The psychological thriller Mission: Blacklist has attached Robert Pattinson to star as the military interrogator who led the hunt for deposed Iraqi president Saddam Hussein. The film, set to be directed by Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire, is going on the block at the Cannes Market later this month; co-producer Ross Dinerstein promises “a gripping, edge of your seat thriller I have been inspired by Robert and Jean-Stéphane’s dedication to tell this story in the most authentic way possible.” [ Deadline]

3 Of Kanye West’s Albums On Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums Of All Time” List Can you guess which ones?? Three Kanye West albums have made it on to the latest edition of Rolling Stone magazine’s authoritative “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” list, placing him among the greats of popular music. The new ranking, which combines a 2003 list (updated in 2005) with a later survey of the 2000s, saw two Radiohead records join the elite club, while long-established names including Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan also had albums added. Rolling Stone has published the list, along with details of the albums and several new recording histories based on first-hand accounts, in “bookazine” format available for $11.99 on newsstands between Friday and July 25 in the United States. The big beneficiary was U.S. hip-hop star West, who saw 2005 album “Late Registration,” “The College Dropout” (2004) and “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” (2010) make it to the top 500. In total, 30 albums were added and 30 taken away, with the casualties including several artists well-represented on the list already and whose “lesser” albums have now been dropped. The highest entry among recent albums was West’s “Late Registration” at No. 118. Asked whether the relatively low position of recently released albums reflected a barren period for great rock and pop, Hoard replied: “My personal opinion is no. Music is as inspirational as it’s ever been. “Things get clearer as the years pass. If you held this poll in 10 years, say, Arcade Fire could be a lot higher and the same could be said of Kanye West. Reputation and time definitely help an album, especially with pollers like ours.” Radiohead features twice — for “Amnesiac” (2001) and “In Rainbows” (2007), Jay-Z is added for “The Black Album” (2003), Lil Wayne makes it with “Tha Carter III” (2008) and the late Amy Winehouse for “Back to Black.” Among those dropping out to make way for the additions were The Beach Boys (“Sunflower”), David Bowie (“Changesone”), Elton John (“Elton John”) and Madonna (“Music”). What The Hell?? New Mexico Residents With Running Red Light Violations Can Lose Utilities At Their Homes [Video]

SMH. Residents of Las Cruces, New Mexico with outstanding red-light-camera traffic tickets are in danger of having their utilities shut off. The program, placing cameras at intersections, is just over three years old, and in that time violators have run up $2 million in unpaid fines. “Over time we were looking at various options, various ways to recoup that money,” Udell Vigil, the communications director for the City of Las Cruces, told ABC News.com. The fines are broken up between the city, the state of New Mexico and the camera company. The city is owed $600 thousand in unpaid tickets. “We can’t go through the courts; it’s not that type of citation,” said Vigil. “We don’t have legal enforcement authority.” When the city explored options, officials came across Section 28-10 of the Las Cruces Municipal Code, which says, “The city may decline, fail or cease to furnish utility service to any person who may be in debt to the city for any reason, except ad valorem taxes and special assessments,” according to the city website. Despite angry residents, many are acknowledging the responsibility of paying the ticket and other residents are calling to double check they do not have any violations, said Vigil. Vigil provided ABC News with an example of the letter being sent to residents: Dear Mr./Ms. Doe: The City of Las Cruces has issued multiple Notice of STOP (Red Light camera) violations to you as the registered owner of the offending vehicle and as identified on the attached listing. Unfortunately, the STOP fines remain unpaid after several months of attempted collection. Accordingly, you are hereby advised that, unless the STOP fines are paid or other satisfactory payment arrangements are made with the City on or before (date) the City will terminate all current City-provided utility service to the residence located at ______________________ pursuant to Las Cruces Municipal Code Section 28-10, a copy of which is attached. April 27th, 2012 was clearly the best day of my LIFE.  I heard a while ago Justin was going to be in NYC on the 27th and I flipped out. I told my mom and she promised me that she would take me and my friend. When the date got closer, we found out where Justin was going to be since he was accepting an award at a Tribeca Film Festival for the Disruptive Innovation Award. It was all perfect until we found out we had a state math test in the morning and Justin would be arriving a little after the test was over. We took the test and once we were done, we went straight into the city and got to the event. When we got there, he had already went in 10 minutes earlier! I was so mad but I knew I would hopefully see him on his way out.  After waiting a little while, barricades were set up so it was a sign Justin would be coming out any minute.  At first Alfredo and Kenny walked by and got into their car. Everyone was so anxious waiting for Justin to come out.  About 20 minutes later, Justin walked out and came down to meet everyone. He had to walk down these stairs and as he was doing that, he said quietly “SWAGGGGGGGGGG”. It was my turn to meet him and I’ve been planning for years for him to kiss me in a picture and I was hoping he would said okay! I was like to him, “Justin can you kiss me on the cheek?” and Justin said of course and automatically kissed me and was like “MWAHHHHHH!!!” He made this huge sound effect and I was freaking out because he kissed me before I got the picture. I thought that during the picture it showed him pulling away already so I said, “JUSTIN!” and without me saying anything he goes, “YOU DIDN’T GET IT? AWWWH”. I asked him again, “Justin, I don’t think my picture came out, can we take another one?” He leaned in right away and he did that over-exagerated “MWAHHH” sound again!   He was so sweet!  My friend and I ran away screaming on the top of our lungs not knowing how to deal with our lives at that moment. I looked at my picture and was so confused why I was only smirking and not smiling! When your in that situation, you don’t even know what you’re doing, you don’t think, so that’s what happened to me. My 3  friends and I jumped into my mom’s car and we chased Justin’s car for blocks and blocks. At one point I jumped out of the car in the middle of the street and Justin gave me the peace sign thru the window! A few blocks after we saw that his car pulled over and Moshe got out to go into a little market or something. Justin was just waiting in the car with the driver.  Paparazzi surrounded the car from a distance and me and the 3 other girls casually walked up to the car and started to talk to Justin. His window was only half down and he said he was sorry for that, but he didn’t want the paparazzi taking pictures of him and we understood.  He was so sweet and kind, he could have easily said please get away from the car and the driver could have gone out and told us to leave but they didn’t do that. We spoke to him until Moshe came back into the car which was about 5 minutes into our conversation.  Justin politely said to us that he had to go and we let him leave.  This day, was the most amazing day of my life.
