Random Ridiculousness: 18-Year-Old Boy And 42-Year-Old Wife Arrested For Stealing Neighbors Christmas Decorations

Uhhhhhhhhhh … Via KKTV A married couple allegedly took on the role of “Grinch” this Christmas season and stole Christmas displays from dozens of Colorado Springs families. Jeremy Lewallen, 18, and his 42-year-old wife Carrie Carley were arrested Dec. 19. Police say they used the displays they swiped to decorate their own yard. According to the arrest affidavit obtained by 11 News, a neighbor who had his decorations stolen was driving around his neighborhood when he spotted a very familiar looking Christmas display in the suspects’ front yard. Police served a search warrant there and allegedly found, in the words of one of the theft victims, “a decoration graveyard.” Officers said that both the front and back yards of the home were filled with stolen lawn ornaments and Christmas decorations. The arrest papers say that the couple admitted to stealing about $2,000 worth of decorations. The papers then go on to say that when police asked Lewallen about stealing from families, he “chuckled” and said he didn’t care about who he affected when he stole from others. The man accused of stealing Christmas from others is still behind bars as of Christmas morning. His wife, however, has bonded out and spoke to 11 News Christmas Eve night. She maintains that her husband acted alone. “Every morning he’d go out for a walk, at like 2 or 3, and then there was just more stuff in the yard,” Carley said. “I didn’t know exactly where it all came from.” They GOTTA be cousins, right? “He…I guess he still thinks it’s a game. He doesn’t seem to care really one way or another. … I asked him, and he was like, ‘Well, this is my job.’ And I’m like, ‘Taking from unassuming people is your job?’” When asked if her husband knew he allegedly hurt a lot of people, Carley said he didn’t care. “It doesn’t seem to affect him,” she said. According to Carley, Lewallen also spent time in jail in November for stealing Halloween decorations. 11 News reporter Dustin Cuzick asked her why, then, seeing Christmas decorations pop up in her yard wouldn’t have raised suspicion. “I just didn’t know what to do, you know, I didn’t know if I called if I was going to get in trouble myself or not, you know, because it was in my yard.” The couple faces felony theft charges, which Carley said she is going to fight. The stolen decorations have been returned to their rightful owners. What a dumbazz reason to catch a felony. Hope “your honor” throws the book at him. The biggest book he can find. Hate Crimes: 3rd Baptist Church Vandalized By KKK After Taking Stand Against Deputy Who Wanted To “Squash Blacks Like Roaches”

Not again !! Baptist Church Vandalized By KKK After Racist Deputy’s Comments Via USA Today reports: Members of Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Wakulla County arrived for choir practice Wednesday night to find “KKK” spray-painted on the side of their church. It is the third predominantly black church in the rural county this week that has been vandalized with racial remarks, sparking an FBI investigation into what appear to be hate crimes. Along with two churches on Sunday, a truck at Wildwood Golf Course was also painted with “KKK.” Investigators believe the most recent vandalism happened Wednesday afternoon. Federal officers are working with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office investigating the crimes. Mount Olive is just minutes from New Bridge Hope Missionary Baptist Church and Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church, which were vandalized on Sunday. Several street signs also had “KKK” painted on them. Wakulla County NAACP Organizing Committee President Anginita Rosier said the racially charged vandalism has shocked the community, both white and black. “The whole community is in shock right now that we still have these things occurring,” she said as a member of the church painted over the letters. But the unity of the community has been reassuring. “If there’s a positive out of this negative behavior it’s really bound the citizens of this county together,” Rosier said. “It’s affected everyone to the point that everyone is anxious to see someone held accountable for these crimes.” Wakulla County Sheriff Charlie Creel said investigators cleared a suspect in Sunday’s vandalism on Wednesday, but would be pursuing three more on Thursday. The sheriff’s office had offered a $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. FBI and county investigators were on scene Wednesday night taking paint samples from the street signs and pouring plaster tire molds in a field behind the church. Creel said he is concerned by the rash of apparent hate crimes in the county, but doesn’t think it indicates a coordinated effort. “I don’t think this is an active group that the community’s got to be concerned about,” Creel said, but is instead the work of individuals looking to “stir stuff up.” “They’re cowards hiding behind a spray can,” he said. Dale Landry, vice president of the Florida State Conference of the NAACP, said the problem lies only in a few bold individuals. “We’ve got a problem in Wakulla, but I think Wakulla is rising to the occasion to deal with it,” Landry said. “I want to see (racism) disappear in my lifetime. What we’ve got to do is start working at it and combating it and exposing it.” Mount Olive Pastor Samuel Hayes said he is not deterred from leading a healing in the midst of the racial outbursts. “Any means for harm, God turns into good,” said Hayes, who has been pastor at Mount Olive for 22 years. “This is going to bring us together. I’ve run across so many wonderful people in this county. We’re a family.” The community will hold a prayer vigil on Thursday at New Bridge Hope, the venue of a contentious Nov. 28 town hall meeting following the suspension of five Wakulla County deputies over racially charged online comments. A $5,000 reward had been offered for information leading to the arrest of individuals responsible for the incident. Anyone with knowledge about the crime was urged to call the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office. Please come forth with any information! Continue reading

You Can’t Be Serious: Ferguson Prosecutor Admits He Knows Witnesses Lied To Michael Brown Grand Jury

#IndictDarrenWilson ! Robert McCulloch, the prosecuting attorney over the grand jury investigating the fatal shooting of Mike Brown , recently admitted that he KNEW certain witnesses were lying under oath. In particular McCulloch pointed out that witness #40, the racist, bipolar, convicted felon with serious credibility issues , “CLEARLY” lied about witnessing the moment Officer Darren Wilson shot down the teen. W….T…F???? STLToday reports: Certain witnesses who spoke before the grand jury investigating the Aug. 9 shooting of Michael Brown told obvious lies under oath, St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch said Friday. “Clearly some were not telling the truth,” he said during an interview on KTRS 550. He added that he’s not planning to pursue charges against any lying witnesses. In his first extensive interview since the grand jury decided not to indict Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson, McCulloch said he had no regrets about letting grand jury members hear from non-credible witnesses. “Early on I decided that anyone who claimed to have witnessed anything would be presented to the grand jury,” McCulloch said. He added that he would’ve been criticized no matter his decision. During the interview, McCulloch referenced a woman who claimed to have seen the shooting. This “lady clearly wasn’t present,” McCulloch said. “She recounted a story right out of the newspaper,” backing up Wilson’s version of events. The criticism of that witness fits the questions surrounding Sandra McElroy, also known as Witness 40.   McElroy, who’s admitted to using racial slurs and trying to raise money for Wilson, testified that she saw the entire shooting unfold, and that Brown charged the officer shortly before he was killed — a detail that has proven controversial because of conflicting reports. Investigators picked apart McElroy’s story, saying she could not have left the apartment complex in the way she described. She also gave conflicting accounts of why she was at the scene of the shooting that day and admitted that she has short-term memory problems from a head-on collision that left her with a traumatic brain injury. McCulloch on Friday also said he had no regrets about announcing the grand jury decision after dark on the night of Nov. 24. “There was no good time to make the announcement,” he said. “Whatever was going to happen was going to happen.” SMH @ him being so pompous and matter of fact about this bull isht. Is it too late to #IndictDarrenWilson????

They Ain’t All Bad: New Mexico Officers Help Struggling Shoplifting Dad Buy Baby Formula And Find A New Job

At least they didn’t shoot him … New Mexico Police Help Shoplifting Dad Buy Baby Formula What started as a shoplifting call, turned into something very different for a group of officers and the suspect. Instead of arresting a father for stealing baby formula, four officers ended up helping him and his 11-month-old. Via KRQE reports: The story is quickly spreading on social media. The officers’ Sergeant calls it “old fashioned compassion” in his Facebook post, and it’s already gotten hundreds of shares. An Albertsons employee called Roswell Police Sunday, after spotting a man shoplifting, hiding stolen items in a baby carrier. “We waited at the front door for him, confronted him at the front door,” recalled Officer Joe Mason, of the Roswell Police Department. “We uncovered the baby carrier and found it was baby formula.” Officer Mason, Officer Chris Bradley, along with Officer Anthony Armijo and a New Mexico State Police officer, were there. The officers said the man immediately showed remorse for stealing the items. He told police he recently lost his job, and the formula was for his 11-month-old son. “He just seemed like he was down on his luck,” said Bradley. “It kind of happened without even being said you know, we all knew what the right thing to do was,” added Mason. Each officer pitched in their own money, and bought him the baby formula, about $80 worth. Even Albertsons pitched in, and the man ended up with five canisters of baby formula. “He broke down, it was a very emotional moment for everybody that was there,” recalled officer Bradley. Police said the man was in tears. He was grateful for the officers’ compassion, and said he would never look at cops the same way. “He didn’t have really criminal intent, he was just a man trying to feed his child,” said Bradley. “And you know, I put myself in his shoes.” The officers told KRQE News 13 they treat every situation differently, and had a lengthy discussion with the man. “Where is he going to better serve that child, in jail – or at home taking care of him?,” Mason explained. “And that’s what’s important.” A Roswell Sergeant shared the story in a Facebook post, saying “Great job day shift. I am honored to be your Sergeant.” The Facebook post received more than 300 shares in less than a day. Several people responded, saying “awesome display of kindness, compassion, and respect!” Another person wrote, “Class Act right there! That’s what being a police officer is all about!!” Bradley and Mason both told News 13, they did not expect such a wide response. “We did it just because it felt like the right thing to do,” said officer Bradley. The officers shared resources that could help the man, so he wouldn’t resort to stealing. “If you can actually touch someone in a positive way, that’s what we want as a police officer you know,” said officer Mason. “My best memories and the coolest stuff I’ve done as a cop has been helping people.” Not only are people sharing the story on Facebook, they’re responding. Roswell Police said they’ve gotten multiple messages from people wanting to donate diapers and formula to the man. The officers are also helping him find a new job. Facebook

People Ain’t Isht: White Couple Mimics Eric Garner’s Choking Death On Camera As Reporter Tries To Cover Protests

SMH!!! Racists are getting so bold these days… Couple Pokes Fun At Eric Garner Choking Death In Background Of Live Protest Report We’ve already been made very aware that Black lives don’t exactly matter to everyone — but mimicking and joking about homicide ON CAMERA is a new low. Via MailOnline : A couple in New York wandered into a reporter’s live shot from Wednesday night’s Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting then thought it would be funny to re-enact the final moments of Eric Garner’s life. The outrageous prank is made all the more shocking by the fact that WPIX reporter Allison Kaden was on the scene to report on the protest at the ceremony. As she described the night’s peaceful demonstration, a man in a suit and a woman noticed they were on camera. The man grabbed the woman around the neck and then, as it dawned on the woman what her friend was doing, she played along and put her hands up. They both then laughed and walked off camera. Kaden finished her segment non-the-wiser. The in-studio anchors didn’t seem to notice, either. However, the folks at Deadspin picked up on the sick joke and the angry comments were sure to follow. With good reason. Garner died following his altercation with police due, at least in part, to the chokehold put on him by Officer Daniel Pantaleo. They really think this isht is funny. We’d be interested to see what happens when and if someone outs their identities, social media accounts, companies of employment… Wonder how funny it would be to them then?

Five Students Arrested For Gang-Assault And Imprisonment Of University Girl In Campus Dorm Room

Utterly ridiculous. SMH. Five Men Taken Into Custody After Imprisoning And Sexually Assaulting University Classmate Five New Jersey college students have been arrested for the imprisonment and rape of a female classmate. Apparently the young woman was forced to perform sex acts on each of the men in a darkened campus dorm room, then blocked from leaving the residence. Via MailOnline : Five students have been charged with sexually assaulting a woman and keeping her captive in a darkened dorm room at a New Jersey University. The female student reported last week that she was attacked at accommodation at the William Paterson University and then held against her will. According to the criminal complaint, the five men turned out the lights and used ‘physical force or coercion’ to attack the victim at the Overlook South residence hall. They then forced her to perform multiple sex acts before they stopped her from leaving the room. Now five men, who all lived in university residences, have been arrested and are scheduled to appear at Superior Court in Paterson today. Court documents show that the five men arrested were Noah Williams, Garrett Collick , Termaine Scott, Jahmel Latimer and Darius Singleton, who all studied at the University. The men, who are all 18, are facing a range of charges from kidnapping to aggravated criminal sexual contact, and bail has been set at $200,000 for each suspect. According to the Record, who obtained the complaint to police, Latimer is accused of pulling the woman by the hair and forcing her to perform sex acts. The other four men are alleged to have conspired to commit sexual assault, restrained another person unlawfully and exposed them to risk of serious bodily injury. The school’s president Kathleen Waldron confirmed that all five of the accused lived at the university and have been ‘barred from campus’. In a statement she added: ‘My deepest concern is for the victim of this criminal act who has courageously stepped forward to take legal action and seek justice. ‘No expression of anger or sadness on my part can alleviate the harm done to the victim and my heart goes out to her and her family.’ So sad that women have to worry about avoiding incidents like these when just trying to pursue an education. SMH.

Sorry, Not Sorry: St. Louis Rams Slam Reports That They Apologized To St. Louis Police For “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” Gesture

“ Who you finna try ? I bet it ain’t me, ooh b**** it ain’t me, CAPS, CAPS, CAPS, CAPS!” Via USAToday St. Louis County police and the Rams are at odds Monday night over whether a team official apologized for the “hands up-don’t shoot” gesture performed by five players before Sunday’s game. Neither law enforcement officials nor Kevin Demoff, the Rams’ executive vice president and chief operations officer, dispute that Demoff reached out to St. Louis area police officials on Monday, a day after five Rams players made the famous gesture during pregame introductions. The content of those conversations, and the semantics of Demoff’s words, are up for debate. Demoff told the St. Louis Post-Dispatchthat he did not apologize for the players’ actions, but that he “regretted any offense their officers may have taken.” “We do believe it is possible to both support our players’ First Amendment rights and support the efforts of local law enforcement as our community begins to heal,” Demoff told the paper late Monday. In an email to USA TODAY Sports on Monday night, St. Louis County police spokesman Brian Schellman said Chief Jon Belmar “believed it to be an apology.” “[Demoff] further stated ‘I regretted any offense the officer’s may have taken.’ Even though Mr. Demoff stated he never apologized, the Chief believed it to be an apology and the Chief sent the email to police staff to let them know about the call, after he told Mr. Demoff he would share his sentiments with his staff,” Schellman said. Indeed, Belmar followed up that call by writing a memo to his staff. In that memo, obtained by the Post-Dispatch, the chief told officers that Demoff “regretted that any members of the [Rams’] organization would act in a way that minimized the outstanding work that police officers and departments carry out each and every day.” Peep the slick isht the janky azz St. Louis Police posted to their Twitter page: GTFOHWTBS!
