Marital problems? What marital problems?!? With divorce rumors running rampant and tabloid claiming the marriage between Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel is crumbling, JT took to the stage at the 2014 People’s Choice Awards last night and gave his better half a shout-out. “I’d like to thank my beautiful wife for teaching me patience and the little things like just putting the dishes in the dish washer,” the artist said on stage. “It goes a long way — fellas, you’re welcome!” Timberlake, who won Best Album, Best Artist and Best R&B Artist at the end, also thanked Ellen DeGeneres for making him cookies. Watch now: Justin Timberlake People’s Choice Awards Speech
There were any memorable speeches at the People’s Choice Awards last night. Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev joked about their break-up . Justin Timberlake thanked his beautiful wife , Jessica Biel. But Jennifer Hudson stood out from them all, taking the stage to accept the Favorite Humanitarian award with her sister, giving props to God and then going on about the lesson her late mother taught her. “My mother always taught us that without family you have nothing, and whether you know it or not all are family, and what happens to the other happens to us, so it’s very important to make a difference.” Jennifer Hudson People’s Choice Awards Speech In 2008, Hudson’s mother, brother and young nephew were killed in Chicago by her sister’s estranged husband, William Balfour. She remains a very popular singer and actress, both among the public and also among those who know her best. It helps when she buys her friends a house .
Natasha Leggero ended 2013 in controversial fashion. But she’s starting 2014 by standing up both for herself and stand-up comedians everywhere. On New Year’s Eve, the former Last Comic Standing judge joked about a SpaghettiO’s Tweet from December that read: “Take a moment to remember #PearlHarbor with us.” Quipped Leggero to Carson Daly: “It sucks that the only survivors of Pearl Harbor are being mocked by the only food they can still chew.” From there, as you might expect, the Twitter backlash grew swiftly and furiously. One user referring to Leggero as a “vile human being.” However, Leggero refuses to back down. She took to Tumblr in response to the criticism and wrote the following: I’m not sorry. I don’t think the amazing courage of American veterans and specifically those who survived Pearl Harbor is in any way diminished by a comedian making a joke about dentures on television. Do we really believe that the people who fought and defended our freedom against Nazis and the Axis powers will find a joke about Spaghetti O’s too much to bear? Sorry, I have more respect for Veterans than to think their honor can be impugned by a glamorous, charming comedian in a fur hat. With comedians and humor outlets often apologizing of late for scandalous remarks – from The Onion backtracking from its Quvenzhane Wallis joke to Tracy Morgan making amends for a homophobic rant – many in the business applauded Leggero for her stance. Tweeted Amy Schumer: “I loved @natashaleggero ‘s Joke on New Years Eve. #itwasajoke #sheisacomic #selectiveoutrage.” Seth Rogen, meanwhile, added: “#FF @natashaleggero because she’s funny as fuck.”
While January 1 is traditionally a day to turn the page and look ahead, rather than back, there’s a certain comfort in still having the horn part of “Thrift Shop” stuck in your head. That’s likely the case for more than a few people who watched Macklemore & Ryan Lewis perform their #1 track along with “Can’t Hold Us” on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. The guys owned the frigid Times Square stage, with the rapper dressed for the occasion in his bright red sneakers and trademark thrift shop-esque poncho thing. Damn … that’s a cold ass honkey! Macklemore & Ryan Lewis New Year’s Eve Performance The performance punctuated an incredible 12 months for the twosome. An underground, unsigned and unheard of rap group when 2013 started, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are now one of the biggest acts in pop music. Whether you love them, hate them or somewhere in between, there’s no question that the Seattle duo brings it to the people … spreading it across the country. Na na na na, na na na na!

Once again, here is Debby Ryan heading out in public and looking super cute. However, this cuteness thing is going to get boring real soon, so she needs to step it up like Selena Gomez or Miley Cyrus because there is only so much I can write about a Disney star looking sweet and innocent. I’m not that gifted of a writer. Anyway, I hope her people are reading this.
Usher and Shakira are ready to turn up again. Shakira And Usher Replacing Cee Lo And Christina Any time a show replaces you twice, it can’t be good. Plus, Cee Lo needs that gwap to pay his lawyer fees. According to Rolling Out reports: This week “The Voice” wrapped up season five by crowning their winner, Tessanne Chin. Just days after crowning their victor, “The Voice” announced that they will be bringing back Usher and Shakira, who will join Adam Levine and Blake Shelton starting Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, when “The Voice” returns to NBC. When Shakira announced that she was leaving after her short stay during season five, she attributed it to her busy schedule … “It was a hard decision for me to make, because I’m really fond of the coaches, the people in production and everybody around me,” she told E! News. ” I really enjoyed The Voice, but I also have a musical career and I’m a mother now and my poor baby’s so tired flying such long distances. He already has more miles than any pilot. So I think I have to give him a little break, and we’ll see what happens in the future.” There has been no word from either Green or Aguilera’s camp on how they are taking their replacement … again. “The Voice” returns early 2014, with a two-night premiere on Monday, Feb. 24 and Tuesday, Feb. 25 on NBC. Phil Robertson has been suspended indefinitely from A&E’s Duck Dynasty amid the intense backlash over his recent anti-gay comments in GQ. The family patriarch is famously outspoken and never affair to ruffle feathers (excuse the pun), but these remarks were particularly eyebrow-raising. Many were offended, but others are attacking A&E, saying Phil Robertson’s anti-gay comments are merely statements of his religious and personal beliefs. Phil Robertson Suspension, Anti-Gay Backlash Sarah Palin was one of many fans to take to social media in response, charging that the Duck Dynasty star’s suspension is an attack on freedom of speech: “Free speech is an endangered species. The ‘intolerants’ hatin’ and taking on the Duck Dynasty patriarch for voicing his personal opinion are taking on all of us.” Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal also voiced support for his embattled constituent: “Phil Robertson and his family are great citizens of the State of Louisiana.” “The politically correct crowd is tolerant of all viewpoints, except those they disagree with. I don’t agree with quite a bit of stuff I read in magazine interviews or see on TV.” “In fact, come to think of it, I find a good bit of it offensive. But I also acknowledge that this is a free country and everyone is entitled to express their views.” “In fact, I remember when TV networks believed in the First Amendment. It is a messed up situation when Miley Cyrus gets a laugh, and Phil Robertson gets suspended.” Duck Dynasty: Phil Robertson Under Attack Over Anti-Gay Comments Many fans of the series took to Twitter to voice similar thoughts, but juts as social media users expressed relief that A&E took action against the star. GLAAD praised A&E’s decision to suspend Robertson indefinitely (though he may still appear in already recorded Duck Dynasty Season 5 episodes). “What’s clear is that such hateful anti-gay comments are unacceptable to fans, viewers, and networks alike,” said GLAAD spokesperson Wilson Cruz. “By taking quick action and removing Robertson from future filming, A&E has sent a strong message that discrimination is neither a Christian nor an American value.” The slew of Twitter reactions made Phil Robertson a trending topic on Wednesday, as major uproar ensued following the release of his GQ interview: At the same time, the pro-Phil hashtag #IStandWithPhil gained popularity. Among other things, Robertson called homosexuality illogical and cited Bible scripture to compare homosexuality to bestiality, adultery and prostitution. “It seems like, to me, a vagina – as a man – would be more desirable than a man’s anus, that’s just me,” he said. “I’m just thinking: There’s more there!” “She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.” Phil Robertson Slams Gay People Robertson, asked what kinds of behavior he considers sinful, added: “Start with homosexual behavior and morph out from there … bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.” Before the suspension, Phil issued a statement in which he said: “I myself am a product of the ’60s; I centered my life around sex, drugs and rock and roll until I hit rock bottom and accepted Jesus as my Savior.” “My mission today is to go forth and tell people about why I follow Christ and also what the bible teaches, and part of that teaching is that women and men are meant to be together.” “However, I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity.” “We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other.” VOTE: Should Phil Robertson be suspended for his comments? Yes, obviously. He was way over the line. Maybe. I can see why A&E decided to. No way. He’s just stating his opinions, people! View Poll »
