Okay let me just start by saying January 7 th , 2013 was by far the best day of my existence on planet Earth. I was able to meet the one and only Justin Drew Bieber and saw him in concert! My story starts back on May 23 rd , 2012. I knew that the Believe Tour tickets were going on sale soon and it was my dream to be able to go to one of his shows, no matter where I sat. I was going to ask my mom that day when I got home from school if she would buy them for me, but when I got there my mom was sitting there and she said, “You might want to sit down for this.” I was like, “Okay…” I sat down. Then she said some of the most amazing words I have ever heard in my life. “You’re uncle got you VIP tickets to see Justin Bieber in the 11 th row in Denver!” I was like, “OH MY GOSH! ARE YOU SERIOUS?” Sure enough, my uncle was able to get online for the American Express credit card pre-sale. After days and days of counting down, I got on a plane on January 4 th and flew to Denver just for the show. I was SO excited. Then January 7 th came. The long awaited day had arrived! From the moment I woke up, I could not stop smiling! At about noon that day, we got an email saying “Be at the arena at 3:45 to check in.” We were like, “What the heck is that supposed to mean? Is that for a meet and greet? What?” We go and we started waiting in line at 3 and waited and waited, and finally they started letting people through to check them in. As we are getting closer up there the workers are saying “ONLY BE IN THIS LINE IF YOU HAVE VIP 1. ONLY IF YOU PURCHASED MEET AND GREETS.” We didn’t know what we had so we waited in line and we were like, if we don’t get them, it’s perfectly fine. At least we are here! Finally we get to the meet and greet table. My uncle shows them the email, they look through their list…and then, “Sorry you’re not on the list. You don’t have meet and greets. We accidentally sent that email out to ALL VIP people. Sorry.” Tons of girls went up to that table getting the same answer. Many came out of the arena bawling because they thought they were going to meet their idol. My uncle was like “Hold on. Let me see what I can do.” We were not going to give up without a fight. Never say never right? My uncle talked to the box office, all of the people at the meet and greet table, Kenny, the arena workers, etc. Every time he talked to someone, the answer was “NO. There is nothing we can do.” My uncle was like “I don’t think we can do anything else. We tried.” My aunt was like, “Hold on. Let me talk to them.” She went inside the arena again and talked to this man who was one of the workers for Justin. She told him what was happening and he was like, “Hold on. I’ll go see what I can do.” He tells us to all come in the arena while he goes and talks to some people. The phrases “Believe” and “Never say never” running through our minds. We finally see the guy come back through the door. He hands TWO meet and greets to my aunt. He was like, “That was all I could find.” My stomach dropped. How were we going to decide between the 6 of us who gets to meet Justin? Then my aunt spoke up right before he walked away and said, “Can at least the kids go in?” (meaning me, my friend, and my 2 cousins) I begged so hard. I was like, “Please! Please! PLEASE!!!!!” Then he said one magical word. “Fine.” We then walked to the VERY BACK of the line. There were only 2 other girls behind us that were waiting for someone. The guy came back and gave us our extra bracelets. We put them on and we waited for our turn to meet Justin. I was so excited and happy. My cheeks were hurting, I was smiling so much! While we were waiting in line, we saw Alfredo, Dan, Kenny, and we even got a picture with Scrappy. We finally got up to the curtained area. I was like oh my gosh! I am like 10 feet away from seeing Justin Drew Bieber! Then before I knew it, it was our turn to go in. We go in there and he looked freaking HOT. He was wearing sunglasses, a white hat, a white shirt, red shorts, and red high tops. I stood next to him and he put his arm around my waist for the picture. I pretty much DIED. I put my arm around his waist for the picture, and I could seriously feel his abs. I DIED EVEN MORE. I felt like I should start singing ‘Die in Your Arms.’ Then the photographer was like “Smile! 1, 2, 3!” I didn’t even have to smile for the picture because I was already smiling. A true, genuine, happy smile. We took the picture and then, after it was done. He squeezed my side and was like, “Thank You!” That was when I was literally DEAD. I walked out. The whole experience maybe lasted about 15 seconds, but it was for sure the best 15 seconds of my entire life. I was so happy. We then went on to the concert where we were in the 11 th row. The whole concert was flawless, and perfect. I am so grateful for everything that happened that night. It made me the happiest belieber on Earth. Ted Nugent Says President Obama Hates America And Hates Freedom Gun activist and resident radical rambler Ted Nugent is known for making out-of-pocket statements aimed at President Obam a, and it doesn’t sound like he’ll be slowing his roll any time soon. via Huffington Post Rocker-turned-gun rights provocateur Ted Nugent is willing to say just about anything to attack President Barack Obama and his administration for what he believes is an imminent effort by the government to snatch up guns. During a recent interview, Nugent again raised the bar, invoking a Revolutionary war milestone to suggest that he and his “buddies” were prepared to fight such an effort at all costs. “I’m part of a very great experiment in self-government where we the people determine our own pursuit of happiness and our own individual freedom and liberty, not to be confused with the Barack Obama gang who believes in we the sheeple and actually is attempting to re-implement the tyranny of King George that we escaped from in 1776,” Nugent said in a recent interview with Guns.com at the NBC-sponsored Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show. “And if you want another Concord Bridge, I got some buddies.” Nugent appears to be referring to the beginning of the Revolutionary war, when colonial and British troops assembled at the North Bridge in Concord, Mass. in 1775 broke a standoff when one soldier opened fire. “The president of the United States goes to the Vietnam Memorial Wall and pretends to honor 58,000 American heroes who died fighting communism and then he hires, appoints and associates with communists,” Nugent said. “He pretends to pay honor to men who died fighting communism, and then he hangs out with, hires and appoints communists. I cannot even believe I am writing this right now. I don’t even know where to begin. First of all, we were not Beliebers from day one. We weren’t haters, but Justin was just like “that Justin Bieber kid” to us. We had wanted to see ‘Never Say Never’ when it was in theaters because we thought he was cute, and we were interested to see the story behind him. Dad was not going for it, so we just never ended up going to see it. Then it came to DVD, and mom rented it for us the day it released, May 11, 2011. That’s when our love for Justin began, and that’s also when I developed the passion to make Danica’s dream of meeting Justin come true. Click here to watch my video I made for Danica. Danica was struggling through a lot, and when that movie came out, it CHANGED our lives! We watched it for the first time, and we were BLOWN AWAY by his story! We just couldn’t get enough of it, so we made mom pay for an extra day of rental just so we could watch it 3 more times. Justin not taking “No” for an answer, not caring about what other people had to say, and just fighting straight through every obstacle – that is what changed our lives. We realized “he came from nothing, and look where he is now.” Never Say Never. I know people are probably like “that’s so cliche,” but it’s really true, especially NOW, I mean, WE MET JUSTIN DREW BIEBER! But I won’t skip ahead yet. When Born To Be Somebody played at the end of the movie, that was like Danica’s breaking point. That was when she realized, “Just because I’m losing my hair, that doesn’t mean I can’t fulfill my dream of being an actress. I can make a difference. I can be who I want to be whether I lose all of my hair, some of my hair.. I was born to be somebody.” From then on, Danica was like, “I want to meet Justin. I want to thank him. He really did change my life. It happened for the girls in the movie.” So of course, everyone’s first thought was, “You can’t just get up and say you want to meet Justin. That’s not as easy as you think, you know. How are you going to do that?” That’s when I made my Twitter account. Danica had no idea I even had a Twitter and what my username was. When Justin followed me, I couldn’t keep it a secret. I had to tell her. A month later, I uploaded the JBmeetDanica video with Danica’s story. I want to say: I didn’t make it because she was sick. I explained everything in the video, but I was trying to explain why Danica’s dream is what it is. I uploaded that video, and I had no idea of what would happen. I started tweeting the video all over Twitter. Then, I tweeted it to Adam Braun, and I woke up with a DM from him the next morning saying, “Good Job. I like it.” I was like freaking out. It also caught the attention of Michael Vargas, Dom (@radlife), Justin Alavi (@OtherJustin), Kuk Harrell and Mama Jan. 2012 was crazy. Justin had re-tweeted me twice, and both times, I didn’t even mention him. In August, Justin had a contest for his newest book ‘Just Getting Started,’ and I literally only tweeted “A” 7 times, choosing which picture I liked best. The next night, Justin tweeted “I’m about to announce the winners.” I got a tweet to my phone with my username and 9 others. I read it so fast, I honestly thought it was one of those F4F tweets. A week later we got the signed book in the mail, and we cried. He signed it with his full name, not just JB! #JBmeetDanica also trended for the first time that month, and it was INSANE, I couldn’t believe it! Then the countdown to Believe Tour had started and we didn’t have tickets to any shows because we couldn’t afford them . Louisville was 5 hours away so we convinced our parents to make the drive and hope for the best. We ended up being blessed with floor seats from one of the crew members. We can’t say who, but if he reads this, THANK YOU for being such a blessing in our lives! We didn’t get to meet Justin that night but the show was INCREDIBLE! I saw KENNY! I had jumped over chairs and everything to get to him because I just really wanted to hug him and see his beautiful smile. The show started and we felt like we were on top of the world. Justin just made us so happy. We couldn’t believe we were seeing him LIVE in person. Fast forwarding again, we counted down the days to Nashville, and again, we had no tickets because we couldn’t afford them. The week of the show, this is where our video above begins. Justin , if you’re reading this, THANK YOU for EVERYTHING. Thank you for being the inspiration that you are, changing our lives and inspiring Danica to keep fighting when she felt like she was at rock bottom. Thank you for insuring her that she was born to be somebody even if she loses all of her hair. Thank you for being so sweet in the M&G when our moment finally came. You always say, “I like that I can make them smile and forget about everything even it’s just for a few moments.” That’s what you did for Danica. I’ve never seen her smile as big as she smiled when she was in your arms. We just want you to know that we are so proud of you. You deserve to be where you are today, and we’re so incredibly proud. Five months after the Prince Harry naked pic scandal, The Spare is back from his tour of duty and opening up about his now-infamous Vegas weekend. “I probably let myself down,” he told UK reporters in an interview following his stint in Afghanistan. “I let my family down, I let other people down.” Prince Harry Interview “At the end of the day, I was in a private area and there should be a certain amount of privacy. The way I was treated … I don’t think is acceptable.” “Back home, all my close friends rallied round me and were great.” Prince Harry went on to say that he considers the naked photo incident a “classic example of me probably being too much army and not enough prince.” Harry had invited some girls he met at a hotel bar up to his VIP suite for a party back in August, and after losing a game of strip billiards, followed the rules. Photos were taken and leaked to celebrity gossip site TMZ. Minus 20 . Does Kyle invite Brandi to events just to watch other people yell at her? I’m sensing a pattern here. In a shocking turn, Kyle actually asks her husband to stop making a scene. Plus 11. Now why couldn’t she have done that with Faye at that dinner party in her home? Plus 15 because Ken and Lisa finally come to Brandi’s defense. No matter what the difference of opinion, attacking Brandi in public isn’t the way to handle it and it’s nice that someone at the table stood up to Mauricio. And when did Mauricio become such a drama queen? Minus 10 to Brandi for losing her cool. If she could just hold her temper and not tell people to F-off when they deserve it, she could come off looking good in all of this. Instead Kyle, Mauricio, Kim, and Taylor toast as they bad mouth Brandi when she heads to the restroom. Minus 13. Then, in the most pathetic move of the night, Mauricio tries to tell Brandi his attack was nothing personal. Minus 22. Seriously? How mean could he have been if he really hated her? And in a move that’s become downright habitual, Taylor manages to make the whole incident about her. Minus 11. I know I’m bored with Taylor. Apparently both Camille and Yolanda are tired of her antics as well. Speaking of Yolanda, Taylor snipes that she knows some dirt about her husband. Minus 9 because she never says exactly what that is. Either put up or shut up Taylor. Yolanda certainly doesn’t look like she’s worried about anything Taylor has to say. She’s off decorating mansions in her spare time for her ex-husband Mohamed. Over at Kim’s, she’s called in a psychic for her ghostly activity. Yup, there are spirits roaming her home and she wants psychic Rebecca’s help to get to know them better. Plus 12. Rebecca’s full of helpful information. There’s some strange woman’s spirit sitting on the end of Kim’s bed and a bunch of future grandchildren running around. No, you can’t see them, but trust me. They’re there and they make Kim feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Or perhaps that’s the hearts she sees dancing in her fireplace. Has Kim been drinking again? No, Rebecca assures her that’s simply a spiritual portal she’s witnessing. Who knew Kim had such vision? Paul and Adrienne come out of hiding once more. Apparently Brandi’s big revelation was so upsetting they ran to New York to get away. Minus 20 . If they aren’t going to tell the audience what the secret that won’t be named is, I wish they’d all stop talking about it. It’s gotten boring. I also wish Kyle would stop pretending to be Brandi’s friend when she’s obviously not. She’ll side with Paul and Adrienne at every turn. With Brandi, she’s nothing but passive aggressive no matter how much she laments being caught in the middle of this feud. Minus 18. And can someone tell Kyle to buy longer matches or have an automatic igniter installed in that fireplace before she sets herself or the house ablaze? But Kyle’s got big plans. She’s opening up a new retail store with mean girl buddy, Faye and they head off to admire the boob jobs of mannequins. Minus 15 . It was kind of creepy to watch them feel up plastic women. All of the ladies head to Daniel Maltzman’s gallery opening where Yolanda haggles to get a deal on a painting and Ken hangs out with the women from the Amazon. You have to love that Ken can laugh at himself. Plus 14 when he looks at the photo and asks, “Who’s that bloody midget in the middle?” Kyle’s in attendance and wearing an outfit that makes her look like she just walked out of a 1980s music video. Minus 25 . The woman has to hire a better stylist. The headband alone had me seeing flashbacks. Then she hooks up with Paris Hilton. Apparently they’re related. That explains so much. Brandi’s trying hard to make friends, or at least mend fences. She invites the ladies to her stripper pole party. She’s going to be giving classes on getting your sexy back. Plus 21 . I wouldn’t miss that for the world. And then Brandi invites the ladies to Vegas. What could possibly go wrong there? Episode total = -50! Season total = -316!
No live music was played, but the Saturday afternoon premiere of Dave Grohl’s Sound City documentary — about the fabled-yet-scuzzy Van Nuys, CA recording studio of the same name where Nirvana , Neil Young , Fleetwood Mac, Rick Springfield , Rage Against the Machine and Fear recorded landmark albums — felt like an all-star rock concert. Fans stood on street corners near the Marc theater, where the film debuted, offering to purchase tickets from anyone with a spare, and the musical artists who turned out to watch the documentary, included former Creedence Clearwater frontman John Fogerty, Grohl’s former Nirvana bandmates Krist Novoselic (pictured on the right) and Pat Smear, Springfield and Stevie Nicks, most or all of whom are expected to play with Grohl in a live show later tonight on Main Street in Park City. Before the screening, Grohl called the film “the most important thing I’ve done artistically,” and at the Q&A session that followed the movie, noted that the digital revolution, which transformed music industry (and essentially killed Sound City, which did things the analog way) enabled him to become a filmmaker and tell the story of the recording studio’s rightful place in rock ‘n’ roll history. “I made a movie. It’s shocking, really,” Grohl said. “Next, I’ll be flying your plane to Dulles.” Grohl and Sound City got an enthusiastic standing ovation at the end, and the people in the audience around me seemed to really be rocking out to a segment that has the surviving members of Nirvana playing with former Beatle Paul McCartney . The part of the movie that rocked my world, however, was when Grohl performed the gritty “The Man That Never Was,” with Springfield. Like a number of other performances, the song, which was co-written by Springfield, Grohl and others was recorded on Sound City’s fabled Neve console, which the Foo Fighter bought for his own 606 Studios when Sound City closed its doors as a commercial recording business in 2011. Grohl said these songs will be released on a Sound City album in March. I especially loved it when, after the performance, Nevermind producer (and Garbage drummer) Butch Vig tells Springfield: “You got some darkness in you, boy!” Springfield also turns out to have been an important part of the studio’s history and vice versa. He recorded his 1981 Working Class Dog there, which contained his breakthrough hit “Jessie’s Girl.” The success of that album was important to Sound City’s success. Springfield was also managed by Sound City’s original owner and even met his wife, Barbara Porter, who was an assistant there. I’m hoping that Springfield performs with Grohl on Main Street tonight, and that, as a result, Sundance sees a warp in the time-space continuum. See you on the other side.
