Rihanna And Matt Kemp Break Up

Source cites Rihanna’s busy schedule as a cause for the split. By Jocelyn Vena Rihanna and Matt Kemp Photo: Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images Rihanna and Matt Kemp kicked off 2010 as a couple, but it seems they are bidding the year farewell apart. According to Us Weekly, the singer and her baseball-player beau have split. “It happened over the last few weeks,” a source told the magazine. “She basically was just over it.” The insider added that the pop star has been “so busy” with work that “he just can’t keep up with her crazy travel schedule.” The duo started dating in January and couldn’t keep their relationship under wraps for long, but apparently Kemp got tired of dating a woman with a jet-setting lifestyle. “Matt’s sick of always following after her like a puppy dog all over the world. He wants something more normal,” the source explained. “It was never as serious as it looked. It was always just [about] having fun.” Shortly after they began dating, Kemp threw Rihanna a birthday party in February. In June, Rihanna opened up about the L.A. Dodger to Elle magazine: “I have a boyfriend. I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy. I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.” In November, when she released her latest album, Loud, Rihanna said that her athlete boyfriend enjoyed hearing her softer side on the record. “He really likes, actually, the ballads on the album. Those are his favorite ones,” she said. “I always play him songs when I finish them. I’ll bring them back home and ask him what he thinks. At the end of the day, we still disagree on some things, but for the most part … he loves everything on the album. … ‘Who’s That Chick,’ he doesn’t really like that one. I guess it’s too lightweight pop for him.” Related Artists Rihanna

Saturday Night Live Scorecard: Was Paul Rudd Once Again Overshadowed by His Musical Guest?

Poor Paul Rudd. Last time he hosted SNL , his performance was overshadowed by musical guest Beyoncé (and her “Single Ladies” sketch with Justin Timberlake). This time Rudd had to compete with a Beatle. After a very slow start, the Paul Rudd-hosted edition of SNL recovered into one of the most memorable but wildly unbalanced episodes of the season. Let’s be clear: Rudd did a fine job, but this was Paul McCartney’s episode. Not only did McCartney appear in three different sketches, the former Beatle got four — four! — musical segments: Performing “Jet,” “Band on the Run,” a “Day in the Life”/”Give Peace a Chance” hybrid and “Get Back.” So, how was the rest of the show that didn’t involve McCartney singing? On to the scorecard!

Grey’s Anatomy Pain Scale: Fishing For Answers

Last night’s Grey’s Anatomy episode, “Adrift and At Peace,” featured the most dramatic line reading of the phrase, “There are no bathrooms out there, you know,” ever featured onscreen. And while yes, there were a few other hokey moments that caused Grey’s viewers chest pain and loss of feeling in their extremities, there were also brilliant moments — like when Cristina made an emotional breakthrough whiling holding a 28-pound trout — in last night’s episode that made viewers re-pledge their loyalty to Seattle Grace. So grab that pain reliever of choice as we wade through this week’s pain readings.

Miley Cyrus: Headed for a Breakdown?

Miley Cyrus is putting on a happy face these days, one often seen slobbering all over Avan Jogia . But friends of the singer tell Hollywood Life that she’s actually suffering a lot in the face of her parents’ divorce, as they fear she’s headed down a Demi Lovato-like , destructive path. Is Miley Cyrus headed for a fall? “Miley is trying to be strong going through her parents’ breakup and she loves them both,” a friend claims . “Everyone is reading into each of her every moves, like when she goes out with her mom and no one sees her dad. It’s pushing her buttons.” With filming on the film LOL underway, this source says Cyrus is “trying to focus on her new movie.” However: “Some of us are worried about her. She’s putting on a brave face, but she seems tired and stressed.”

Kate Gosselin: The Kids Miss Jon!

Collin and Alexis Gosselin were expelled from private school. Despite this fact, Kate Gosselin wants to make clear they were NOT expelled. “The school would never use that word,” the grating mom with no friends said. “[Collin and Alexis] weren’t expelled. [The school] didn’t feel like they could meet their needs anymore, so it was decided that they should leave, for now.” So … they were expelled. PEACE OUT, KATE! Seriously, take a hike. [Photo: Pacific Coast News] Collin and Alexis Gosselin , 6, are both being home-schooled by a private tutor who teaches them an “identical curriculum” until they are ready to return to school. But challenges aren’t just academic for the kids – they’re personal. “They’ve been the ones to verbalize the most that they miss Daddy,” Kate says of Jon Gosselin. “I could see that they’re the ones struggling the most.” Hey, dude’s busy with Ellen Ross. Give him a break. The Kate Plus Eight star says Collin and Alexis are seeing a therapist and “doing much, much better” despite suffering from “post-divorce anger.” “[Collin] was upset and saying things out of frustration – he’d crumple his papers and throw them on the floor,” she says … can you blame him? As for the rest of the Gosselin gang – sextuplets Hannah, Leah, Aaden and Joel, and twins Cara and Mady, both 10 – Kate takes it a day at a time. “I’ve kept the stability, the income – everything that they know and love – I’ve come through on that,” she says. “I am doing what my kids need.” Kept the income? More like kept the diva-like spending habits .
