The mother of a terminally ill 2-year-old Pennsylvania boy who served as his parents’ best man at their wedding last weekend confirms that he has died. Christine Swidorsky Stevenson says on her Facebook page that little Logan Stevenson passed away in her arms at 8:18 p.m. Monday at their house. Christine and Sean Stevenson in Jeannette, about 25 miles east of Pittsburgh, and were married at their home with Logan as best man in the ceremony. A family spokeswoman, Sylvia Johnson, confirmed the boy’s death to the AP. His mother says on Facebook, “He is with angels and he’s in no more pain.” She posted that her son was doing poorly. His breathing was rapid, then slowed. After an exam, the mother was informed that he did not have much time. “Sean (his father) and I held him all day he was comfortable with his medication then at 8:18 my son took his last breath in my arms,” her post said. Christine Swidorsky and Sean Stevenson Wedding Young Logan stood with his grandmother, Debbie Stevenson, during a 12-minute wedding ceremony that united Logan’s mother and his father. After a whirlwind week, the Jeannette couple tied the knot in a hastily arranged backyard ceremony that formalized their union and celebrated Logan’s life. The Stevensons abandoned an original wedding date of July 2014 after learning from doctors late last month that their son had 2-3 weeks to live. The couple wanted Logan to see them marry and to be in family photos. If nothing else, they will have that memory of him to cherish with them forever. Logan, who was born October 22, 2010, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. He has Fanconi anemia, a rare disease that often leads to cancer. R.I.P.
These boys are heroes!! Teenagers Save Kidnapped Girl From Pedophile Two teenage boys are being hailed as heroes after they chased a car carrying a kidnapped girl — on their bicycles. Via CNN reports: Five-year-old Jocelyn Rojas was playing in her front yard in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, when she vanished Thursday afternoon. Authorities believe she was abducted by a man who lured her by offering ice cream. For two hours, neighbors and police scoured the area and asked if anyone had seen her. Temar Boggs, 15, and his friend took off on their bicycles to search. About a half-mile away, they spotted Jocelyn in a sedan. But the driver was elusive. “Every time we’d go down the street, he’d turn back around, and then … we’ll follow him,” Temar told CNN affiliate WGAL. The two teens chased the alleged kidnapper on their bikes for 15 heart-pounding minutes. The driver apparently knew he was being followed and gave up. “He stopped at the end of the hill and let her out, and she ran to me and said that she needed her mom,” Temar said. Jocelyn’s relatives and neighbors took turns hugging Temar. “He’s our hero. There is just no words to say,” Jocelyn’s grandmother Tracey Clay said. Police are looking for the suspect, described as a white male between 50 and 70 years old. He was driving a reddish-purple or maroon car with round taillights, WGAL reported. The man was wearing green shoes, green pants and a red-and-white striped shirt. He walked with a limp. Although the suspect remains at large, Temar feels good about finding Jocelyn. “I just feel like I did something very accomplishing today,” the teen said. The girl’s family couldn’t agree more. This is one of those times where the word hero actually applies. Ordinary people under extra ordinary circumstances doing extraordinary things. Well done boys, you have restored some faith in humanity lost in the noise this weekend, and you saved a child from a terrible fate.

An apparently aroused Pennsylvania couple spent a night in jail after they got caught having sex in a public park by 25 bike cops on a training ride. Richard McBride, 37, and Jennifer Harvey, 41, were boning near a baseball diamond at the appropriately named Naylor’s Run Park at 4 p.m. Tuesday. That’s when a swarm of officers from the area rolled through on a bike patrol training ride through the Philadelphia suburbs and saw them on a baseball field. “There they were, on the first base line,” Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said, though they were WELL beyond first base at that point. If you know what we mean! Chitwood then offered this amazing quote: “So there’s a bench, and she is bent over the bench and our friend here is behind her with his pants down to his ankles, just banging away.” Gives you the visual you need right there. The couple, who are from Philadelphia, were arrested and charged with lewdness and disorderly conduct, and later cut loose on $30,000 bail. As for the training exercise, the ride was part of a week-long program that trains cops on how to conduct bike patrols. Looks like it was an early success. “Imagine being arrested by 25 cops,” Chitwood mused. “They were as shocked as the police were.” Seriously. Who gets arrested by one bike cop, let alone 25?
Is this beyotch serious?? Judge Edith Jones Says Blacks And Hispanics Are Predisposed To Crime Via CNN Civil rights groups filed a complaint this week against a federal judge in Houston after she allegedly said during a lecture that some minorities are prone to violence. Judge Edith Jones, who serves on the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and was a Bush-era Supreme Court frontrunner, allegedly made the comment while speaking on the death penalty to The Federalist Society at the University of Pennsylvania in February. The Federalist Society describes itself on its website as “a group of conservatives and libertarians interested in the current state of legal order.” In her remarks, Jones also is alleged to have said race plays no role in the administration of the death penalty, but certain ethnic groups commit certain types of crimes more often than others. Civil rights groups, including the J.L. Turner Legal Association, say Jones’ comments reveal a strong ethnic bias. They are pushing for an investigation that could lead to her removal from the bench. The J.L. Turner Legal Association is an African-American bar association in Dallas. Its president, Mandy Price, told CNN that some attendees were shocked at what they heard and later complained. “The reaction in the room when she made these remarks was one of shock, surprise, and offense,” according to one account that the legal association collected from some of the attendees. Take a look at what this broad had the nerve to fix her mouth to say… According to the some of the accounts in the complaint, the judge said, “Racial groups like African- Americans and Hispanics are predisposed to crime.” They are “‘prone to commit acts of violence,” she said, according to the complaint. When challenges to her comments arose, she allegedly countered them by saying that “blacks and Hispanics” outnumber “Anglos” on death row. 3 words. Ho. Sit. Down. Image via AP
Orlando Shaw has fathered 22 kids by 14 different women. No, those are not misprints. But the Tennessee native doesn’t really see the problem, even though he may soon face jail time for unpaid child support payments and even though the state currently doles out $7,000/month in assistance for his children. “I was young and ambitious and I love women. You can’t knock no man for loving women,” Shaw told the local news this week. Shaw cites his criminal record for why he’s had trouble holding a job down over the years, as past partners have taken him to court on numerous occasions for unpaid support. “I love my kids and I can care less about what anyone thinks about it,” said Shaw. And, sure, he’ll likely end up back in jail for being a deadbeat dead, but his name will live on… and on… and on. “I’ll be sure we’ll be here for years and years to come,” he says of his many families.
Man. Why can’t all local news broadcasts be this entertaining? A montage of clips featuring Philadelphia news anchor Nicole Brewer (a former Miss Pennsylvania) and meteorologist Carol Erickson has gone viral and for very good reason: It certainly looks as if these two totally hate each other! A network spokesperson claims the two are friends and the footage is edited out of context, but when one side is continually rolling her eyes at the other… we’re not sure how else to take it. Watch now and judge for yourself: Anchor Clashes with Meteorologist

When will people learn??? Racist emails = loss of job. Via NBC 12: A Virginia school board is calling for the resignation of one of its members, after he emailed what some called racist and inappropriate messages to his colleagues. This all goes back to the Isle of Wight school board member Herb Degroft and an e-mail he sent containing naked women and a reference to First Lady Michelle Obama. He forwarded two emails from his county email account. One had a picture with bare-breasted, African female warriors with the caption “Michelle Obama’s high school reunion.” Another e-mail claimed Mrs. Obama was paid $50 to model in National Geographic. Some board members say they have been receiving similar e-mails from Degroft since January of 2012. In retrospect, Degroft admits he made a mistake. He says the e-mails were meant to be political, not racist. When it comes to resigning from his position, he said he is not going anywhere. However, that’s up to voters to decide. He wasn’t the only one who forwarded the e-mails. Isle of Wight Supervisor Byron Bailey did as well. The local NAACP and other community members are asking for both men to resign. SMH.
