him! He said, Yeah! Sure! We took a few cause of the lighting was wierd, but then finally one came out! He asked us if we went to the show, but we said no! We didn’t know when Justin was performing! He said, oh, I’m sorry, but there’s always next time! And we said yes definitely! We waited a total of 10 hours at Downtown Disney that day, so I’m glad we met someone! And to Justin if you ever get to read this! please follow me on Twitter and make my dreams come true! -@meoshea See the original post here: My name is Megan and this is my Bieber Experience! justin bieber mom and dad Pattie Mallette is Justin Bieber mom, she was born in 1976 in Ontario, Canada. She is the daughter of Bruce Dale and Dianne Dale. Pattie Mallette is the only one who has taken care of Justin Bieber since his birth. When Justin was 2 years old, Pattie bought him a drum set that inspired the little boy’s love for music. Justin was enrolled to his first music lesson when he was 4 years old. As a loving mother and a biggest fan, Pattie uploaded the little boy’s video singing a song from Neyo to Youtube. The video got lots of views and it became a viral sensation that eventually started Justin’s music career. Pattie Mallette accompanies Justin to all of his shows. When she cannot accompany Justin herself, her mother Diane would. Both Bruce and Dianne Mallette helped to raise Justin into a good young man. In 2010, Playboy asked Pattie to pose for the magazine, but she rejected the offer not only because she is a good Christian mother, but also because she is too busy supporting her son’s career. Even good things can seem bad when there is too much of it too fast. This is what some insiders are saying about teen sensation Justin Bieber and his meteoric rise to fame. But some people close to the singer are starting to quietly come forward telling of a young man growing increasingly frustrated at the world of celebrity stardom. Bieber’s biggest complaint? No privacy. He is followed now by two body guards every place he goes and there is security outside his door while on the road in Hotels. “People are ALWAYS around him. Changing his close, messing with his hair, taping microphone wires too him, move here, stand there kind of thing. When he moves around, he always moves with a team of people”. They also say Justin is growing tired of having his mother, Pattie Mallette, around twenty-four hours a day. “Justin is starting to grow up and is not happy having his mother shadow him while at home and on tour. He feels that he is old enough to venture out on his own and it makes him feel like a little kid when his mother is always around. He thinks it might not be cool for a kid his age to hang around his mother as much.” Justin is guided through every step of his waking day by managers telling him about everything from what to eat, what to wear, when to sleep, when to work, and what to say. He feels like he has become the very thing he has told is fans he is not – a machine created to sing and make money for the people around him and a music producer’s record label. “He feels like h e has lost a lot of control and everything he does is now about keeping the image, and the machine, moving forward. People book things on his schedule months in advance and he has little time to just relax and be a kid. He travels almost %100 of the time”. His biggest fear is getting sick and not being able to perform because he doesn’t want to let anybody down. He knows on any given day there may be a hundred people earning their paycheck from the “Bieber Machine”. Overseas trips are the worst as somebody on the team is always getting sick from the 5,000 mile flight. “He is also tired of all the scrutiny in his life. In the beginning everybody thought he was gay, and then when he started dating Selena Gomez everybody wanted to kill her!” Bieber tries to play the role of “I’m just a kid who sings”, but now that he is seventeen he is starting to see that those days are gone and that his celebrity status is going to follow him a long time wherever he goes. He is starting to see the payoff for his success – and that payoff is not having much of a normal life. And contrary to what he has told every interview host, he does get tired of the screaming girls – and frequently wears earplugs in public to drown out the noise. “They are always screaming. You can hear them outside the hotel at 6:00 in the morning and at 11:00 at night. Every time he gets out of a car he has to be rushed by a crowed that is screaming at him. It gets old. At first he was great with it, but now you can see it in his eyes – he is growing tired.” But somehow we suspect that Bieber will find his inner strength and push through the drudgery. Not everybody gets this chance to live out their dream – and we’re sure he realizes that as well and is enjoying the good more than he is hating the bad.
