Fat Joe Sentenced To Four Months In Prison For Tax Evasion Via SFGate reports: Rapper “Fat Joe” has been sentenced to four months in prison after admitting he failed to file federal income taxes. The platinum-selling artist, whose real name is Joseph Cartagena (car-ta-GEE’-nah), apologized to his family and supporters before being sentenced Monday in federal court in Newark. He pleaded guilty in December 2012 to failing to pay taxes on more than $1 million of income in 2007 and in 2008. U.S. Magistrate Cathy Waldor said she took into consideration the government’s allegation that Cartagena failed to taxes on some $3 million in income for years 2007 through 2010, an estimated tax loss to the government of $718,038. The Miami Beach resident was prosecuted in New Jersey because some of the companies he earns money from are incorporated in Somerville. A rep for the New Braunfels Police Department in Texas tells us, they have opened an investigation into the 19-year-old responsible for the tweet … after the picture (showing the fan aiming a gun at his sister’s face) was brought to their attention. The rep says the teenager in question “is cooperating and it seems this was just a bad lapse in judgment.” Police say the gun in the picture is a BB gun, not an actual handgun. The rep adds, “For now this is still an open investigation, and for the time being no charges are being filed.” As for the teenager — we spoke to the kid, and he has profusely apologized for sending the message, telling us, “I’d like to apologize to America for the photo and to put J. Cole in that position. It was all a joke.” He added, “It was an unloaded BB gun and my sister was in on it. I only tweeted it because I didn’t expect a response. Mr. Cole please don’t sue me. I want to formally apologize more to J. Cole and yeah my mom made me delete my twitter until I fixed it.” J. According Mail Online A married teacher turned herself into police after she was accused of having sex with multiple students at different times since 2006. Denise Keesee, 38, who was a math and special education teacher at Sherwood High School in Oregon, has been charged with six counts of second-degree child abuse related to two boys. The alleged sexual encounters took place at the school during school hours, at her home and at the home of the boys. She was also a soccer coach. According to Detective Robert Rookhuyzen of the Washington County sheriff’s office, none of the victims came forward willingly and police believe there may be more. ‘Some of the students she worked with were in a program for at-risk youth,’ Rookhuyzen told KGW. ‘These were young people who had come from broken homes, not doing well in school. And she was able to become buddies with them.’ He said Keesee would ‘date’ the students, taking them to movies and the park. Keesee’s husband Adam is the school’s police liaison officer and police believe this may have deterred some of the victims from coming forward. Adam Keesee is employed by the Sherwood Police Department and has not been accused of any wrongdoing. He has since been reassigned. The investigation into the special education teacher started in October 2012 after details about one alleged sexual relationship emerged. She was placed on administrative leave and has since resigned. Why do these educated women seek out these young boys? Maybe someone molested her as a child and she is just continuing the cycle.
