There has been very little positive feedback from a majority of Black Twitter when it comes to anyone shouting “all lives matter,” so one can guess at the type of response the flyer garnered. Both artists have spoken out since the flyer has gone viral. Fantasia created an Instagram video saying the show was canceled.   Important message regarding tonight’s event which is now rescheduled for next week. Thank you to the city of Charlotte. For the full video please visit http://facebook.com/fantasia Anthony Hamilton posted his video directly on Twitter, saying he had no knowledge of the flyer and that he believed “black lives matter.” He pointed to an earlier article he wrote on The Root affirming his stance. Unfortunately, there was a flyer put out with my name on it. That I didn’t approve. An all lives matter flyer. Race Matters: Report Shows That 91% Of Chicago ATF Sting Operations Target Blacks And Hispanics

Study Shows That The Chicago ATF Is Targeting Minorities In Drug Stings After what we heard about the “ War On Drugs ” this comes as absolutely no shock to us… Via USAToday A new report has found “strong, consistent and statistically significant” evidence that federal gun agents singled out minorities for controversial drug stings in Chicago. The stings had been a centerpiece of efforts by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to target violent crime. Agents lured suspects with the promise of a huge payday for robbing a drug “stash house” that did not actually exist, then left them facing long prison sentences for plotting to resell the imaginary drugs. An investigation by USA TODAY in 2014 found that the stings overwhelmingly targeted minorities. At least 91% of the people agents charged nationwide were racial or ethnic minorities. The ATF stings are particularly sensitive because they seek to enlist suspected criminals in new crimes, rather than merely solving old ones, giving agents unusually wide latitude to select who will be targeted. “They” want as many of us in prison as possible. ATF agents operating around Chicago have arrested 94 people in the undercover stings since 2006; 91% were either black or Hispanic. The new report, prepared by Columbia Law School professor Jeffrey Fagan, found only a 0.1% chance that agents could have selected so many minorities by chance, even if they were targeting only people with criminal records that suggested they were likely to be part of a robbery crew, as ATF policies require. Those results, Fagan wrote, show that “the ATF is discriminating on the basis of race” in choosing targets for the stings. The report was filed alongside motions by a University of Chicago legal clinic to dismiss federal charges in three ATF sting cases because agents intentionally targeted minorities. That request also accuses the agency of violating its internal rules for conducting the sting when agents targeted black and Hispanic suspects, but not when they targeted whites. A lot more than people are willing to discuss reports HuffPo : At least 15 black people have died during encounters with the police since San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick began protesting police violence by kneeling before NFL games, based on numbers compiled by The Guardian . Kaepernick’s decision to sit or take a knee during the national anthem first drew attention after his team’s Aug. 26 preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, when he told NFL.com that he was “not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.” Since then, Kaepernick’s continued protest has drawn considerable criticism from politicians, police unions, pundits, other professional athletes and many on social media who have opposed both his message and his method of conveying it. But the problem Kaepernick wants to highlight has continued. And on Monday, it was back in the news again, after police in Tulsa, Oklahoma, released multiple videos that showed the fatal shooting of Terence Crutcher. Overall, police have killed at least 67 people since Kaepernick’s protest began, according to The Guardian’s database. Roughly 22 percent of the victims have been black. Police have killed more than 780 people so far in 2016, according to The Guardian’s numbers. At least 193 of those people ― or about 25 percent ― were black. Of the 15 black people killed since Kaepernick’s demonstration started, at least 11 were shot, according to The Washington Post’s tracker of fatal police shootings. The white officer who shot Crutcher, Betty Shelby, was placed on paid administrative leave while the department investigates the case ― another issue Kaepernick highlighted when he spoke out against police killings. Ashley Williams Reveals Miscarriage, Sends Message to Women Everywhere

Ashley Williams has opened up about something as personal as it gets for women: A miscarriage. In a detailed and emotional essay for The Human Development Project, The Jim Gaffigan Show star talks with fans about how she found out she miscarried during a trip at Whole Foods with her son Gus, who was nearly two years old at the time. Williams also delves into what transpired after this tragic incident. She says she realized a great deal about herself as a result of the miscarriage and has a message for others who have suffered the same experience but felt they couldn’t discuss it. “My (still bloated) gut feeling is that something even more painful silences us  – the fear that we, as women, are failures,” writes Williams, who miscarried eight weeks into her second pregnancy. “Procreation, the driving purpose in our constructed notion of womanhood, is broken by this sudden trauma.” What would the 37-year old like to tell other women in her situation? “You are not broken. You did nothing wrong. You are strong, you are brave, and there is hope.” That feels worth repeating, in old: You are not broken. You did nothing wrong. You are strong, you are brave, and there is hope. In her moving essay, the actress – who played one of Ted Mosby’s major love interests on How I Met Your Mother – explains that she was shocked to learn she isn’t alone. Not by a long shot. Most of her friends have also suffered a miscarriage. “Medical confirmations of the lost pregnancy from OBs, chiropractors, and my acupuncturist use jargon that feeds more self-sabotaging thoughts that I am deficient,” Williams writes. The words tossed about in her presence included:  Abnormality … Defect … Incapable … Incomplete … Not viable. You can imagine how painful those are for someone who just miscarried to hear. So Williams wants to change the conversation. “I stand here in front of you, [needing] to normalize my miscarriage,” she concludes. “And I’d love to hear about yours. “I believe it will allow me  –  and us  –  to gather hope and strength. As we talk, let’s add some of these words into our lexicon: Survivor … Strong … Abundant … Mother … Hope . About one in four women have miscarried at some point in their lives. Williams want them all to form a movement. “I invite you to start, with me, a vocal army of the 25 percenters who can normalize miscarriage in the social sphere. I was right there next to you at Whole Foods, bleeding out of my shorts. “Now I’m well. I’m a survivor. Miley Cyrus Refuses To Walk Anymore Red Carpets The rumors about Miley Cyrus butting heads with her co-stars on The Voice has gotten a little out of control. Last month, it was reported that she and Adam Levine were at each other’s throats , and even Alicia Keys was said to act cooly towards the newbie. Now, Cyrus just wants off the show, and the season isn’t even underway yet. “Miley’s dying to get out of there ,” a source told In Touch. “Things are so bad. She’s had enough.” Levine apparently makes her life miserable, pushing the singer to the point where she’s constant “in tears” because he “tears apart everything” she does. “Miley feels like his favorite target,” the source said, adding that Levine “enlisted’ his co-star, Blake Shelton to gang up on her. The foursome shot promos for a new season (premiering September 20th at 8 p.m. on NBC), and after, Levine was downright cruel. “She feels like it’s a boys’ club and that she’s all alone,” the source said. “After they wrapped, Adam told her, ‘This will be your first and last season.’ “Miley shot back, ‘If I have anything to do with it, it will be your last season, too!.’ Jeez Louise. In other kooky Cyrus news, Liam Hemsworth’s main squeeze dropped an F bomb on the Today show this morning. Cyrus didn’t know her mic was on, so she thought the cameras were on her without sound. Nope.  The sound was on. “I don’t know what to do with my face right now!” she joked. “What should I do with this? I don’t know. There’s no sound, so it doesn’t matter what I’m saying, right? F–k.” Oh that is…special. The good news?  She cuddled Charlie, the black lab puppy who is being trained as a service dog. Because I’m ‘important’? Because I’m ‘famous’?” she asked. Yes? “That’s not how I roll. It’s like a skit—it’s like Zoolander.” Yeah it kind of is…. “It’s really not about the color of the carpet. It’s more about, especially women, we get yelled at to blow them a kiss, and I don’t feel like blowing you a kiss. “[The photographers] yell, ‘Blow us a kiss!’ Like what is going on? Who are you? And then you’re just kind of putting yourself out there for people to talk.” Ok, so Miley Cyrus A) wants to quit the voice B) can’t control her potty mouth and C) doesn’t understand the concept of fame.

Britney Spears: Considering Quitting Music to Do WHAT?!

Britney Spears has been enjoying quite the career renaissance in recent years. The 34-year-old singer is riding a wave of Gen-X and Millennial nostalgia with her lucrative Vegas residency , but she’s not just leaning on her lengthy list of past hits to pay the bills these days. Britney performed her latest single at the VMAs  last month and left little doubt about her continued relevance with younger audiences. Most pop stars can only dream of longevity on par with Britney’s. So why would she consider giving it all up for one of the hardest jobs on the planet? According to comments she recently made to NME magazine, Brit has contemplated leaving the spotlight behind for a life of chalkboard dust and runny noses. “Sometimes I’m like, ‘What am I doing? Like, I could be a teacher,’” Spears told the mag. Britney didn’t go into specifics with regard to what grade level or subject she’d like to teach, but not surprisingly, it seems her interests run toward music education. Just last week Ms. Spears tested her chops by taking control of a dance class for young girls: Britney Spears Teaches Dance Class She posted the video above to Snapchat, with a caption reading: “Teaching these little ones dance brings me so much joy. It’s so refreshing being with children. You’re reminded of the UNKNOWN once again… let’s all keep learning.” But while it seems she enjoyed her time in front of a group of eager pupils, Spears is realistic about how well she’d cope with the day-to-day demands of teaching after nearly two decades as an A-list celeb. “I see other people doing it, and I’m like, ‘Well, you know, it’s probably all they’ve known for so long, so it just kind of makes sense,’” Britney said. We’re not entirely sure what she means by that comment, but she seems to be saying that the reason prince-and-pauper life-swap scenarios are so rare in the real world is because we tend to grow accustomed to a certain lifestyle.
